First and foremost, Susan and Anthony were fantastic. They did so much to make it feel like home. The campsite was so so very clean and the team they had had kept everything looking great. They had lots of activity to do for all ages. We are gonna miss Susan and Anthony

Had a great time lawns could use some improvement and flowers, beds, washers and dryers in middle bathrooms. Need to be updated and would like if management stayed on more than a couple of years so they can complete the things that they set out to do.

The location for this KOA is perfect. We stayed in the newer section of the campground. Site was level, view was great. The old section of the park needs to have RVs older than ten years removed, the entire park needs ground maintenance. Weeds, etc. I’m surprised KOA allows this park to remain in the KOA family.

We’re seasonals, however, we’ve seen a bit of a decline in the appearance and care of the campground. Also any extras are constantly being charged for. Seems everything is geared toward weekenders and short term campers. Also, planning and times often don’t work for the seasonals who aren’t retired and still work

Susan and Anthony had a great Halloween party! Fun for all ages. The park was hopping! Susan and Anthony will be missed as park hosts but we wish them the best! This was our last camp out of the season. Can’t wait for May to start 2027 camping season at Chautauqua Lake KOA!

Susan and Anthony are the most wonderful people. Susan check in and so very helpful. Anthony land scape- the grounds were just beautiful, but he helped me get settled into my cabin. Very kind and friendly. The cabin was immaculate, well stocked and quite comfortable.

The house was dusty. Not visibly, but i'm allergic and woke up during the night and had a swollen throat in the morning. Then I looked and saw dust bunnies under chairs. I did appreciate the sofa bed mattress that was hard enough to support my back. That helped a lot. It was quiet and provided the kitchen we needed. Someone responded immediately upon an inquiry. Staff friendly.

We only stayed one night. Wish we had more time! I did pay for a deluxe patio with lake view. There wasn't a lake view at all...there are permanent park models in the way. So, don't fall for the " lake view". Otherwise, yhe place was nice and staff extremely friendly!

Even though it was a fall stay the campground was pretty busy. Lots to do in the surrounding towns if that’s your thing even though it was shoulder season.

Campground was decent just a lot of permanent sites and they need to have either garbage pick up at sites or a dumpster at the back of the campground.

Aside from the pelting rain that hit during the night, we had a very pleasant stay. We especially enjoyed the friendly greetings and support during our stay. We were impressed with the wooded site that we had for tent camping and the large variety of resources available that allowed wide choices for how to spend time at this KOA. We especially enjoyed the sunset over the lake.

We came by to check out future campsites and the campground was already closed, but we talked to a man named Anthony that was extremely helpful and informative, and not only did he take his personal time, but actually took my wife and I on a golf cart tour, knowing we drove over an hour to come there. I wish more people were like this kind man, which makes me want to camp there even more so. Thanks Anthony, we really appreciate it! Dave and Kathy

Update: We have stayed here almost every Labor Day weekend since our initial visit. This last time in 2026 we stayed in the Eagles Nest 3 bedroom cabin. Overall we were very happy and will be going back every year. Now that I have grandkids I just wish there were a few more activities for the younger kids during holiday weekends. We were here over Labor Day weekend (Fri-Mon). We stayed in L02 the cabin with no bathroom. We were very pleasantly surprised by the cabin it was very spacious and probably the best "basic" cabin we've stayed in at any KOA (we've been to quite a few). It had heat/AC, cable TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. My minor complaints about the cabin were: the heat didn't work very well it took awhile for it to actually heat up (it was chilly at night), one window facing a glamping tent was missing a blind (but thankfully we didn't have neighbors), the bed was kinda hard to get out of without killing your thighs on the wood framed box and last I wish it had a Keurig instead of the old school coffee maker (I brought my own so wasn't a huge deal). This cabin is literally right next to the bathroom and shared kitchen space. I really loved the shared kitchen and wish more KOA's did this. There was a sink for dishes and two separate 4 burner cook tops in a nice screened in area with electricity. My one complaint about it was it had a really off putting smell which I'm guessing was either the trash in there or someone put something gross down the drains. The bathrooms were a little disappointing. They were pretty small with a toilet & shower in each. The shower didn't have a curtain so everything got soaked when you showered. The hot water was good however. It seemed they only cleaned them once a day and they were kinda dirty, but again not the worst I've seen and not really the fault of the KOA. The staff was super friendly and overall we really really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back soon. The area is beautiful and it's definitely a "lake town" setting.
