All of the employees were very friendly and congenial. The facility was very clean and maintained. In our experience with KOAs, this one was the best we have visited.

We had the best time during our weekend at the Des Moines West KOA. There were so many fun things to do and everyone on the campground was so friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back very soon!

Excellent stay from the welcome to our camp ground office check in to our Check out and safe travels goodbye. Friendly and very accommodating staff. Well kept, level RV sites. Clean and refreshing swimming pool. The pizza was exceptional. We even had live music one night. Would for sure recommend to anyone traveling on I80 to stop!

We stayed here to be close to Raccoon Valley River Trail, which was about 6 miles away. Friendly staff and clean campground. Liked having pizza delivery option right to our camper one night. Only improvement would have been to have shade, which was almost non existent in the campground.

Very clean and beautiful. Fun activities.

the stay was great except for the people and kids cutting through our site

My only complaint would be the lack of remote restroom facilities for the people at the back and additional side section of the park as it’s a decent sized park and a long walk to the restrooms.

Very clean and spacious sites. Friendly staff. Could use better noise enforcement, ie: kids on the playground well after dark. But otherwise, a great campground.

The cabin worked great for our stay. We loved the recreation options. The kids said they want to go back again next year. The cabin was clean, the AC worked well and there was plenty of hot water!

Pond was covered with moss; didn't see anyone catch any fish although they tried. Staff was great!!! Lawn well maintained. Roads are gravel meaning lots of dust as campers were always coming and going. Busy place!! Location, while near I80 was a distance from any type of touristing. Most things touristy we'd seen on previous trips to the area. We probably won't be back.

We have never been to such a clean and well maintained campground! We really appreciate all of the hard work of the staff to keep this place beautiful. We stayed in a deluxe cabin with a 1/2 bath and it truly had everything we needed and more. Our little family had a blast and enjoyed all of the recreation too. Don’t hesitate to book here, just do it! Thanks for the relaxing and CLEAN stay!

Our first stay at a KOA. Very impressed with the cleanliness, variety of activities for kids and how the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved having fresh, hot pizza delivered to our site (very good pizza). Value for money.

Very friendly and helpful roads are wide easy to navigate in and out, sites were very large delivered pizza was great

Very friendly staff. LOT of amenities, esp. for families. EXTREMELY DUSTY! All roads and parking spaces are gravel and need to be watered down to reduce the dust. Staff needs to encourage parents to closely monitor children who run across roads without looking, chasing swim toys, balls and pets and also through occupied sites. We have not experienced the runaway kids at other KOAs.

Super clean & staff was very welcoming! Loved it & would definitely return when in the area!

We loved our deluxe cabin and all the amenities! Staff in the shop was super friendly. The cabin could use a good deep cleaning, seemed like maybe it's never had one but rather just very quick cleans between guests. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Nicely landscaped, clean, quiet park. Looks like it had lots of things to do if you are traveling with kids.

First time staying at a KOA and we loved the experience. Very well kept and informative. Tons of activities and things to do. We will be back!

The campsite is a beautiful large camping areas however the rules need to be enforced. People need to keep their dogs on leashes, not walk them on other peoples campsites, and not use other peoples campsites, for Cutthrough’s. The office hosts were friendly and very helpful . It is very nice KOA . I would stay there again !

The KOA had everything, however the roads to the sites were dirt, which created a ton of dust. So, when you our enjoying the site and sitting out side every time a vehicle, even a golf cart, went by the dust was horrendous as it blew thru your site.

cabins were clean and comfortable. However, we were surprises that the 2 cabins booked weren't together and the outside space was limited and very close to other cabins. The staff was friendly and the campground text system was great.

In the winter it was cold, but traveling with dogs thisnis much more convenient than a hotel.

We have stayed here many times and love this place. The green grass, large sites with patios and beautiful pond are always welcome after a long days drive. Another bonus is my husband always orders pizza so I don't have to cook.

We stayed here overnight while traveling across Nebraska. The campground is located about 1.5 miles north of I-80, so most of the road noise you get comes from the road in front of the campground rather than the interstate. Note that you will drive past the southern section of sites to get to the entrance, but don't make the right turn until you come to the KOA sign that marks the location of the office (you'll also see the propane refill tank on the corner). The office door is on the east side of the building, and if you arrive after hours, the overnight reservation box is located just inside the door of the laundry room (rather than being mounted on the exterior of the building). With the exception of a few back-in sites in the southern section, all of the sites are pull-throughs, and every site (back-in and pull-through) has full hookups with gravel pads and grass lawns. The middle row of sites in the northern section are buddy sites with a single extra-wide pad and a set of hookups in the middle of a pad. All non-patio sites have a picnic table, while deluxe patio sites have a concrete patio with two round tables, a fire pit, a grill, and several adirondack chairs. We were in site 62, a regular pull-through site with a pad that was almost as wide as a buddy site and was more than long enough for our 37-foot fifth-wheel and 21-foot truck. The site had no shade tree (most sites do not) but was very level side-to-side. The campground has the usual KOA amenities: a convenience/souvenir store, bathrooms, a laundry room, a pool, a large playground, a jump pad, a mini-golf course, and some lawn games. It also has a Hunt Brothers pizza kitchen, pedal go-carts, a regular basketball hoop, an enclosed play area for some sort of basketball-based game, a "water war" game of some kind, and a stocked fishing lake with two paddle boats. The large dog park is located in the grassy valley between the north and south sections of the park. It's divided into two sections that share a single airlock-style entrance. There is plenty of grass in that valley to walk your dog if both halves of the dog park are occupied, and there's also a walking trail along the fishing lake. In terms of cell service, the best speed I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 25 Mbps down and 24 up, and we had no trouble streaming video. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was 302 Mbps down and 20 up.
