This was our second stay and it was once again a wonderful place to camp. Exceptionally clean bathrooms! We will certainly be back again next year!

Pretty nice place - like the short cut out of the park. quite at night and other then the light on the power boxes low light to see the night sky. had to cover the light so it was not shinning into the bedroom.

Our stay was was not the best. I disappointed in the condition of our cabin. To start off i couldn’t use our shower because of the freezing cold water. I am disabled, hygiene is very important to me. The entire stay the HVAC system was not operating properly. It was 86F degrees me and my boyfriend were so hot. Even opening the windows did not help. Some of the propane grill burners did not work.

The Chautauqua Lake KOA has been a favorite for several years now. The staff is always very pleasant and accommodating. This year, however, we noticed a few problems. The grass at our site was very long. The sites around us that were cut had rows of grass clippings that would have been all over shoes so I'm (almost) thankful our grass wasn't cut. Water pressure and WiFi were problems as well.

What a great campground! The staff was friendly. Seasonal campers were welcoming. Before even pulling out of the campground we decided to return to this amazing campground next season. Would highly recommend!

I would give 5 stars if there was live music at least on a holiday weekend. Also could use additional parking for smaller sites that only fit one vehicle.

Everything was wonderful! One suggestion I would make is to move your sign for golf carts saying "carts go over here" to the right side. I was driving through the gate to go to the office in a golf cart and the gate came down on my head. The worker that saw it happen said it happens a lot. It's hard to see the sign and when you're driving on the right you don't really look on the left for signs.

We enjoyed our buddy sites..spacious and fire pit was a safe distance from campers..staff is very friendly & helpful. Many amenities and activities at campground plus is centrally located to nearby villages.

My only complaint about campground was at 930pm every night during our stay a bunch of golf carts with loud music and beep in horns would go around. When you get little ones asleep and that wakes them up every night it isn’t fun. Also teenagers were disruptive and loud at bath house, beating on walls and dumpsters, yelling , that was also at night.

The overall stay was ok, but having to meander through the permanent camp sites was very uncomfortable. This did not show up on the web site. Needless to say, we were unhappy about this situation.

We had an improved site which was great. The only complaint is that larger rigs can't exit without making ruts in the grass. While this doesn't affect the sites overall, it does lessen the exr Tra cost.

Our stay was awesome. The grounds are clean and neat, as is the bathrooms/shower house (not that we used due to having our RV) The view in our area was really nice (Row U#6) and the grounds keeper/Mgr., Mr. Anthony, was especially accommodating and pleasant to speak with. I would def. go back there in the future!!

I have been to over 50 Koa’s in the last 5yrs, this fellow campers is the best I’ve ever stayed at. Lots of things to do and activities for everyone, the facility is very well kept, and beautiful views from camp. Above all the staff was over the top friendly and so knowledgeable about the area and all it has to offer. Top notch A+.

Just wish the weather was better to enjoy the amenities

Seasonal renters have taken over the campground, and they clearly hate dogs. We were told of numerous complaints (all day-time) about our dogs barking when golf carts would pass. Our dogs were in a fenced area and never left unattended, but the campground insinuated we were leaving them unattended. We ended up leaving two days early and asked for a refund, but the campground has yet to respond.

We had a fantastic stay at the Chautauqua KOA! The campground was exceptionally clean, the facilities were well maintained, and every employee we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful. It was truly one of the best customer experiences we’ve had at a campground. We were blown away and will absolutely be back!

Everything was fantastic. People were very friendly, great welcome packet. Clean and safe. The only negative comment is that in 3 days of camping, the paper towels were out in one bathroom, always, even though ir was cleaned twice a day.

Easy check in,Very nice staff in office. Was escorted to our site. Really nice patio site easily accommodated my 42 ft motorhome. When visiting the area I would definitely return!

Always a fun time. Susan and Anthony are great hosts and staff are friendly and helpful. My wife and I thought the pool was a little cool but our granddaughters said it was fine and spent hours playing in the it with new friends.

We loved staying in our pop up camper in the wooded tent area. It was much more secluded than the regular RV sites. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and bouncing on the inflatable. The only suggestion we have is to update the bathrooms near the tent camping area. It was very clean, but there are obvious signs of water damage and mold.

We came by to check out future campsites and the campground was already closed, but we talked to a man named Anthony that was extremely helpful and informative, and not only did he take his personal time, but actually took my wife and I on a golf cart tour, knowing we drove over an hour to come there. I wish more people were like this kind man, which makes me want to camp there even more so. Thanks Anthony, we really appreciate it! Dave and Kathy

Update: We have stayed here almost every Labor Day weekend since our initial visit. This last time in 2026 we stayed in the Eagles Nest 3 bedroom cabin. Overall we were very happy and will be going back every year. Now that I have grandkids I just wish there were a few more activities for the younger kids during holiday weekends. We were here over Labor Day weekend (Fri-Mon). We stayed in L02 the cabin with no bathroom. We were very pleasantly surprised by the cabin it was very spacious and probably the best "basic" cabin we've stayed in at any KOA (we've been to quite a few). It had heat/AC, cable TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. My minor complaints about the cabin were: the heat didn't work very well it took awhile for it to actually heat up (it was chilly at night), one window facing a glamping tent was missing a blind (but thankfully we didn't have neighbors), the bed was kinda hard to get out of without killing your thighs on the wood framed box and last I wish it had a Keurig instead of the old school coffee maker (I brought my own so wasn't a huge deal). This cabin is literally right next to the bathroom and shared kitchen space. I really loved the shared kitchen and wish more KOA's did this. There was a sink for dishes and two separate 4 burner cook tops in a nice screened in area with electricity. My one complaint about it was it had a really off putting smell which I'm guessing was either the trash in there or someone put something gross down the drains. The bathrooms were a little disappointing. They were pretty small with a toilet & shower in each. The shower didn't have a curtain so everything got soaked when you showered. The hot water was good however. It seemed they only cleaned them once a day and they were kinda dirty, but again not the worst I've seen and not really the fault of the KOA. The staff was super friendly and overall we really really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back soon. The area is beautiful and it's definitely a "lake town" setting.
