Pros: The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, with excellent heating and AC. Kids’ activities were fantastic, and staff were friendly and helpful. Cons: The propane BBQ flame was too weak for proper cooking. There was a sewage smell inside the cabin overnight and around the campground, likely from the nearby RV dumping station.

We will be back for sure! We appreciated that it's a quiet camping. No golf kart is pretty positive as we don't need to be worried for our kids who are biking or walking. Lots of activities :) And even if it was the last week-end of the season, we didn't felt like it was. Everything was as expected. Finally our cabin was pretty nice, clean and well furnished.

We have been going every year for the past four or five years. It was a great place for the family to get together, have some fun and share a few stories over a campfire. The grandkids loved the activities including the jumping bag, the halloween activities and the bingo. We'll see you again next year.

My only suggestion is that it is more clear on the website that linens and pillows are included. Otherwise it was a fabulous stay!

Friendly Staff, Plenty of things to do for the kids. Loved how well kept the Mini-Putt, Pool and Splash pad are. VERY CLEAN (Employees seem to always be picking up around the area) Suggestions 2x shower heads in the men's bathroom need a deep clean or replacing since very little water comes out. I would get rid of the slipNSlide, barely used and the stagnant water can become a mosquito issue

This was my first camping experience in over 25 years and I took my two young kids. We rented a cabin and it was so clean and well equipped. The activities were lots of fun and staff was always amazing.

Wonderful as always! My only suggestion is some of the children running around on their own were quite mean to younger children. Maybe more enforcement of children under 12 being supervised?

Love this campground. Perfect for our two 7 year olds. Lots to keep them entertained. We stayed at a lodge and it did not disappoint. Had a sticky door which they came to fix within 5 minutes of us letting them know. We’ll be back next year!

Our first time staying at Cardinal KOA and we were overly impressed! Our kids didnt want to leave! The grounds were beautifully kept and always something for our children to do! We'll definitely be coming back time and time again

I love the simplicity of the cabins, the activities available, the friendliness of staff. In this case, prior campers didn’t clean their dishes (snuck it in the stack of clean things so staff wouldn’t have noticed). There weren’t enough dishes for our group. It’s minor…. Great campground over all

We have been coming as a family for years. This year we found things to not be up to the same standards. Less attention to details. Lack of organization. We waited 25 mins for a scheduled activity. They had forgotten. My cabin bbq utensils were left on the porch and looked dirty. We loved having the option of the pizza and chip truck. Chip truck no longer available. It was our fave. Excellent stay, lots of fun as always. Staff are great, facilities very clean. The kids enjoyed the activities on Saturday, would be great to see more activities on other days as well.

The patios being covered and screened in would be great for the rainy days. The wood we purchased was wet and the pieces were so large it was hard to get our fire started .

We really liked our experience. Kabin was cozy and clean. Would have liked a stove top, but wasnt to be. Staff friendly and really worked hard to keep everything running smoothly. Great job!!!!

This was our 2nd stay at KOA Cardinal! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are very well kept and clean. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. We will be coming back for sure!!

My daughter and I absolutely loved our little cabin (KO1). Quiet mornings/evenings on the little porch swing were a balm for my soul. Both of us appreciate the variety of activities that were offered. I did not hear the words "I'm bored" uttered once! All of the staff were kind and very friendly. We are already planning for our next visit. Thank you for the memories we created during our stay.

We stayed in one of the Kozy Cabins and had the best weekend. The facilities at the KOA are top notch and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend the Cardinal KOA! We will definitely be booking again. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Lots of issues. Going down hill & not well maintained. Asked for them to call me when my cabin was ready.. waited hours and finally went and got keys after witnessing many people getting their cabins. Outside plug didn’t work, no fan, was no curtains on windows and a used pillow left after cleaning not to mention dirt on floor. Had a hard time communicating with staff (don’t speak English)

Thank you for your feedback. Cabin check-in is 4:00 PM, with early check-in offered when available. All cabins have A/C and ceiling fans. Our office staff all speak English. We encourage guests to report concerns during their stay so we can address them promptly.

My family of 5 stayed in the lodge cabin. We really appreciated the cleanliness inside the cabin and around the site and park. The cement around the fire pit was great, the kids enjoyed all the activities. We have no complaints at all. We'd definitely stay here again.

First impressions were very mixed, with the messy run down, overgrown, abandoned looking campers on one side, and the nice water park area and pirate ship playground on the other. The staff was friendly, cabins were clean, washrooms needed cleaned thoroughly more often. I enjoyed my time. Price of wood was very high.

Overall we had a great time.The kids really enjoyed the pool and the bouncer and the place was clean. A couple things as parents, we went to order pizza at 5pm (closes at 6pm) but was told we needed to have it preordered before 3pm. The VR room was closed. The decks on the cabins are also extremely slippery when wet, it rained while we were there. A simple power wash can reduce risk of an injury.

The lodging was up to my expectations. I was disappointed that the website did not show that #1 the pool is fully shallow and that there were not options for teens. I booked based on what I saw on the website, and it seemed like my son would enjoy his stay. He was bored, so we checked out early. I feel this campground would be great for families with young children.

Overall enjoyable stay with lots of activities for the kids. Check in at the front desk went smoothly and the cabin was clean overall upon arrival; however, there were quite a few flies inside the cabin when we arrived. As well, please check your A/C units filters as we were sniffling and sneezing every time we were inside.

We really enjoyed our stay at KOA Cardinal / Ottawa South. The campground was clean, and the activities were a lot of fun! The only downside was an employee mowing the lawn at 7:45 AM. Being woken up by a lawn mower that early is not pleasant and really takes away from the camping experience.

We always have a wonderful time when we come, the front desk staff is amazing, above and beyond. Friendly and great with everyone that comes into the store. All the activities are alot of fun too and a great addition to the experiance.

We loved how easy it was to stay in the cabin. The BBQ and firepit were easy to use. Kids under 10 had a great time. The prices for extra activities were very reasonable (less than 5$).

Shout out to Vanessa and all the employees working who never stopped -- between crafts and carnival games and ice cream and bingo those girls deserve a raise!! We had a wonderful stay and will for sure be back. First time at KOA and won't be the last.

Fun grounds for the kids. We have stayed at many KOAs from Kingston to Quebec to PEI to Barrie.....only real downfall with Cardinal is they don't provide chairs for the fire pit like every other KOA. That was a huge downfall. I feel like that should be a basic at every KOA and very surprised to see not all Kabins accommodate it. Other than that, the store also lacked the typical KOA vibe.

We were very impressed with the value we received for our stay! This was our first 'cabin' experience as we have always 'tent' camped in the past. What a treat to have a washroom in the cabin, and bedding and all amenities provided! The same evening we arrived, my husband was already looking into other KOA's to discover next!

We were there for a family weekend; the weather was great to enjoy the nice pool, the foam party, the special three wheelers. However there was a lot of Mud on our lot and I noticed the slip and slide not in good condition. A good place for kids but expensive.

After 15 yrs of visiting with my two Autistic sons, I am disappointed. The cabin was partly clean, and the pull out couch was unusable from not being cleaned, sand and old glow sticks stuck in the crevasses and sheets. On night 3, seven men crowded into the smallest cabin, partied until 3:30 a.m., smoked pot, and brought outside firewood. No staff were around to address it. Sadly, not returning.

We were happy with our stay and had an enjoyable experience overall. Pros: * The cabin was clean and well-maintained. * The heating and air conditioning worked very well. * The cabin was well-equipped * The recreational facilities and activities organized for children were fantastic and very engaging. * The staff were very friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service. Cons: * The cabin was advertised as accommodating 6 people, with a queen bed, a bunk bed, and a pull-out couch. The beds were reasonably comfortable, but the couch was unusable for sleeping due to a severe dip in the middle, making it uncomfortable and likely to cause back pain. In reality, the cabin only had 4 comfortable sleeping spaces, not 6. * The propane BBQ had a very weak flame, which made it difficult to cook our food properly. * There was a sewage-like smell inside the cabin throughout the night. * There was also an unpleasant sewage smell in the campground, apparently due to the RV dumping station being located nearby. * At 3 PM on Sunday, I was told bike rentals had ended for the season. Two hours later, my upset 8-year-old saw other kids renting bikes. The staff explained they had resumed rentals due to high demand and kindly offered us a free ride, which I appreciated. However, the inconsistent information left us both disappointed. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Nice campground. No sewer hook ups but there is a dump station. Place was pretty empty when we came so was a little disappointed they put us in a pull through site that was very hard to turn into and no room for our truck. So many sites would of accomodated us better

If you have kids and they love interacting with other kids come here. Kids all over having fun. Lots of things for them to do. Splash pad and large play structure was the highlight. Although better parental supervision is required. Park was clean and staff pleasant. Some sites were very narrow however our patio site was probably the best for space. Lots of nice large trees. Park is close to Ottawa and the 401. $15 for firewood is reasonable. Only 4 stars as no sewer available (strange for KOA). Better dumping setup and control by staff during check-out is required. Road to exit was completely blocked. Even if you didn't need to dump you were forced to wait. Kids want to return so I guess we are!
