There is so much to do and see within an hour or two of our park. Below are just a few of the many recreational activities you can do near our campground.
Use Green River as your base camp for the Utah Super Six, a one week itinerary to see the best of what Eastern Utah has to offer. You'll see Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley, San Rafael Swell, and Swasey's Beach. On this trek you'll see some of the most amazing landscapes you can find anywhere in the world, and when you're not out adventuring, you can relax at the pool while you re-energize for the next day.

Green River is only 45 minutes from Moab, a Mecca for off-roading enthusiasts, and a stone's throw away from the lesser-known San Rafael Swell. The "Swell" is unlike any other place Utah where you can ride your dirt bike or atv. The landscape is unique and beautiful and the trail system is robust, with similarities to Moab, full of sandy washes and jeep trials with options for riders of all skill levels. A few of the more famous trails are Temple Mountain and Five Miles of Hell.

This 10.0-km out-and-back trail is located close to Green River, Utah. It takes an average of 2 hours, 27 minutes to accomplish this route, which is typically regarded as moderately difficult. Perfect for off-road vehicles, mountain bikes, and hikers all year round.
A true wilderness trip with one road in and one road out. This trip starts with an unbelievably scenic flight over the Green River into Desolation Canyon.
Located in the San Rafael Swell, experience this 4.5-hour round-trip excursion to view what locals affectionately refer to as Utah's Little Grand Canyon. Aside from hiking, the Little Grand Canyon provides breathtaking views on a more compact scale.
The Green River Golf Course is a golfers' paradise, situated on the Green River banks and with views stretching to the magnificent Book Cliffs. The elevated tees and greens make for an enjoyable leisurely round. The nine-hole course allows golfing enthusiasts to play fairways surrounded by tall cottonwood trees and water hazards from the meandering river.The course was established to challenge experienced players and remain playable to newer enthusiasts. It also features an 18-hole, championship-level disc golf course. Rent or buy disc golf supplies at the clubhouse. The shop offers cart rentals, clothing, accessories, souvenirs and refreshments as well. When you play this course, you'll get to experience an interesting layout and exceptional greens. It is a popular choice, especially over weekends, so remember to book your tee time to avoid disappointment.The Green River Golf Course is just a mile from Green River KOA Journey. You can stay conveniently close to the course with one of our Deluxe Cabins or RV Sites and take a short trip to tee off.
