(June 8, 2024) Government-run State parks are great as they command large tracks of land. But when it comes to camping, their RV sites are often not well kept, offer only electric connections and there are few if any amenities beyond the natural environment. Furthermore, other than the ranger you see at check-in, you rarely see another state park employee which isn’t very helpful when you need something or you have neighbors that get a little rowdy, not to mention the long line at the dump station at end your stay before you hit the road.
We’ve all heard the saying, “You get what you pay for.” With that in mind, did you know that for as little as $30.00 more per day over the cost of a state park camping experience*, you can enjoy the KOA difference?
At the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday, that means in addition to the electric connection at your site, our Value sites also offer you a water connection in a nicely landscaped, well-maintained outdoor setting with paved roads and mature trees. If you want, you can upgrade your site experience with full hook-up sewer connections, patios, deluxe patios, pull thru sites and even Paw Pens for your four-legged companion. You can also enjoy tenting or stay in one of our cabins, deluxe cabins or Rustic-Chic Glamping tents.
No matter how you stay with us, all of our guests will find clean and modern restrooms, high-speed Internet, text-messaging concierge communication with the Front desk, and a well-stocked General Store and Café complete with espresso lattes in the morning, breakfast sandwiches, fresh baked donuts, delicious Hunt Brothers pizza and wings, local craft beer & wine, and southwest Michigan’s favorite sweet treat, Sherman’s hand-dipped ice cream. We even sell high-quality hardwood kiln-dried firewood that we will deliver right to your site, and we even pick up your trash bags throughout the day so you can just focus on building memories with your family and friends.
In addition to our amenities, we have staff-led activities throughout the day and you’ll get to enjoy our in-ground heated pool, playground, jumping pillow, Gem Mining sluice, fun bike rentals, mini-golf, Family Fun Zone, wooded nature trail, Club House and more.
Lastly, from the time you arrive and throughout your stay, our KOA franchise small-business owners, Mark & Karla Lemoine, our Operation Managers, Richard & Jennifer Burlingham, and all of our friendly and helpful team members treat you as if we have welcomed you into our home, work hard to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere, and are available to assist you with the highest level of hospitality to ensure you have an exceptional experience.
It’s true, you can save a few dollars by going somewhere else. But you work hard for your money, and we believe you and your family and friends deserve only the best.
So the question is… with everything that you can get here, why would you want to spend your outdoor recreational time anywhere else?
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
