We rented the RV. The awning did not work, the water did not get warm, the gas grill grates were very rusted and we had a very strong sewer smell and they said the line needed to be flushed out. We did love the pool and jump pillow.

We stayed in KL11 cabin. The toilet tank ran 24/7 and kept us awake. The mattress we so dirty I could not belive it. We have never had issues until now with a KOA a d We have stayed in many.

The kids loved the pool and bouncy pad. The staff was very respondent when our cabin's air conditioning wasn't working and took care of it quickly.

We have stayed for many years for our reunion. Works well as some camp & some rent cabins. We have family come from IA, MN, PA & MO with babies to 90 year old. We love the pool & the jumping pillow! We were in KL4. Our granddaughter loved the loft. We will be back next year!

This was the last stop on our 9 days on motorcycles. The staff was really friendly, the location is great, and the pizza delivered to our cabin was super convenient. Will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

The accommodations were very nice and campground was well maintained. However, after traveling all day with children, it was disappointing to arrive at 6:30 and have everything (pool, activities, food orders, etc) close at 7:30 pm, especially on summer evening.

Our family loves it there. There is so much to do for kids and they have so much fun there. Everything is so well kept and the staff is so helpful and friendly. We will be back.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was clean and quiet. The view of the pond was amazing. The entire setting was peaceful. We ordered a delicious pizza from the camp store. Kenda, Lydia, Kyle, Carrie, Michelle, and the entire staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We are definitely staying here again.

Overall we had a great time in the rental camper. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, mini golf and a few other activities. It was great to have so many fun things to do. Our only complaint was that the camper was definitely different and smaller than what is pictured on the website and the description said that it had a coffee maker and to bring your own coffee, but didn't specify that it was a Keurig.

Unfortunately our time at Des Moines KOA was too short. We didn’t have enough time to experience all the KOA had to offer. We did get to check out the fishing pond and jump pillow and they were awesome. We stayed in a cozy cabin which was just a single room with a bunk bed and queen size bed. AC worked fantastic all night. Hope to come back and explore more!

Great campground. We took advantage of one of the cabins and loved it. Perfect size for 2 travelers. The pond for fishing and paddleboating was nice and they had some bikes to rent as well. The store had quite a bit for supplies and memorabilia. Theres also a laundry if needed.

We came in late to the campground and left early but it looked like like a very nice KOA and would definitely stay again. Nice atmosphere, quiet. The mattress could be replaced but other than that our cabin was great.

4 day 3 nights at the deluxe cabin with my grandchildren, was a very enjoyable and memorable time. There are so much for the children to do and the staff was very friendly and helpful.This Camp is very clean and well maintained. We will for sure be back again. West Des Moines, Adel Iowa KOA, is on the top of my list for best KOA Camp. Keep up the good work!!! See you all soon…

This KOA was like most, clean with nice bathrooms. We stay in the camping cabins, the elec only ones and most have parking right out front of each cabin, but Des Moines KOA layout is odd with parking in the rear of the cabin, so not right out your front door. Minor inconvenience and not much ownership can do. Curtains are too sheer and are completely see-thru at night with light on inside.

We booked the glamping tent with the understanding it would sleep 4. It was said to have a kind sized bed and two singles. It did not mention the two singles being cots. It also didn’t mention that when those cots were up, there was no way to move in the tent itself. This was not the ideal set up it advertised itself to be. In addition to the very cramped space, the musky smell was awful.

The staff here are amazing!! Super friendly and helpful and very accommodating!! They opened the pool up so my kids could swim, everything from our cabin to the public washroom was clean and welcoming!! We'll be back for sure!!

The campground was so easy to check in and check out. They were so convenient for a last minute stay. There were tons of amenity’s and the area is huge and not over crowded and was so quite and peaceful definitely will be my go to spot when I’m in the area again!

Probably the best KOA we've stayed at!! Food, store, pond, nice cabins, things for kids and the pool. We've traveled all over the U.S. and this place is one of our favorites!

Definitely worth the price! Lots of fun activities and the restrooms and showers are top notch. Very little tree coverage so no ticks but bring your own shade! The staff is amazing and food/supply delivery to your site is free! Lifetime lasting memories were made!

Great level, large pull through FHU site. Stayed one night, used laundry facility. Staff helpful. Quiet area, dog parks, playgrounds, a nice campground
