There was weather coming in and they were so kind to text us as well as give updates. They had amazing communication. There was a lot to do around the KOA that kept our kids entertained when we were there. We were going to check out Lawrence, but our kids liked the amenities so much, they asked if we could keep hanging out at the KOA.

Nice place to relax and slow down. We spent two nights there. Clean and friendly staff! Big play area for kids and a pool.

Beautiful campsite with our own dog run. Showers were clean and beautiful! Also enjoyed a pizza and chicken bites from camp store. We did have a little problem with 30 amp tripping after we turned on our A/C.

Great place to stay and they are always updating the place to better serve the campers. Great people on staff always willing to help. Great pizza too. Anytime I’m working in the area this is my go to place.

We have stayed here many times. The appearance of the campground, especially the camping sites, has greatly improved. Service was excellent and staff was friendly and professional. A great experience!

Sites close together. Only one picnic table for two sites and our neighbor set something on the table the first day so we had no table. Men’s restroom closed. They should have told us when we booked. Loud trains running all night. We will avoid this KOA in the future.

Trains noise is pretty bad. One train crossing and they have to honk forever. Thought having vent turned on would help but due to Thunderstorms we were without power most of the night.

Well maintained park- remodeled women’s showers were very nice! There’s a farm field next to here that provided beautiful sunrise view (classic heartland). easy on/off to i70 which is convenient but added a little road noise. some plane and train sounds too. great place to lay our heads on a cross country journey. Friendly professional proprietors. felt safe and slept well.

The men’s bathroom was closed and only one porta-potty provided. When I went to use it, it was as nasty as any I have ever seen. I think a minimum of 3 should have been provided. Otherwise was a very nice campsite. I was just passing through….

Great location. Close to campus if you’re interested in visiting the university. Nice restaurants around campus. The campground is pleasant and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent staff. The electricity and sewer hookups were fantastic and parking was easy. The only complaint is that the water hookup had a leak below ground level and it flooded that side of camper and made for a very messy disconnect and tear down when we had to leave.

Smaller property, clean, we'll maintained, very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kamp k9 had a nice sized dog run. No pet waste stations anywhere else.

You can’t go wrong staying at a KOA! We are traveling across the states to get home, so stayed only one night, but KOA hospitality, dependability and comfortable facilities make it a great stay every time.

Nice, clean, people friendly, quiet. Baths under remodel but did not need them. Wi-Fi also down again did not need it. Easy to find with room to spare once parked. Gravel sites with nice metal table and chairs. Would stay again if in the area.

We stay here on a regular basis and it continues to improve. The only real negative for us at this point is that the gravel is way past time to improve. The sites, for the most part, are level and the dog park is great. If it rains, the roads are either muddy or they hold puddles of water - hence the comment about gravel. This is a good place to stay.

We LOVE the Lawrence KOA! We've stayed there 5-6 times, and have a couple of upcoming stays during football season. The team there is so nice and helpful. The facilities are in great condition, and the park is in a great location, near Mass St and campus. Don't ever change!

The crew at Kansas City West has spared no effort in transforming KOA West into a beautiful and supremely functional campground. The staff is always very knowledgeable about camping matters and they are eager to help campers with any issues that might arise. Its a good campground, the showers could be warmer and the sites are a little close together. But not bad. I really don't get the noise complaints the trains are not loud the highway is constant but not bad. Just adjust your hearing aids.

We really enjoyed this RV park! The staff was so friendly! The grounds were very clean and pretty and we enjoyed a nice walk after a long days drive. We REALLY enjoyed the super fast WiFi that allowed us to stream a movie, something so rare at RV parks! By far the BEST KOA we've ever been to. Other reviews mentioned the train noise, but we were informed of it right upon check in and offered ear plugs (which we declined), but it wasn't even that loud and with our fans and AC, we never even heard it overnight. We have added this KOA to our list of RV parks to return to when we travel across country!
