We really enjoyed our overnight stay at KOA Flatwoods! The RV sites were level, and the park was in pristine condition. The paved roads throughout made it perfect for walking. We loved the multiple elevation tiers of sites, which gave the park a unique charm and character. It’s truly a beautiful park nestled in a stunning mountain region of West Virginia.

It was ok. Streets are narrow and very hilly to get to sites. Sites not completely level. Had to use 10 inch blocks under our rig front. Campground well maintained. Late in the season so no activities. Didn’t use facilities so no opinion there.

Convenient to the interstate but I did not hear highway traffic. Amenities are tied to the nearby Days Inn, so while they are nice, it’s a drive, pretty much. We saw deer both days!

Very easy access for overnight stay. Even though close to the highway, you have no highway noise. Campground was nice, though not as pristine as the pictures shown. The grassy area around our site had lots of divots and was not level at all, and the grass was almost a foot tall! Not all sites were like that, but ours was terrible. The site for the RV was, however, fairly level. Sites need gravel.

The campground was clean and quiet and the campsites spacious. I liked that even-though it is located near a busy highway and a hotel you feel like you are camping in the wilderness. The location is convenient to lots of things. The bathhouse was clean. Having ice available was a nice bonus.

We stayed just for the night, but well worth it! The roads getting to our site were a tight fit, but passable! We loved how quiet this campground was and the deer that came through in the morning!

Seems as though maintenance isn’t keeping up with things, as we were unable to hook up sewage, the hookup needs some work. Also the water connection leaked all night but we didnt realize it until we saw a lot of water around us in the morning. We only stayed one night but wouldn’t want to stay here longer than that. We were offered another site but didn’t want to break down and move.

I had a bad experience at Flatwoods because I was sent to a site that had no water. It is unclear why the staff didn’t know because the maintenance/security staff did know. The front staff then sent me to another site but the electric wasn’t working properly there. Luckily the security staff intervened and I was given a good site. He told me that I would be given a refund but I didn’t receiv

This was our 2nd time here. Same site too! Extremely not level. I noticed a class c with a wheel off the ground!!!! The campsite is lovely, and should have a sign to check in at the hotel. Some campers were driving around looking for an office. It’s nice a quiet for a quick stay!

Very nice park. Plenty of space between sites. Well taken care of grounds. They have a play area for both kids and dogs. You can use the hotel facilities. The WiFi is excellent. We would not hesitate to come back here again.

Got in late and left early so not much experience with all the amenities. Everything we used worked fine (electric, water, sewer). It would have been helpful to know our site number before going through the entrance gate - since this was our very first stay at a KOA I was unfamiliar with the procedure for learning site # - if it was somewhere on my reservation confirmation we couldn't find it.

I level campsites, no personal on property, difficult to navigate to camp ground. Will not be returning to this KOA!

The first site we had was pretty unlevel and had an issue with the power pedestal. The 30amp plug was installed upside down but worse was there was no power. Luckily there was another site for us to move to. Other site was still pretty unlevel. Was also disappointed the free continental was not included. Bathhouse was clean and good hot showers.

The lots are level in this West Virginia KOA. It is close to the interstate highway but you don’t hear any road noise. It is a scenic location.

Site 36 had a bad 50 amp breaker, had to use site next to me, fortunately I carry a heavy extension cord. Water pressure was 80 lb, blew valve off my toilet, but that’s on me, I should have checked the pressure and used a prv valve. Management was very accommodating , offering a move to another site, but we were already set up for the night, we shut off water to the toilet and just filled fro

Great spot. Excellent customer service. There were lots of deer roaming around. The roads are a little narrow and some with steep inclines so you need to take your time. The staff was very accommodating when we had to add a night.

The only positive point was the scenery. Negatives: staff (hotel that manages campground) = 2/10, friendliness = 1/10, overall I would not recommend this campground to anyone. Did not take care of the customers as I expect from a KOA

Going north on 79 and stayed one night. Check in was in the hotel but easy to pull up alongside the entrance. Site was easy to use and complete with fire ring, grill and had trash pick up. Not level and took a bit of time/creativity, but got it done. Grounds were spread out and felt small and private with trees. Bath house, laundry not close by but not needed. Will stay again

I don’t get all the bad reviews. ( although I did on my walks with the dogs see some really uneven sites.. ). Love our site in # 3 and yes it was a little u even but go to Walmart or Cracker Barrel if you don’t want the camping experience ! Yes I’ll stay again

It is perfect for a one night stay when traveling for a long distance. If I wanted a campground with activities this would not be my choice - but it was perfect for our needs to break up travel for an evening.

Sure wish the manager would read these reviews about unlevel sites . This should just be annual maintenance job . Truth is they have been like this for years . I mean how hard can be to grade these sites level !!!! In the meantime be sure to bring your your own 2x4s to level your trailer . Aside from that the park is great .

Nice location right off the interstate! We stayed one night while traveling home. Our campsite had no trees for shade. I didn't check out the whole park, so maybe some of the other sites had trees. Check in was at the Days Inn next door. I went to the front desk to check in and my husband went to get a pool key. We both noted that the staff was not friendly at all. Overall, it was a good campground and we would stay again.

We stayed overnight in a pull thru site on 4/30/26. You have to register at the Hotel before you go down into the campground. The sites are nice with a decent amount of room. Most of the sites look pretty level. The campground is pretty hilly. We stayed at site 66. It is nice and dark at night. The internet service was real good. The Hotel is affiliated with the campground, so the indoor and outdoor pools are available to use as is the fitness center. There is a restaurant in the Hotel also. There are hiking trails onsite and also an auditorium.
