One of the nicer KOAs I have stayed at!

The site we were assigned to was way out of level so we could not level our MH and extend our slides out. Several of the sites near our site we're also severely sloped. The site was listed as a drive through but it was so short the site went up hill, crested and then went down hill. There was probably 20-25' of flat area.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We answer to KOA and our sites are within standards. Leveling is best done with your wheels first, then use stabilizers to take the movement out of your home, not level it. Not every site everywhere will be flat, in fact most are not. There are many Youtube videos you can get ideas from.

I arrived and as I exited my vehicle someone from the office came out and called across the arrival lanes that pets are not allowed in the office. Asking if my dog was a Service Animal would have been more welcoming. When I informed the employee my dog was a service animal and turned so the vest was visible, the employee apologized saying he did not see the harness. Not welcoming going forward.

It was an awesome campground. The service was fantastic and this campground offered more things to do/enjoy than any other campground we've stayed at.

We had campsite 22 it was a very nice, shaded level lot. The staff was wonderful and always so helpful. We had a hiccup about our check-out date, and they were so understanding and made arrangements for our extra day. The staff makes sure that all lots are cleaned and ready when you come in. I can't wait to stay again.

The staff was very friendly but sites were too tight for our long rig. Tight as in pulling in and out. Setting up was fairly level.

We had such a great time. The pool is nice the bouncy pillow was fun for the kids and the bathhouses were great.

This was a quick turn around but the facilities were clean, the staff was friendly, and the campground was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Excellent campground! Very helpful and friendly staff. Bathhouses were spotless! Nicest we have ever seen! The playground was such a great addition. The trees are beautiful and provide such a nice cover when it was hot! Location was easy to drive to also!

Our site was super cramped and was muddy and had standing water near the electrical hook up. Would only go back if we could pick our site.

We're sorry your experience was not the best. That site is usually a nice site and requested many times. That one is raised to allow for the wood deck. We appreciate the feedback and will reevaluate the site. I hope you looked at other sites as you may pick the site you prefer if you call us.

Clean and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool is amazing! Perfect temperature and the salt water feels so much better than chlorine. The showers and bathrooms are probably the nicest I’ve ever seen in a campground.

Staff was VERY friendly and pleasant! Campground was well kept. All facilities well maintained. I hated the gravel. There were large pieces and it was hard to walk on in some places at the campsites specifically. Even turned my ankle on it. There was also poison ivy around the campsite. Overall it was a really nice place.

We have stayed at a few K O A's and this was the worst one of all. I understand policies but when there is room for more than one vehicle per spot it should be no problem. It is like the signs saying NO DIVING all over the place, but on the rule #8 states you can dive if clear. They spoke to us about sitting on rope in pool which we weren't. It was not well maintained> WILLL NOT BE BACK

We allow 1 vehicle at each campsite for the comfort and safety of all our guests. The rules also state, Do not dive unless Diving area is clear, as you noted there is not a diving area. Safety is a top priority for all of our guests. Rules are created with safety in mind.

Clean, family friendly. A great first experience with KOA. My only suggestion is to add “ac” to the list of amenities for the cabin rentals.

Stayed for 3 days RV site 14, next to the garbage dumpster, no lids on dumpster, flies everywhere, bad smell. Site 14 smelled like when you drive behind a garbage truck. I have pictures to prove it.

We're sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. We do get very busy on weekends and, as humans, we create alot of garbage. Did you address this issue with staff? We had other sites available. According to your arrival time, we could have made adjustments. Have a safe trip.

Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The camp grounds are beautiful and the bathrooms are clean. They sell firewood and ice if you need it. My only complaints would be the bathroom lights are on a motion sensor, but it shuts off after 3-4 min. So if you are in the toilet you are in the dark. So please extend the timer on it. Thanks for a wonderful weekend. We will be back!

Campsites were beautiful easy to get to, easy to move around in. They need to pay walkways to the restroom remove steps and put in the ramp for handicap.

We had a good weekend. It would be nice if there were more pull thru sites where you could buddy. We had site 32, and while the site was nice, it wasn’t very wide. So upon arriving, I found poison ivy/oak vines extending into the camper lot. The wild growth wasn’t trimmed or well kept. I had to use an axe to trim back poison ivy/oak as my family is highly allergic.

We pride ourselves on being more of a Woodsy camping experience. We would appreciate the opportunity to cutback growth on our property ourselves, instead of a guest using an axe on vegetation that may or may not be invasive. We are in the office to serve our guests needs. Hope your children had fun.

Great Lake access if you like to fish, boat or kayak. Bathrooms were small and awkward to use. Staff was friendly and grounds were clean.

Thank you for the nice comments, however, you might have the wrong campground. We do not have a lake on or near the property for any of the activities listed.

Would suggest limiting late arrivals to quiet time, as really late arrivals, after midnight, really tend to disturb those resting.

It was a very clean and well maintained park, and the bath house was wonderful. All the amenities were in tip top shape. You’re not very far from lookout mountain about 15 miles and most of it was interstate. We would definitely stay there again, very impressed.

Great fun for kids! The bouncy pillow was a huge hit. Very nice, level camping spots. The whole place was spotless! Great internet too. Would definitely stay here again!
