the campground was easy to find coming off of the highway. The stay was a pleasant one, will stay here again when coming through.

The park was turning tent sites into back in sites. Work was not completed. Paid for a back in space ended up on a grass site. Unfortunately no shade either.

nothing great about this place, just glad 1night stay. Had a poll through.it was 95 when we got in about ,2:oopm . we had no shade at all , even with our awning out all the way . My husband went and ask if could use the pool and the young girl said pool closed for the season still full of water. I have never given such a low rating.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Normally we would have the pool closed after Labor Day. This is what is posted on website. We did keep the pool open past labor day. Very nice woodsy place nice camp ground.Gave use a great place on short notice. Grate dog run for are dog..staff where very cheerful funny as well.love the atmosphere..

Google maps directions were not correct. Tried suggestion from office staff but still did not work. Price was high for camp site that was awkwardly laid out with hookups. Ladies room was not desirable to shower in and some toilets were not functioning well.

The park is always maintained with nice RV spots. Would not recommend a buddy site if your neighbor isn't your buddy! The front office staff are very pleasant and accommodating! Love this KOA campground!

The pet site (6B) is so nice to have! I wish more campgrounds would offer something similar. The only problem is that the sewer hose has to run up hill from the rv and that makes it extremely difficult to dump grey and black tanks at that site.

Trains and whistles every 2 hours. Noise and light problems in tent camping area. That with only a couple of tents up. Nothing directing campers to the office at night for late check in. ( Maintenance area is where Google maps takes you). Camping spot itself was nice. Had water and electric as requested. A bit muddy, was supposed to be sand. Looked like electric was added. Bare ground there.

Overall, we enjoyed our weekend at the Lawrence KOA. The cabin was clean and well maintained, although some water damage on the wall and in the floor was evident. It was super nice that linens were provided. Unfortunately , we had assumed there would be a gas grill, as other KOA cabins we have stayed in have had them, and we did not arrive prepared with charcoal. The AC unit was loud.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even gave us a ride back to our camper when we walked to buy firewood. The laundry facility was really nice and not expensive, and we very much enjoyed our site with the private patio.

The site was very well kept. The staff was very unwelcoming. Not friendly at all. Only negative statements and never, "Enjoy your stay". Sites were to small for the rigs and they tight (very close to each other). Not much one can do about the sites! But maybe a conversation about attitude and welcoming could happen?

We love the park. The only thing that was a little annoying was the height of the hose bib at spot 14. A yard hydrant is frost free by design. So the length of stand pipe is irrelevant. As long as a hose is not connected it will not freeze. So placing it 4” off ground makes no engineering sense. Had to get down on my knees to connect and had buy a short hose ext. so I could use my press. reg.

Its a good campground, the showers could be warmer and the sites are a little close together. But not bad. I really don't get the noise complaints the trains are not loud the highway is constant but not bad. Just adjust your hearing aids.

We really enjoyed this RV park! The staff was so friendly! The grounds were very clean and pretty and we enjoyed a nice walk after a long days drive. We REALLY enjoyed the super fast WiFi that allowed us to stream a movie, something so rare at RV parks! By far the BEST KOA we've ever been to. Other reviews mentioned the train noise, but we were informed of it right upon check in and offered ear plugs (which we declined), but it wasn't even that loud and with our fans and AC, we never even heard it overnight. We have added this KOA to our list of RV parks to return to when we travel across country!
