Very friendly employees working. Was very easy to change accommodations for our second night as it was too cold to tent sleep with my children. We changed to a wilderness cabin and it was perfect for our family. The kids loved the bunk beds and that they could watch a movie as they fell asleep. Would definitely come back and recommend to others this campground.

Our Lodge had some faulty/broken items. Tv wasn't mounted to the wall. We had a replacement TV sitting on the shelf. Our BBQ provided did not work at all.

I'm not much of a trip planner so when my coworker suggested KOA as a place to take my 4-year-old, I thought it sounded perfect. It didn't disappoint! I booked a cabin with a washroom and bathtub, which seemed like a key ingredient for camping with a young child. But after that, there really wasn't much else to prep. Everything I needed was on site! Super kid friendly and felt very safe and clean.

Great place to stop with kids. So much for them to do. Planned activities everyday. Playground Wonderland. The 4 wheel bikes are really fun. They even have a Family Bike for 4 people. The cabins were clean and well thought out. Three of the four walls had a row of double hooks for hats, coats, bags etc. Friendly staff. Located midway between Ottawa & 1000 Islands.

Very nice campground and amenities. Serivce makes the difference and you certainlty did offer Service with a smile. We were a group of 30+ in 10 of the cabins and they were very comfortable and had all that we needed. Suggest to double up on mattresses for the Bunk beds to make them more comfortable; they are ok for little kids but not so much for adults.

The site is so clean and well kept. The activities for the kids are amazing. The cabin we stayed in was so lovely and everything we needed. We did find though that the communication could be improved. We asked about laundry and were told $2 per load for both washer and dryer but the machines said $3, and they actually took $2.50. Also, cabins were hoarding and hiding dino bikes without paying.

A first time family cabin camping experience. CARDINAL South was very clean, lots of activities, and excellent property maintenance. Unfortunately their property gets very swampy with any rain, but is beyond their control. We had a great stay!

Wifi inexistant dans les cabines au fond du camping. Wifi Cardinal 2. Jamais fonctionné en 4 jours. Il faudrait investir car beaucoup de terrains sont inondés. Certains ne pourraient même pas être loués. Dommage. Camping et cabines très propres. Belles activités pour les enfants.

All good. Would have liked AC/heating instructions. Bunk beds mattresses were VERY thin, and a small reading light at each bunk would be great. Bedding was good. Nice and clean. No dishwasher and write up said there was. Needed more than one dish towel and cloth. Where do you put the clean washed dishes. A couple more medium sized bowls would be helpful. Enjoyed the cabin and was comfortable.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend, Cardinal KOA is always a highlight of our summer and we loved dino weekend! The activities, amenities and staff were great. First time in a camping cabin, which worked out perfectly for us. One suggestion I have is to add hooks on the porch to hang towels/bathing suits, etc. Thanks again, we will be back next year!

Hello, we stayed at KOA Cardinal in Ontario Canada 13-15 August. We stayed in a Deluxe cabin. The temperature during our stay was very hot and the air conditioner didn't work. My family of 5 didn't sleep the entire first night. We were so exhausted and it completely ruined our experience. We reported the next day and maintenance came and worked on it to get it running but it didn't cool the cabin

So many fun activities for kids. Pool was a bit too chilly this year. Dog park needs Reno’s. The gates didn’t latch� extra staff for chip wagon would be great. Waited 25 mins for fries

-The property needs drainage- it was a giant puddle. -The pool feels like ice and need more heat -The mattress in my Cabin has seen better day -The bathroom countertops are particle board that are constantly exposed to water and it look disgusting -Rugs in cabin- dirty I liked the food trucks

We were impressed with the cleanliness of the KOA, the helpful owners when our cabin heater did not work, and the variety of well-organised activities for our 8 year old grandson. The cabin was small but comfortable with a/c, heat and shower. Prices for activities and supplies from the store were reasonable. A good time was had by all!

We have been 4 years in a row. This year they had to fix the pool. Instead of getting a load of water they spent all day with a garden hose. The pool was freezing and they didn't keep the heater full of wood to heat the pool.

We were impressed with how clean and comfortable the cabin was. It was equipped with pretty well everything we needed. Since visitors are told to eat outside, it would be handy to have a tray provided for moving the food and dishes. Our only real complain was the lack of internet services. We could log in to your network, but then we could not even get email. Even data on phone service was poor

Very welcoming. Very clean. The kids really enjoyed the pool, all play structures and activities. The pizza was excellent. Everything available on site, from propane tank, dryer & washer, food, lodging of all kinds. I highly recommend it if you have kids from newborn to 13 years old. Family oriented camping. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for an excellent summer vacation!

Very unpleasant stay, the staff was not welcoming and acted unprofessionally, they seem to have been policing the children visiting in an aggressive manner- Seasonal campers were not welcoming to visitors of the campground - Weird activity in the evening hours including a biker gang and then the activity of police. This is clearly not a family-friendly campground.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There are rules in place to keep EVERYONE on the campground safe and happy. There was no biker gang, they were simply a group of motorcyclists visiting a family. The police were called to assist in enforcing rules to intoxicated campers at night. We pride ourselves on having kind staff.

We had a fantastic time! The cabins are wonderful and it was a great place to spend time with a group of friends and their families. The kids are always so happy to be here! One suggestion is that the pool could use a little refreshing. We will be back!

Customer service speak only english, no french speaking in CANADA. Also in the activity hayride, the driver ´´refuse » to get another ride cause there wasant too much interets. Me and my kids we ve been waiting 30 min for our tour and cause we were 3 people left he didnt want to do it

Great stay. So many activities for the kids. Most notably, it is CLEAN. So so clean. Someone must go around and sweep away cob webs from the chairs, benches, play structures, etc. Amazing!

Absolutely loved our stay! The kids activities were the perfect way to break up our day and so fun! The pool and splash pad area were always clean and tidy. Our cabin was great and well stocked with linens. Would definitely stay again. The staff were all super helpful, and very friendly. Thank you for a great stay!

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the Cardinal KOA campground. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the big bouncers, pool, splash pad, gem mining, and inflatable water slide. We made many great memories in our cozy cabin and are eager to plan a return trip next summer. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable family getaway!

This is one of the best campgrounds that we've visited. The sites are large and shaded under mature pine trees. The playgrounds have a variety of play structures and games (e.g. jumping pads, mini-putt, gaga pit, go-cart). There are many activities for family everyday and every evening (e.g. fireworks, VR game). The outdoor pool is clean and heated so it can be enjoyed at any time of the season. The staffs are very friendly and approachable. The campground is well maintained and is only 45 minutes South of Ottawa. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it to any family.

This was our final stop before crossing into the US, after a long drive from Sturgeon Falls we were given a warm welcome and guided to our site. The facilities were functional and clean. The amenities were spot on. 10/10 would stay here again!
