It rained. We had a gravel site but it needed a lot more gravel. It was muddy and we and our dogs had to walk through mud to get into the rv. A very messy situation.

The people who run this KOA are awesome. However, the sights are just too close together for the money that it costs!!!

We enjoyed the campground totally. Staff is great, site mostly level. Easy access to everything, playground looked wonderful...the kids seemed to be having a blast. Our only issue was something they can do nothing about...the train whistles, it was pretty constant. All in all, we did enjoy our stay.

Everything was just as advertised in the cabin we stayed in except for the ant problem. Checkin was quick & easy and all the folks were very friendly. My grandkids loved the playground, zipline & pool and chasing the baby bunnies.

I was only about a 35 minute drive to my daughter's home in Lansing, KS. I was able to attend HS graduation events & commencement of my grandson. The office staff gave me info on mobile techs so I was able to schedule getting a new toilet in my RV. No problem scheduling an extra day to stay for the work to be done. When I had trouble getting the tow bar connected to my car, the office sent help.

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting friends. Fairly level site. Folks there were very nice and helpful. Laundry was clean. Would stay again

It was said there was train noise, but it wasn't really understood how bad. Train whistles through the night. Didn't get hardly any sleep.

We enjoyed our stay, this is the second time we’ve been there. Unfortunately, this is the only commercial campground in the area and even though it’s pretty good, their rates are exorbitantly high. I’ve stayed in other KOA’s on this trip and the rates were almost half of what they charged. In Georgia, the KOA even delivered warm chocolate chip cookies for free to our site after we set up.

Facilities are fine. Proximity to railroad makes for a noisy night. Office offered earplugs upon arrival...nice touch. We ran our AC to act as white noise, which obscured the train whistles. Were it a cool evening where AC or fan weren't options, noise could have been a problem.

Check-in was smooth and staff very friendly and helpful. Our site was level! Loved the pizza we ordered. Now for the bad, we stayed Sat night. There is a bar across from the property and the outdoor band cranked up the volume and blasted the music. The park can’t do anything about that, but a suggestion is to alert people checking in there is a noise ordinance. It stopped at 10 pm.

This KOA is the cleanest, friendliest campground we have stayed in the last 18 days. Extra bonus is the train horn in the distance (a personal favorite). If you’re near Kansas City West book it!!!!!!

This was a very clean and friendly park to stay at. The showers were well maintained and clean. I only have one suggestion and that would to get a stronger wireless system. I was unable to sign in.

Great stay, attentive staff, nice accommodations (stayed in cabin). Fully expected the “train noise” from a few previous reviewers to be an issue. It WAS NOT. We “heard” a train on occasion, but the noise was not disruptive to enjoying our stay nor was it disruptive to our sleep.

Parked us in a mud hole. Hookups covered in mud on day we left. Rear duliessplatterin mud on engine and toad. Impossible to dump. The site needed gravel to cover dirt. You have a lot of nerve to charge $75 for such a site.btw I have rates other koas on this trip 9 and 10.

We were in the smaller pull throughs that share a space with one neighbor; Two tables. Pretty close quarters. Only there a couple nights and rode the rail/trail just a short distance away. Can’t comment on facilities because we didn’t use them. Staff friendly!

Pros: -Big Rig Friendly (40 ft 5th wheel) 50 amp with full hook ups - Two playgrounds - Frisbee golf baskets - kids zip line -nice clean bathrooms/showers -dog park - good Starlink service -Verizon coverage was decent Cons -the showers in the women's room were difficult to maintain temperature and would get really hot for three seconds and then back to normal - loud train nearby Great campground. Would stay again.

Had a great experience renting a small cabin traveling through on I-70. Very clean cabin, very convenient for I-70 travelers. Bathroom was spotless, entire staff was smiling and made you feel like family. Great location to downtown Lawrence for shopping and entertainment. 👍 Lawrence KOA does it right. Will visit again when traveling through.
