The facilities were lovely. However, the campground is quite isolated and pretty far away from just about everything except for fishing. The person who greeted us could have been a bit friendlier; perhaps she was having a bad day.

VERY NICE! EXTREMELY CLEAN. THE STAFF WAS AWESOME. THE CAMP SITE WAS PERFECT. The only comment, although it wasn't a big deal. The sewer stub to hook the RV sewer line was a god 12 inches above the ground. would have made the hook up easier if it were closer to the ground. Thanks to the staff for keeping a very nice park.

Only stayed one night. Amenities at the camp were well kept. Had a back-in spot by one of the ponds (nice) but also right by the water treatment equiment (not great). Traffic was really backed up getting onto the island due to bridge repair work. Overall KOAs are getting pricey.

The campground itself was great-beautiful facilities and amenities, friendly people, etc. However, if your main objective is beaches/shelling or fishing from the shore, this is not the place for you unless you intend to drive at least an hour (more with the bridge construction). The fishing pier at Bokeelia was wiped out during the hurricane/s, as were a lot of other things.

The campground was kept beautifully, very clean bathhouses! The people and staff are amazing! We’re coming back in 2026. Definitely a great place to explore.

Let me start with we enjoyed our stay at Pine Island KOA. However, when we arrived the site we were assigned was not useable (holes) and the alternate sites offered were not consistent with our reservation. A very nice maintenance man showed us a nice site. The sewer cleanout was way too high, so the tanks would not drain. No ground cover except for sand, which got everywhere. Nice neighbors.

They are still doing some repairs from the hurricane, but, it’s a beautiful place with some of the nicest people including the regulars that stay there. We hope to become some of the regulars too!

One of the best KOAs we have stayed at.very clean. I have to give an extra shout out to Brenda and Ed( the office staff)! Brenda was so easy to deal with, kind, respectful, and got right on anything we needed. I have to say she made our stay easy and stress-free. We will definitely be back next year.

We love it here. It’s very peaceful. They have done an excellent job rebuilding the park. Staff is great! We extended our stay for extra month and already booked four months next year. Favorite park.

The campground was very clean and weather was great. The issues I had were; 1. It is a huge campground and we were almost ½mile from any amenities. 2. There was constant tractor noise all day until after 7pm from them moving new picnic tables to campsites. 3. No-see-ums were a significant issue. 4. There were dead end electrical cables sticking about 2-3 inches above ground near water to trip on

The pad was dirty no place to park had to park on my patio. No place to sit afterwards to get in Clubhouse a locked. called on 17th and 19th to have rain coverage on my site no return calls . I left messages messages after both calls with no return felt rates were inflated .

The staff was superb, so friendly, responsive and helpful. Loved all the amenities at the campground. Pine Island was a fun place to stay. It will be even better when the construction is over.

We need help because our camper broke down and needed repair. They changed our rv stop for a cabin for our stay. They were very helpful with us.

Rude manager said she would thing about letting our bus stay there 4 days ahead of our stay. Rude maintenance guy as well complained about our kids in the club house. Other campers were awesome but that’s about it.

Had a good experience. Liked the bath houses and pool, spa area. It is nice to go somewhere and all the facilities are in top notch working order. Campground was nice and clean. Only thing that was not great was some of the drivers on roads where going much to fast, not much the park can do about that unless adding speed bumps.

Some sites are fully repaired after hurricane Ian, many are still “rough”. We were supposed to have a site with a picnic table but there only a few sites that had one. The park was about 1/3 full the 2 weeks we were there. There are limited things to do on the island and to get into Fort Myer or Cape Coral is a nightmare due to the 1 lane bridge getting on/off the island. Nesting eagles were

Patio site did not have picnic table, sewage was not close enough to hook up to our rv, and site was full of garbage and debris. Grounds do not seem to be maintained.

This was a last minute change and glad we found out. Super clean and fun activities. Some rebuilding is still in the works but it was great to stay and support the efforts of this island.

We live in SW Florida but wanted to take a quick trip in our motorhome. We've never been to this campground before, I reserved a spot online and put in how many of us and how long our rig was. Showed up on Saturday at 1 to check in and found our welcome packet, made our way to our spot on the water and had a great time. Took the kids to the park and walked around the grounds. Showers and bathrooms were reallly nice. The ONLY thing we hated was the noseums when the sun went down. They were absolutely horrific. We'd go here again in the colder months, really nice park.

This campground is a little over an hour away from us & when KOA rewards offered a free night, we decided why not? We are new travel trailer owners & want to get some weekend trips under our belt before our first long trip. This campground was better than I expected! Being that is was off season the park was quiet & peaceful with only a few campers & even less live in residents. The park is really clean & well kept. We had a site on the lake with a level concrete pad & full hook up all in working order. The bath house closest to us was immaculate. This campground has 2 clubhouses , one with a gym, pool tables, a game room Etc… laundry , tennis/pickleball courts, basketball 1/2 court, a fenced in dog park with agility equipment, fish cleaning station, a beautiful pool & hot tub and a camp store. I noticed the tent sites had nice platforms to get campers off the ground & outdoor kitchens with a sink & microwave. The employees were super nice & led us out to our site in a golf cart. I really like this KOA and we will be back for another weekend getaway.

stayed in a great little cottage. clean, nice, well equipped. Pool is great too. Park is convenient to all the tiki bars in St. James City
