We came in late to the campground and left early but it looked like like a very nice KOA and would definitely stay again. Nice atmosphere, quiet. The mattress could be replaced but other than that our cabin was great.

4 day 3 nights at the deluxe cabin with my grandchildren, was a very enjoyable and memorable time. There are so much for the children to do and the staff was very friendly and helpful.This Camp is very clean and well maintained. We will for sure be back again. West Des Moines, Adel Iowa KOA, is on the top of my list for best KOA Camp. Keep up the good work!!! See you all soon…

This KOA was like most, clean with nice bathrooms. We stay in the camping cabins, the elec only ones and most have parking right out front of each cabin, but Des Moines KOA layout is odd with parking in the rear of the cabin, so not right out your front door. Minor inconvenience and not much ownership can do. Curtains are too sheer and are completely see-thru at night with light on inside.

We booked the glamping tent with the understanding it would sleep 4. It was said to have a kind sized bed and two singles. It did not mention the two singles being cots. It also didn’t mention that when those cots were up, there was no way to move in the tent itself. This was not the ideal set up it advertised itself to be. In addition to the very cramped space, the musky smell was awful.

It was beautiful. Lots to do for kids and dogs. Cabin was perfect for the fam. And the the store and pizza shop were a hit.

The staff here are amazing!! Super friendly and helpful and very accommodating!! They opened the pool up so my kids could swim, everything from our cabin to the public washroom was clean and welcoming!! We'll be back for sure!!

The campground was so easy to check in and check out. They were so convenient for a last minute stay. There were tons of amenity’s and the area is huge and not over crowded and was so quite and peaceful definitely will be my go to spot when I’m in the area again!

Probably the best KOA we've stayed at!! Food, store, pond, nice cabins, things for kids and the pool. We've traveled all over the U.S. and this place is one of our favorites!

This campground was great! We rented a cabin with loft which fit us all perfectly!!!! Plenty of activities for the kids!!!! If we’re back in the area we’d stay here again!!!!!

Only issue we had was the fridge/freezer didn’t work. We let the checkout guy know. Not a big deal since we didn’t have a bunch of food but just so it gets fixed for the next campers. Cabin was clean and perfect for what we needed. Will for sure stay there again. Thank you!

We had trouble with our camper on the way to Des Moines so ended up staying in a cabin. We were unaware that we needed sheets, blankets, towels, etc. but the manager at the campground graciously found these items for us. The cabin was clean and neat and had what we needed. There was a lot to enjoy there but the weather was too cold and windy.

Good location with no traffic noise. Cabin was good but needed a little more attention to cleaning, especially dishes. Lots of stray cats to feed.

I love the atmosphere, but the Wi-Fi was terrible I also could not get anything on the TV to work. The bed was very uncomfortable in the cabin for myself and my child. The bed sank into the middle. The people were great though! Very friendly workers and a cool place to stay at.

We were told that the main office would close for the season Nov 1 but closed 5 days earlier.Water main break, we had to boil water all week long.No updates on boil water status from KOA.Campers that came in didn't know they needed to boil water to drink.Hopefully no one got sick from the bacteria. Had to call Xenia Rural Water. I work in Public health all campers should have been told but weren't

We rented a 4-person cabin (KL12) and had a great time, however the queen bed is extremely uncomfortable/very saggy in the middle so I did not sleep well at all(I only weigh 132 and still sunk in). When you're paying to stay somewhere the bed should be high quality or change out the mattress sooner. We also found mouse poop in our cookware and the bathroom sink was constantly clogged.

Called ahead for booking. Was told the CC to be used for deposit. When arrived at 8pm, the total already been charged to the card. Unable to pay in another form of payment. Given a "map" of the facility. In the dark, found the cabin, but unable to find the showers, it not on the map. Room needed a good floor mopping. Too many flies. Toilet runs too long...

We rented one of the cabins by the pond. It was very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked i.e. paper towels, tp, dish soap, toiletries, hair dryer, k cups for the single cup coffee maker, microwave, dishes, hot plate, even an iron and ironing board. The wings and breakfast pizza delivered from the store were awesome. We will definitely return next year.

The cabin was really nice. They had a foam party for the kids and they loved it. Mini golf. Jumping basketball.. the jump pillow. Everyone was super nice. I love that you can put your trash out by the curb and they pick it up. They will also deliver ice, firewood and food to your site. We will be going back.

Quiet and well maintained and staffed. Our fourth campground on our trip and the best yet. Showers are a bit cramped but are well maintained and designed.

Great park. Quiet and well maintained facilities, the staff is kind and helpful. Spots are nice, some are small but anything with the fancy patio will give you plenty of room.

Very clean and lot pull trough sites for larger units like ours 37t But also cabins 2 story cabins tents with ac for glamping 2 playgrounds heated pool mini golf jumping ped Dog place They deliver also pizza and wood to you site Great for staying with kids
