I was placed on the site of a previous permanent trailer that was destroyed. The site had glass on the ground, wires sticking out of the ground, and rusted screws embeded in the concrete pad. There was other house debris present as well.

The campground itself is very nice, it's just there's absolutely nothing to do on this island. We were planning on staying two nights but left after one. The staff was very nice and the campground was spacious.

Great place to stay. We stayed 4 nights this past week. Staff were friendly and facilities are well kept and clean. Will plan to come back soon.

The sign on the road was not lite while we were there. The area is very dark which made the entrance very difficult to navigate. Everything else was great.

The cabin we stayed in was well equipped but pricey. We are normally rvers but needed an overnight accommodation to visit ft myers. Understand that they are recovering from massive hurricane damage (23). Positive: staff friendly, all Rv sites/facilities are clean and new;Negative: onsite campstore was unstocked so come prepared. No local tv in cabin;allow time as only one-way rd on/off Is.

Difficult to enter or leave island due to one lane bridge. The island is very quiet and no beaches to explore. If you like quiet this is the place. The KOA is okay and still recovering from the devastating hurricane Ian in 2022. Missing campsite tables and patio furniture. The pool and clubhouses are restored and accessible.

Staff and facilities were excellent. However, the bug problem made my stay miserable. I don’t know how you could get rid of the biting midges (no see ums). I realize that you don’t have control of the insect problem, but this is why I would not recommend this resort. The pool and the hot tub were wonderful, but I had over 100 bites on my arms and legs.

Brenda was awesome with our check in. We weren't happy with our assigned site, so she changed our site to a much more suitable site. Brenda and the other woman were super nice. It's too bad that there aren't any pull through sites. I would have given it a 5 if there were.

We loved the area and the campground. It was great. The only reason I did not give it the highest ranking is that we felt like there was a bit of a communication issue. Our site was missing a table that we had to call for and there was no hot water in bath house #3, which they knew about, but did not post signs or anything.

Friendly staff!!! Wonderful over the top unexpected New Years welcome party. Pool is warm and hot tub is hot! Washrooms and showers are brand new and clean. Some cement pads are in rough shape but they plan to redo them which takes time. Need more picnic tables since many lost in hurricane. Coming back in March and looking forward to it!

Have enjoyed every stay there since 2010 disappointment this year were no picnic tables available. We were told they were on backorder two days after we got there someone else comes in and they get a picnic table within 15 minutes. We still had none a camper left their trash outand two days later it was still sitting there. I know there’s no trash pick up, but your workers went by it several tim

Am 31.12.24 und 01.01.25 konnte im Badehaus 3 nur kalt geduscht werden. Sehr unangenehm. Ansonsten ein sehr idyllischer Platz. Pine Island als Insel, bietet ausschließlich Ruhe, wenig Sehenswertes.

Very quiet and clean campground. Everyone was friendly. Although remnants of the damage caused by Ian they are well on their way to a complete recovery.

A very nice stay, with the area and campground are still recovering (and will for quite some time) from recent hurricanes, the staff were very accomodating and friendly. We asked to change sites to one with a picnic table and they brought us a firepit upon request...no issue. The campground, pool, and bathrooms were very clean, the game room was a nice break on a windy and rainy afternoon.

Paid $150.00 per night. Very high cost for a KOA campground and we expected a high quality KOA. When we got to our patio site we saw a large pile of old wood & ashes on the pavers. No picnic table was available on our site. Called office & was assured by Brenda we would get table the next day & ashes would be cleaned up. Neither was done. Worst KOA we have stayed in. Will not be back!!

Very nice park but traffic made it difficult to get on or off the island (sometimes too long a wait). Not enough to do on the island. Lacking restaurants also.

It’s a super nice place… but - when we checked in, we were assigned a campsite on the far end of the campground from the office, pool, laundry, etc. We set up camp. Then realized that the bathroom near us had no hot water and the laundry was not working. The person at the office should have told us, and offered us a closer spot to amenities (it was not crowded).

When we checked in, we were told there was no fire pit. When we placed our order online, it said $120/per night. Back in 50/30/20 amps, full hook ups, patio, premium site. The amenities listed were patio, hard surface patio and fire pit. The manager made it sound like she was doing us a favor by throwing a fire pit at no charge. Might want to check your website. Lonny was very friendly and helpfu.

KOA charging "normal" rates to RVs when not yet recovered from hurricanes. No fitness center, no camp store, no hot water in bath house nearest site. With very few RV and trailers visiting our first night, why were we placed so close to campers who played loud music outside their rig all afternoon/evening? No excuse for KOA to allow, since wide availability of earbuds and headsets.

Beautiful facility but most of all a fantastic staff! The facilities are kept immaculately clean. The park is huge with beautiful lakes and abundant wildlife to include nesting Bald Eagles! Quiet and peaceful and absolutely no road noise. They are almost completely rebuilt from the hurricane with just a few finishing touches to go on the brand new clubhouse.

Everything was great except night #1 when there was no power at my camp site. Had to endure that first night without a fan, but it was ok once the power was turned on. Had the entire back of the camp to myself which was nice. Pool was awesome and the new bathrooms are great.

The staff here is beyond phenomenal! Amanda was not only extremely nice but overly accommodating as well as her employees. Her Team flows and everyone knows their direction. Location is recovering from Ian but should be a prime spot to visit! We honestly can't wait to go back! Our little cabin was so much fun and more than we could ever need!

We had a wonderful time. Directly after the hurrcane in October 2024, our lodge was perfectly clean, well prepared and organized. The whole place was nicely taken care of. The KOA staff was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this location.

We live in SW Florida but wanted to take a quick trip in our motorhome. We've never been to this campground before, I reserved a spot online and put in how many of us and how long our rig was. Showed up on Saturday at 1 to check in and found our welcome packet, made our way to our spot on the water and had a great time. Took the kids to the park and walked around the grounds. Showers and bathrooms were reallly nice. The ONLY thing we hated was the noseums when the sun went down. They were absolutely horrific. We'd go here again in the colder months, really nice park.

This campground is a little over an hour away from us & when KOA rewards offered a free night, we decided why not? We are new travel trailer owners & want to get some weekend trips under our belt before our first long trip. This campground was better than I expected! Being that is was off season the park was quiet & peaceful with only a few campers & even less live in residents. The park is really clean & well kept. We had a site on the lake with a level concrete pad & full hook up all in working order. The bath house closest to us was immaculate. This campground has 2 clubhouses , one with a gym, pool tables, a game room Etc… laundry , tennis/pickleball courts, basketball 1/2 court, a fenced in dog park with agility equipment, fish cleaning station, a beautiful pool & hot tub and a camp store. I noticed the tent sites had nice platforms to get campers off the ground & outdoor kitchens with a sink & microwave. The employees were super nice & led us out to our site in a golf cart. I really like this KOA and we will be back for another weekend getaway.

stayed in a great little cottage. clean, nice, well equipped. Pool is great too. Park is convenient to all the tiki bars in St. James City
