This was our 6th stay at Cardinal KOA. Even though our boys are now 14 and 12 and they have outgrown a few things, there was lots for them to do. Friendly staff, clean comfortable cabin and lots of fun. Would highly recommend.

During our stay, people are disobeying the rules which cause issues for our kids and other children on site. For example, kids are going on the jumping pillow directly from the pool and they do this on multiple occasions. This causes the surface of the jumping pillow to be very slick and kids are slipping and hurting themselves which includes my daughter who hurt her ankle. Email has Ben sent.

We love this place! But the mosquitos were so bad we couldn’t enjoy a campfire or any outdoor activities at night. We bought wood we didn’t get to use, and spent our last night with tons of baby mosquitos on our bed and all over our windows. Please spray for mosquitos or fix areas that attract them. (We were in K13) Other than that, it was great.

My friend and her grandson and I stayed at cardinal KOA in a deluxe cabin. We loved the activities for the kids that were scheduled (foam pit, ice cream social, crafts, movie night) and those that were unscheduled (mini putt, swimming, climbing playground). We loved our time and our accommodations! Perfect getaway!

It was a great stay. We were very happy with the cabin and the park. So happy the gigantic waterslide was running this year. That was fun. There really should be a tall latch or lock on the circuit breaker cabinet inside the kids bedroom. That is not safe for them to have easy access to it.

We were upset not to have our request granted for a cabin on a shady site, since we don’t fare well in the heat. We got cabin K06, the ONLY one without shade trees so it is blazing hot from noon until evening. We have been camping there for years and felt we booked far enough ahead (January) for the weekend of July 8. Why do you ask for special requests if you don’t honour them?

We love this KOA, however have noticed a decline in the past two summers in certain areas. The inflatable slide and foam party are fun, but very dirty. And there was total lack of enforcement around the bike rentals - there was no staff outside coordinating the rentals with the front desk, so it was a free-for-all outside. We paid $17 for 30 mins rentals while others just took the bikes. Boo!

Fantastic! It was so busy, yet the activities were accessible and well run and we all had a great time. I would highly recommend adding a second pool when/if possible!

First time going, was recommended by a friend. We brought our kids (9 & 12) and they had a blast!! I was very impressed with the amount of fun activities on the weekend, from the foam party to the giant slide, and ice cream social. All the activities were all in close proximity to our cabin. We booked the rustic cabin with no toilet, it was great having ac and a mini fridge. We will be back!

The lack of onsite food options was a bit frustrating, compared to other KOA's we have stayed at, but it just required some better planning on our part. We checked out the pizza place but they were not at all affordable. Having a BBQ made up for these in many ways.

This was our first stay at a KOA and we loved it, will definitely go again! Only comments or feedback that we have is that the pool was really cold even though it is supposed to be heated (we heard other families say this as well) and it would have been handy to have a baby swing at the back park!

Our stay was great. From checking in to checking out. The cabin was very clean and we liked how the bedding fit all beds were in separate bags. We will definitely stay at any KOA. Thanks.

Loved KOA Cardinal! We stayed for baseball tournament and our cabin was spacious, clean & well stocked. Kids kept busy at pool & mini putt - great staff! A+++

Family stay in a cabin for a weekend in June. Enjoyed the entire stay! Easy check in, lots to do for the kids whether it be splash pad, pool, mining for gold! golf, playgrounds, cool bikes to ride around, and arts and crafts. Endless things to do here. Friendly staff too and very quick to drop off firewood or answer any questions. Also won the 50/50! Good times!

We checked in on the Friday and there was a party next door until 2am. I think the grounds should be patrolled more often, especially at 11pm, when the noise is suppose to stop. I’m not sure if there were any more complaints, but there were 40-50 people at that party. Also, I think they should bring back the water fight, the bingo and games for adults too.

We had a wonderful time camping with our grandson. We rented the deluxe cabin it was beautifully laid out, very clean and organized and it had everything we needed supplied, unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate for us to use the pool but we played all day on the playground equipment with our family, the big bouncer was a favourite. I’m sure we will be back again!

Our stay was great... the cabin was a bit untidy when we arrived, but a little sweep, did the job. When we arrived, our host, Asher - was amazing. She was extremely helpful with explaining how things worked, as well as the upcoming events for the weekend. She answered all our questions and went above and beyond to explain how things worked..... we even had a great time playing Mini Golf.

Great weekend. We stayed in a lodge. Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working the first night but we let them know the next morning and someone came out to fix it right away. Great amenities for our young kids. Splash pad wasn’t working, but climber, pool and jumping pillow kept the kids busy for hours.

A small camp that is quiet and has everything you need. The place is clean and well kept. Lots are a bit small and there is little shrub work to provide privacy. As first timers we had a bit of trouble setting up camp but Tan and Shane had us up and running in no time. Very accommodating and professional. Wifi is a bit sketchy on weekends however you could feasibly work from here otherwise

Spur of the moment trip and it did not disappoint! Lots of great activities for our kids! We stayed in one of the lodges and were shocked by how many things were offered. It was extremely clean and well kept! We will definitely be back

Stayed in one of the cabins. Given that the price (225$ per night + taxes) is extremely high (equivalent to the price you'd pay for a very good hotel room in downtown Montreal, Québec or even Toronto), I find it hard to hard to understand why a shower is not included in the amenities provided.

This was our first stay under the new ownership. All of the amenities remain the same though there seemed to be a bit of confusion and delay sometimes with orders, (wood for example, waited almost an hour for delivery and had to go ask again for it). The main staff though, Tan and his brother, are extremely friendly and polite and quick to aid with any inquires or concerns. It'll get better.

Lovely weekend in one of the lodges. Some things need to be repaired and we informed the owner. Not as many activities as in previous years but it is new owners and they need to settle in and develop their own routine. All in all a good weekend.

We've been going for the Thanksgiving weekend for 4 years in a row. We appreciate the Halloween theme and the activities. We enjoyed the 2022 edition even if there was less emphasis put on the haunted house activity. Cardinal/Ottawa South is conveniently located and a well-managed/maintained property.

Stayed in a Deluxe Cabin (Full Bath with Shower), Patio Kottage. Super CLEAN; very impressed with level of care taken to ensure all conveniences e.g. extra towel bars, soap, bbq propane, and hooks. Keurig machine, tons of towels, clean pillows/sheets, comfortable beds. Enjoyable activity schedule and facilities. Wifi throughout campground. Staff super helpful and friendly. A+++

This is one of the best campgrounds that we've visited. The sites are large and shaded under mature pine trees. The playgrounds have a variety of play structures and games (e.g. jumping pads, mini-putt, gaga pit, go-cart). There are many activities for family everyday and every evening (e.g. fireworks, VR game). The outdoor pool is clean and heated so it can be enjoyed at any time of the season. The staffs are very friendly and approachable. The campground is well maintained and is only 45 minutes South of Ottawa. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it to any family.

This was our final stop before crossing into the US, after a long drive from Sturgeon Falls we were given a warm welcome and guided to our site. The facilities were functional and clean. The amenities were spot on. 10/10 would stay here again!
