50 Years in Business Celebrated!

(August 4, 2024)  Guests enjoyed festivities that celebrated 50 years in business where the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday has been making family memories in Michigan's Great Southwest.

The weekend started off with a gathering of local dignitaries and members of the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber of Commerce who joined with Mark & Karla Lemoine, Owners of the campground, to honor Ginter & Ursula Bansen, who were the first owners of the campground and operated it from 1974-2016.  This significant accomplishment is noteworthy in that over 80% of small business fail within 20 years.

The festivities continued into Saturday with a special performance by the popular, local jug band Deep Fried Pickle Project along with  a free hot dog cook out for guests and a "Lucky Ducky Derby" where over $2,000 was raised for Care Camps Foundation.

Finally, the weekend ended with a special Sunday morning service where Mark shared a testimony of faith and perseverance he and Karla experienced during the past eight years.  Praising God for blessing their efforts, and thanking several staff who were an instrumental park of the work, the Lemoines expressed confidence that the campground is stronger than ever, and ready to serve guests for another 50 years.
