Very friendly staff. Bathrooms were always very clean and the water was hot. :) VERY GRATEFUL for the dog park. The store could be vastly improved by providing basic grocery necessities like milk, tea, coffee, eggs, bread, etc. Campground was quiet, free earplugs were thoughtful; trains did not bother us at all. We come to Lawrence often and I'm sure we will stay here again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately as the season starts to wind down, we end up throwing more groceries away than we sell. We do carry all of the basics as mentioned during the season. We hope to see you then.

Well kept campground, sites had mature trees and plenty of space for our truck and travel trailer. Friendly staff, easy access to the highway and Lawrence, 10 to 15 minutes from KU campus.

The amount of days I needed to stay was accommodated to me after seeing on the website that no sites were available. Appreciated the laundry being open 24 hours & having reasonable rates. I was able to spend time with my daughter & son-in-law as well as with 2 of my grandchildren.

Led a group of Airstreamers from ColorAdo headed for an Airstream International Rally in Sedalia Mo. location was great for our purposes. Nice clean park and no we did t mind the trains

The site that I was put in was too narrow for a slide so I had to position it in a way that only left a small amount of space for the pickup. In that case I angled it so as to only have one tire on the grass/weeds. I then got an email addressing this and was told that I could park it in overflow parking down the hill about 100 yards away. This is unacceptable.

The sewer hookup was not in a useful place. We had to backup as we were leaving to access it. This defeats the purpose of full hookups. The sewer hookup that would that was taken by adjacent camper would have worked.

Nice campground. Lots of amenities but we stayed just one night so didn’t take advantage of any. East to get on and off from I-70.

They were so helpful to us, words would be not be enough. We had to arrive early for a family issue. They were understanding and allowed us to temp. park and hookup. Helped us with unhooking our tow. When we returned later that NITE, there was someone there to again help and ensure we got to our spot, and setup for the nite. All with a smile!!! WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN !!!!!!!!!

Nice campground...even delivers pizza to your site after you order it...showers need and upgrade, however they were clean.

We love staying at this KOA! Everyone is super friendly and always leave saying it’s one of our favorite places to stay. We stay in our camper for busy University of Kansas weekends and it is so convenient!

Excellent location. We stayed at paw pen site and enjoyed both the space for the pups and patio area. Recommend for anyone who needs space for their furry family members without having to go to K9 area.

The manager was great, the pizza was good. Bathrooms were nice. The price was good. We were in a tent electric site with our camper van and little black flies were so bad we could not sit outside at all. We hurried and ate and then had to sit in our van. Also an airport nearby, trains, and of course I -70, made this a very noisy KOA.

Clean & well kept. Tight spaces. There is a major train line within 2 blocks & at least 2 long trains run regularly through the night, sounding their whistles. Not tor light sleepers.

I’ve stayed at this place the last two years prior to the nascar races at Kansas Speedway. The people there are very nice and it’s very clean. It’s the best KOA I’ve ever stayed at.

I recently stayed at a KOA cabin, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and perfectly equipped for a comfortable stay. It had everything I needed, from clean bedding to basic kitchen supplies, making it feel like a true home away from home. The surrounding area was beautiful, with plenty of amenities like a pool, playground, and walking trails. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and I especially enjoyed the evening campfire activities. I also appreciated how quiet and peaceful the campgrounds were at night, allowing me to fully unwind after a day of exploring. KOA's attention to detail and commitment to providing a great guest experience really shone through. I can't wait to come back for another visit and would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a fun, clean, and hassle-free getaway!

THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE at a campground! I arrived right before they closed, they got me checked in, and even escorted me to my cabin. The cabin was spotless. Really cool campground with ALL the amenities. The bathrooms were SPOTLESS every day I was there. Laundry was really nice. The pizza and wings were delicious l, and the price can't be beat. They even delivered it to my cabin. Then I needed to stay 3 more days, and they even accommodated that! Every single staff member at KOA was so nice. One member even jump started my car when I left the door slightly open, and it drained my battery!!!! The wifi was for the most part always working fine, the train did not bother me at all. I actually loved falling asleep to it. If you have a chance..STAY HERE!!! Much better than Clinton Lake. Stay here and drive to the lake!
