Friendly staff, great site, couldn’t ask for a nicer campground after a long day of driving, nice pool to relax in….nice stay, will be back again this year

This is a nice campground. I just can't get past $100 a night for a strip of gravel in the Midwest! For less money, I wouldn't complain about small things, but they seem unreasonable at this price. The thin layer of gravel with dirt showing through splatters mud all over your RV when it rains. The quiet hours are not enforced. The neighbor's fire pit was almost under my slide.

Nice and clean, good service and friendly staff. Only a couple of issues- mowing at 8 am woke us up and having no ice was a big deal and really inexcusable, had to drive to Desoto just to get ice.

Stayed a couple of nights at the KOA Des Moines and it was fantastic, the staff all very helpful and kind and superb facilities. I even planted a tree with my wife!! Thank you Teresa an Nikki!!

I like using KOA as a fall back when I can’t find a cheaper place. You always know what you’ll get. I wish your prices were lower.

We stayed for one night. Since we stumbled upon this campground in 2019, it has been one of my favorite stops. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, the sites are nice, and it is a very well maintained campground. They add something each year, such as more playground equipment, additional sites, mini golf, etc. I look forward to staying here during future trips.

The staff was Wonderful they go above and beyond (Kay is great ) the place is well kept up. They have things for the kids to do my grandchildren had a great time there. I would and will stay there next time we visit Iowa.

Super friendly and helpful staff lots to do loads of fun only complaint we have is the fact that the electric tent sights say is in a level grass pad and really it's on pea gravel. I wish I would have known this so I could have purchased an air mattress as the gravel was worse than grass to sleep on.

Our group of 14 (age 4 years- 72 years) stayed in 4 of the deluxe cabins. A GREAT weekend! Activities for everyone! Even though it was very hot, we stayed cool with the pool, water balloons and the a/c in the cabins and the pavilion activities. The pizza made on-site was great! Also appreciated having gas grills at each cabin. We all want to stay again sometime!!

We camped with a group of friends and had good time. Only issue we had was the 14 year old employee bullying my kids and saying inappropriate jokes about me and driving way too fast on the golf cart. Other than that we had a good time camping.

Campground was fun and a great place to spend the 4th of July weekend. Lots of kid activities and plenty for the grands to do. We were disappointed with the site we were put into, however. There was little to no grassy area, and a large part of what was supposed to be our space was rocks/gravel from the road. We were on the end of a dead end row and tons of people cut through our space every day.

Other than the pool closure (not a KOA issue) it was great. I would like to see a little more attention to the pond for fishing accessibility especially for little kids.

Our family loves Des Moines West Koa. The activities for the kids are great. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have kids.

Hands down, the best KOA we’ve been to! The camp was amazing and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful! You can tell the amount of pride that goes into everyone’s work!

One of the best KOAs we've stayed at. Facilities were clean, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating, and the attractions at the campground were fun for the entire family. The only issue I had was the dusty roads and campsite pads. The gravel roads and pads is synonymous with KOAs. Everything at our site was covered in dust. We were also near the entrance which didn't help.

Lovely place! A kids' paradise, our grandkids would have loved it. Clean, friendly, quiet, and close to Adel and Urbandale. Enjoyed both our stays very much.

The road dust was awful. Had a clean coach before we arrived. The staff was great! Absolutely loved the green space between the sites. Kudos to the camp volunteer who spent time trying to start our campfire with a blow torch. Wood would not light.

Very nice and clean camp ground. Our site was leveled really well, so we didn’t have unhook our car from camper. Pizza and wings were really good!

It was a great place to stay! The K9 areas were so much better than most campgrounds. All employees were so friendly & anxious to help us with questions. The office was full of good items & the food was available. We didn't order any but what I saw looked fantastic. We loved the campground & hope to be back again!

Everyone was very accommodating, and we love the golf course and jumping pillow. The kids loved the playground as well, and I thought the ice and firewood delivery was super convenient. Thank you!

Clean showers but kind of scary at night because the door does not lock since theres several stalls.
