I absolutely love this KOA. Boats are well maintained, rate is affordable and the campsite has always been well maintained. I’ll be back.

I panicked when I saw the 5 for NPS - I thought you didn't have a good experience. But then I read your review and was relieved. The NPS ranged from 1-10. You must have thought it was 1-5. LOL No worries - just very happy you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again! Happy Camping

This was our first time staying there, we have 3 children. It was extremely kid friendly, the owners were just kind. We enjoyed our entire stay, and without a doubt we will be back!

The owners were very kind, and surprisingly attentive given it appeared the couple ran the entire thing! They also kindly deliver the wood bundles and ice to your tent/camp spot and charge to your lot which was very helpful! The ground were very well groomed, the bathroom was clean for a campground, and the pool was very nice. The tents were very close together, not much privacy however.

This campground is IMMACULATE! Everything was wonderful. The new owners in their second year, are warm and welcoming. Such care has gone into this campground. They were very accommodating. The grounds were gorgeous. The bathrooms were spotless. The camp store was one of the best, filled with not just necessities but also local items. We had a great time! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Loved my stay! Management was very helpful and kind and boating out on the lake was wonderful. I definitely don’t see this as my last visit to the Houlton KOA!

Good place to stay for overnight going to Canada. But the highway is very loud. The showers are very small. I would have give it a 5 star if it wasn't for the highway. I could put up with the showers.

Ah, the joys of tenting - you do tend to hear more of the traffic noise. Some of our tent sites are closer to the entrance which does make it a bit more noisy. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about the road noise. Thank you for your review and we do hope you come back again.

The owner was incredibly nice. However, this just wasn't what you expect from a KOA. If you are charging KOA prices, need the KOA amenities.

I am so sorry you didn't enjoy your one night tent site stay. Is there anything specific you were expecting that we did not provide? The only way we can improve is if our campers let us know what we are missing - that is why I always tell our campers to let us know if there is anything wrong.

Very pleasant stay, kids enjoyed, nature trails are great, overall very good atmosphere, hosts and the friendly campers made the kids stay memorable. 2 thumbs up

Clean bathroom and shower. Very large site! Wonderful camp hosts. But the electric unit at our site that was fixed to quite a wobbly post was not in operation. Found a few cigarette butts at our site and we don’t smoke. Wish folks would not litter them. And the mosquitoes were relentless - welcome to Maine! Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Clean bathrooms and shower are a must here. The tent site you payed for was a basic tent site with no water or electric. I believe the post you are referring to was by the road and not on your tent site. Next time let us know if there is a problem so we can address it - we want happy campers!

Onwers were really great people, very friendly, helpful and hardworking. Campground was clean and well maintained. Our dog loved the little dog park and nature trail. We would stay again.

The owners are amazing, polite, and courteous. The only downside was the mosquitoes. They were HORRIBLE.

Stayed 1 night in late September on our way back from Canada. Campground was very nice and clean including restrooms . Owner was very nice. Great place to camp

The best campground I have stayed in. The owners are very personable and all around good people. Any issue I had they were willing to help fix itno questions asked. It is a beautiful area with a nice trail behind the campground. You might see a moose or two. Definitely stay here and say Hi to Michelle and David for me. Eddie Garlock
