Staff were very friendly and the location was very well kept. Highly recommend accepting the complimentary ear plugs as there is a train that runs nearby.

We came in very late and we’re planning on 10 Camping, but due to the storms, we ended up sleeping in a car. The only thing I would say is nothing was offered even via email to upgrade to a cabin or anything just because of knowing that the storms were coming in. I have stayed at this campground before and like the location and it’s cleanliness.

We stay hear every time we are going through the area because its nice and well laid out for getting big setups in and out and its also nicely tucked away! Also can book online or on phone or show up after hrs witch is very convenient!!

It was great when we got there. I have electricity. I had to unplug and grab dinner. When I came back, I had no electricity. It would have been nice to have some lighting in the tent area since it was close to the wooded river area. It didn't make me feel safe.

We reserved a sand-base electricity tent site. There was no sand.

The only complaint is that our camp site was on a slope (uneven). The bathrooms were clean. The water pressure was great, and the water temperature was nice when showering.

The park was turning tent sites into back in sites. Work was not completed. Paid for a back in space ended up on a grass site. Unfortunately no shade either.

Trains and whistles every 2 hours. Noise and light problems in tent camping area. That with only a couple of tents up. Nothing directing campers to the office at night for late check in. ( Maintenance area is where Google maps takes you). Camping spot itself was nice. Had water and electric as requested. A bit muddy, was supposed to be sand. Looked like electric was added. Bare ground there.

We stayed at this KOA recently and were very disappointed with the site we were assigned. It was an electric tent site, but the ground was so uneven and angled that we couldn’t level our camper at all—even a tent would have been difficult to set up properly. The hospitality at this location is amazing! It was a very hot weekday. After I set up camp I went back to the office to make a purchase and one of the gentlemen offered me a ride back to my site on the golf cart saying it’s to hot to be out and about. I greatly enjoyed my stay!

I felt safe, the staff was awesome! Very peaceful time. I unfortunately experienced vertigo and had to cut my trip short. Thanks to Jennifer, Erica, and Susan. The tall guy was kind also. The bathroom/shower house was pristine! I'd refer others for sure. Thanks for the hospitality! 5 stars period!

We camped for the night as we were passing through on our trip. Registering/checking in at the office was easy. Chilly night with a low of 28 degrees. Would have been more comfortable in a cabin.

Very friendly staff. Bathrooms were always very clean and the water was hot. :) VERY GRATEFUL for the dog park. The store could be vastly improved by providing basic grocery necessities like milk, tea, coffee, eggs, bread, etc. Campground was quiet, free earplugs were thoughtful; trains did not bother us at all. We come to Lawrence often and I'm sure we will stay here again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately as the season starts to wind down, we end up throwing more groceries away than we sell. We do carry all of the basics as mentioned during the season. We hope to see you then.

The manager was great, the pizza was good. Bathrooms were nice. The price was good. We were in a tent electric site with our camper van and little black flies were so bad we could not sit outside at all. We hurried and ate and then had to sit in our van. Also an airport nearby, trains, and of course I -70, made this a very noisy KOA.

Great people when I checked in. The campgrounds were lush and spacious which is really nice. Only drawback is the trains passing all night long and blowing the horns. That was rough. Other than that everything else was wonderful.

The campgrounds are delightful and well maintained. The staff is great! The gift shop is handy and well stocked. The only problem we encountered was the noise at night. The campground is located near both I-70 and the railroad line; the traffic and the trains are very noisy. I did wear ear plugs the second night and did better with the noise.

The stay was great! Even though I showed up 10mins after closing the hosts were still able to accommodate me! Next time I will book online and drop off cash in the late registration box! The stay was clean (everything) and I was happy to have a safe place to fall asleep while I was slowly making my way back to Canada ON. My only complaint is trains at night lmao! But that’s okay. Loved it

We are currently staying here, and couldn't be happier, the staff is very friendly and helpful, we've been in our rv full time for 2 years and have stayed at numerous campgrounds thru out the midwest and southwest, hands down this is prob our favorite, the grounds are so well kept, a big storm has came thru 2 dif times, the 1st with a tornado warning, they got everybody in shelter, then last night very high winds, thought the place would be a mess today, nope, spotless as if it never happened, you can tell the staff takes pride in thier work, definitely would stay here again.
