We were first yelled at when we got there for not stopping at the stop signs to register, but there was no signs saying to do this! We were yelled at for dropping off kids at the pool bc we were in the way but there was no signs on where to park. I tried asking the time of the activities for the evening and I was just told they’re over. Would not stay here again!

One Night traveling. Good office staff and clean organized campground. Site was clean. Unfortunately the sewer stack was higher than our trailer drain outlet and had to lift line for drainage of holding tanks. It was a very good place for us to stop for the night. The park was much cleaner and maintained better then most KOA parks.

Need dust control on campground roads. The camper escorts drive to fast bringing in new campers and the golf carts of campers need to obey the speed limit, ( just to much dust ). Over all the park is a solid 8.5 out of 10, but the dust just turns me off from returning.

Very narrow sites where we were placed. Across from us were wide spots that were empty. They were probably an up charge and would have been nice to have someone tell us about them and let us decide to pay more or not.

The campground and staff are very helpful. The campgrounds look new and a lot of construction is going on which is ok. My only issue was the ground was very muddy after some heavy rains and even with the gravel that was put down, I had sticky mud on my shoes which then picked up the loose gravel. I tracked all that into my camper. It's not their fault and campsites with cement pads can be rent

Initial impression was that it was a nice park. We were in site #11. Whiile setting up it became clear that people were using this site as a short cut. First an SUV drove right down the side of us luckily before I put our slide out. Then a family with 5-6 children also paraded through. We complained to staff and asked if we could move or at least get it blocked off but were told no. Won’t retu

Nice friendly people and they make a great pizza that is delivered to your door! Just what you need after a rough day of traveling. This was our second stay and I’m sure we will be back again.

Stayed here several times traveling back and forth to the East coast. It is clean and easy access off the highway.

Great place to stay, very clean and beautiful area. The roads and sites are gravel so there is some dust and the mosquitos were very bad when we stayed however that is kind of to be expected. I will say the wifi was the best with great speeds. They are off of the highway so it is nice and quiet place. Will stay again!

Our previous stay was a year ago. It’s amazing the amount of upgrades since then to now. The service at this KOA is top notch and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back on our next trip through the area!

Just an overnite for us. Typical KOA that is great for overniters. Good level site that didn't require unhooking. Clean restrooms and nice dog areas. Not our 1st time here. We've stayed before on trips out west.

This campground is immaculate, both the grounds and the restrooms and showers. The staff is friendly and helpful also. The pool is crystal clear but can sometimes be a tad crowded. There are a myriad of for the kids to keep them busy. The sites are level and easy to maneuver. We camped in a 32’ trailer with our two grandchildren (ages 8 & 6) and had a great time!

Very nice, quite park with lots of amenities, including store, food, recreation. Sites are level and many have shade. Great water pressure too. Checking very friendly and helpful. Only downside is they need to spray the white chat (gravel) roadways daily if not more frequently which were VERY dusty.

This is one of the cleanest and most friendly KOA’s we’ve ever visited. The campground was spectacular and everyone we interacted with was great, we can’t wait to visit again!

Definitely stay at the KOA in West Des Moines. Nicest grass between sites we have ever experienced. Only reason for four stars this time is we were really hoping for pizza, so texted ahead and were told we could order. But front desk didn’t check texts after that, so we were disappointed on arrival. Sigh. No pizza. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was brief, we were just passing through. The park is beautiful, friendly and clean. The dog park was big enough for our dogs to get plenty of exercise. Although our stay was brief, it was very pleasant. We decided to stay again on our way back through and we were equally pleased the second time. I would recommend this KOA to anyone.

The staff were very helpful and the park was very well maintained. They had Hunt Brothers pizza for sale, which we enjoy. On Saturday morning they served pancakes with bacon and sausage. The laundry room was clean and all machines worked. The grass between sites was well mowed and trimmed. There was a good amount of room between sited. We would go out of our way to stay at this park again.

This is always our first stay of the camping season with the grandkids since there are plenty of activities to keep them busy. Des Moines West KOA is always clean, well kept, with friendly employees that make our stays more enjoyable. We had an extra request for them to mow our grassy area at our camp location and they sent someone right over to do it, now that is excellent service! Thank you!

The campground is well maintained and clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. For those with dogs, they have a very nice dog park.

Everything was fine except grass needed to be mowed. Long grass made it less enjoyable sitting around picnic table and camp fire.

Quiet and well maintained and staffed. Our fourth campground on our trip and the best yet. Showers are a bit cramped but are well maintained and designed.

Great park. Quiet and well maintained facilities, the staff is kind and helpful. Spots are nice, some are small but anything with the fancy patio will give you plenty of room.

Very clean and lot pull trough sites for larger units like ours 37t But also cabins 2 story cabins tents with ac for glamping 2 playgrounds heated pool mini golf jumping ped Dog place They deliver also pizza and wood to you site Great for staying with kids
