Was the bare minimum to meet KOA standards no Camp store to buy souveniers of your trip forced to use local stores for camping equipment or necessities just not what I expexted.

Every stay we have had there has been wonderful. We will be back. It’s close enough to family should they need us, and far away enough to be gone for a few days. Thank you KOA for giving us great family and non family experiences. Your campground is beautiful and perfect in every way. Clean. Small park for kids. Dog walk fenced in area.

The internet was not working well during our stay but other than that, it was a great experience. The place is clean and quiet. We will be back!

This really is not a campground, it is a hotel with a campground out back. Do not mistake this for a KOA with amenities. Nothing wrong with that for travel stop. Wi-Fi was amazing.

Bad internet connection. Very important for my needs. However Ryan was kind and courteous. Not many showers (2) in women’s room and no brush to clean toilets after those special moments.

Was fine except for grasd not bring mowed gor weeks. Yard is very uneven with holes that you cannot see due to high grass. Bad for small kids and pets. Worried about ticks.

Only stayed overnight but clean and very quiet. Staff was very friendly. Stayed here once before as we use when traveling through West Virginia.

Got there late afternoon and checked in at the days inn as required. Issued site #10. The place was pretty much empty but somehow we ended up with what seemed to be a substandard site compared to all the other empty sites around us. Since we were only staying 1 night, we made the best of it.

It’s perfect if you just need a place to sleep. If you have kids, there is nothing for them to do. I get you have a “playground” (monkey bars, a swing and a handle bar to hang from) but its so old. Your tether ball is deflated and the string holding it on has been broken and tied back together several times.

This was our last night of a 20 day RV trip, and Flatwoods was the perfect spot for it! What a lovely property! We even had our one and only campfire of our trip!

This campground is meant for layovers. Nothing for kids other than a tiny wooden playground. It’s peaceful and quiet, Bathrooms are clean; however I was disappointed the lawn has not been mowed and one garbage was overflowing. Staff at the hotel it’s connected too are very friendly. No lights throughout the campground, so extremely dark making it dangerous as there was a cub sighting.

Very nice and quiet place to camp. Need some restrooms built on the upper campsites though. Quite a walk down hill to the ones available. Need a better sign pointing to where to register prior to entering the campgrounds.

For a one-night stay fine, gravel camp site. For the high price KOA charges, I expect something stellar. The road up was not as dreadful as some reviews said, no problem, wide 2-land paved road up the hill. We were impressed that in spite of being in the mountains, it was flat, there was a slight side-ways tilt to our site. I was chastised for not listing length of truck+trailer. News to me!

we stayed 5 nights for a motorcycle rally being held at the adjoining Days Inn. I need to change my reservation last minute due to family emergency. Staff was very accommodating and no charge for making the change. Property was well kept and bathhouse with laundry very clean. The Ice Machine available to all campers was a definite plus. Great place!

Tent only sites not available. Tent sites are charged at the Full RV hook up rate. Tent campers are spaced far apart and RV’s are placed right next to the adjacent tent pad. The fire pit was full of trash and the site had trash scattered everywhere, which I picked up and put in the fire pit. I will not stay at this KOA/Days Inn Journey again. In addition some of the desk staff where rude.

Clean nice park. Bathrooms and showers are too far away if they place you on the hill. Especially when you are handicapped like me.

Pros: Very quiet, sites are level, nice concrete patio with picnic table, bath house very clean and roomy, easy check-in, all sites are pull-through. Cons: No camp store, Days Inn amenities aren't as close as the description would have you believe, no gift shop in Days Inn (advertised to have one), no staff on site at the campground

It was a stopover and it was lovely! We were up on top of the hill with other big rigs and it was so quiet. We had deer close by that were fun to watch. We will return!

Clean quiet campground. Close to main road for quick overnight but very quiet. No TV reception and no cable. Clean restrooms. Enjoy the natural beauty.

I was in the the upper section site 30. The sewer pipes are so far out of ground up there that their basically useless. I ended up going to a nearby rest area to dump my tanks. Driving around, I noticed that the lower sites didn't seem to have the sewer issue. Other than that, the sites were nice. Even deer came by for a bit. WiFi was good.

What I saw of this campground it was clean and well maintained. Easy check in and access. Friendly people. Hope to return for a longer visit.

Nice place, but expected it would be better since associated with on site Days Inn. Sites pretty level. Site long enough for larger rigs plus tow vehicle. Gravel pad had grass and weeds growing through making it appear as if two ruts plus grass around in campground needed mowing. No shade. Bathrooms modern and somewhat clean except for poor manners by campers. Nothing to do in area.

Nice location right off the interstate! We stayed one night while traveling home. Our campsite had no trees for shade. I didn't check out the whole park, so maybe some of the other sites had trees. Check in was at the Days Inn next door. I went to the front desk to check in and my husband went to get a pool key. We both noted that the staff was not friendly at all. Overall, it was a good campground and we would stay again.

We stayed overnight in a pull thru site on 4/30/26. You have to register at the Hotel before you go down into the campground. The sites are nice with a decent amount of room. Most of the sites look pretty level. The campground is pretty hilly. We stayed at site 66. It is nice and dark at night. The internet service was real good. The Hotel is affiliated with the campground, so the indoor and outdoor pools are available to use as is the fitness center. There is a restaurant in the Hotel also. There are hiking trails onsite and also an auditorium.
