The lodging was up to my expectations. I was disappointed that the website did not show that #1 the pool is fully shallow and that there were not options for teens. I booked based on what I saw on the website, and it seemed like my son would enjoy his stay. He was bored, so we checked out early. I feel this campground would be great for families with young children.

Overall enjoyable stay with lots of activities for the kids. Check in at the front desk went smoothly and the cabin was clean overall upon arrival; however, there were quite a few flies inside the cabin when we arrived. As well, please check your A/C units filters as we were sniffling and sneezing every time we were inside.

The staff were friendly, conscientious and thorough. A pleasure to deal with. It's a perfect destination for families of all ages. Daily organized activities. A heated pool, jumping pads, play structures and mini golf. Our grandkids look forward to our yearly visits for months in advance.

We really enjoyed our stay at KOA Cardinal / Ottawa South. The campground was clean, and the activities were a lot of fun! The only downside was an employee mowing the lawn at 7:45 AM. Being woken up by a lawn mower that early is not pleasant and really takes away from the camping experience.

Washrooms need a major upgrade, Wi-Fi is basically non existent, and cellular access is just as bad , Only one bar on my phone( no a KOA issue) but if you need coverage for work it's not good Both Telus and Bell, Activities for kids A 15/10 lots of activities

Always a great stay with Cardinal KOA! Only negative is in regards to the camp store…..you advertise the specialty drinks but despite asking numerous time firing out stay they were never available! Perhaps have set times when they are available or just don’t advertise them!

We always have a wonderful time when we come, the front desk staff is amazing, above and beyond. Friendly and great with everyone that comes into the store. All the activities are alot of fun too and a great addition to the experiance.

We loved how easy it was to stay in the cabin. The BBQ and firepit were easy to use. Kids under 10 had a great time. The prices for extra activities were very reasonable (less than 5$).

Our third year camping with the grandchildren and they love it. There is always something for them to do....swimming, bouncing, climbing, mini put, basketball, camp fire, the park, cycling...so much.

Shout out to Vanessa and all the employees working who never stopped -- between crafts and carnival games and ice cream and bingo those girls deserve a raise!! We had a wonderful stay and will for sure be back. First time at KOA and won't be the last.

Very clean, beautiful parc for families. Only wish the pool had a deep end as crouching is not ideal for swimming but I understand the reason for the safety of children.

Fun grounds for the kids. We have stayed at many KOAs from Kingston to Quebec to PEI to Barrie.....only real downfall with Cardinal is they don't provide chairs for the fire pit like every other KOA. That was a huge downfall. I feel like that should be a basic at every KOA and very surprised to see not all Kabins accommodate it. Other than that, the store also lacked the typical KOA vibe.

Everything was cleaned on a regular bases not just twice a day, lots of activities for the children. 1 Free pump out after 5 days stay. Staff were fantastic and very friendly

Nous n'avons pas aimer beaucoup notre séjour, les toilettes des femmes n'était pas propre. nous avons louer une cabine. Les cabines était bien trop proche, on avait l'impression que nous étions assis avec nos voisins sois aux repas ou aux feux le soir. Pour ce qui est de air conditionner c'est dessuait et ca devrait être installer au milieux de la cabine pour que l'air circule. nous n'irons p

Quiet, clean and reasonably maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only concern was that campfires were allowed at a time when there were many wildfires in Ontario. I think it sends the wrong message.

We booked in february and our daughter and family booked at the same time requested their regular cabin and 2 months before our stay they were told their cabin was not available . When we book sites and cabins you should get what you request. No repairs are being done, campers eat at pool and it is a mess. They do not speak English. It is falling apart. I dont think we will stay again.

We were very impressed with the value we received for our stay! This was our first 'cabin' experience as we have always 'tent' camped in the past. What a treat to have a washroom in the cabin, and bedding and all amenities provided! The same evening we arrived, my husband was already looking into other KOA's to discover next!

A great place to have chosen to camp at this past weekend. Cardinal KOA checked off all the boxes for my stay. Good campsite, campers followed the rules and is wasn't noisy. Lots of activities to participate in and, for me, a perfectly heated swimming pool. No question! I'll be back!

There were lots of activities for the kids . But it was far too busy and over crowded in the pool . Wifi is advertised but didn’t work and cell service was spotty. I thought there was a fry truck and pizza available but fry truck never ran when we were there and the pizza you had to pre order early in the afternoon. And wasn’t daily they had a rotating menu. Went there with my grandchildren for a week and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Lots of activities, beautiful pool, splash pad … activities done by counsellors. If you want a place to go with kids… this is your place!

This was our first time camping at Cardinal KOA and will definitely be back. My only complaint would be the pool was extremely busy all the time.

We were there for a family weekend; the weather was great to enjoy the nice pool, the foam party, the special three wheelers. However there was a lot of Mud on our lot and I noticed the slip and slide not in good condition. A good place for kids but expensive.

This was a nice quiet campground for an overnight stop on our way home. It would be nice to have a sewer outlet at the sites, rather than just a dump station.

After 15 yrs of visiting with my two Autistic sons, I am disappointed. The cabin was partly clean, and the pull out couch was unusable from not being cleaned, sand and old glow sticks stuck in the crevasses and sheets. On night 3, seven men crowded into the smallest cabin, partied until 3:30 a.m., smoked pot, and brought outside firewood. No staff were around to address it. Sadly, not returning.

We were happy with our stay and had an enjoyable experience overall. Pros: * The cabin was clean and well-maintained. * The heating and air conditioning worked very well. * The cabin was well-equipped * The recreational facilities and activities organized for children were fantastic and very engaging. * The staff were very friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service. Cons: * The cabin was advertised as accommodating 6 people, with a queen bed, a bunk bed, and a pull-out couch. The beds were reasonably comfortable, but the couch was unusable for sleeping due to a severe dip in the middle, making it uncomfortable and likely to cause back pain. In reality, the cabin only had 4 comfortable sleeping spaces, not 6. * The propane BBQ had a very weak flame, which made it difficult to cook our food properly. * There was a sewage-like smell inside the cabin throughout the night. * There was also an unpleasant sewage smell in the campground, apparently due to the RV dumping station being located nearby. * At 3 PM on Sunday, I was told bike rentals had ended for the season. Two hours later, my upset 8-year-old saw other kids renting bikes. The staff explained they had resumed rentals due to high demand and kindly offered us a free ride, which I appreciated. However, the inconsistent information left us both disappointed. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Nice campground. No sewer hook ups but there is a dump station. Place was pretty empty when we came so was a little disappointed they put us in a pull through site that was very hard to turn into and no room for our truck. So many sites would of accomodated us better

If you have kids and they love interacting with other kids come here. Kids all over having fun. Lots of things for them to do. Splash pad and large play structure was the highlight. Although better parental supervision is required. Park was clean and staff pleasant. Some sites were very narrow however our patio site was probably the best for space. Lots of nice large trees. Park is close to Ottawa and the 401. $15 for firewood is reasonable. Only 4 stars as no sewer available (strange for KOA). Better dumping setup and control by staff during check-out is required. Road to exit was completely blocked. Even if you didn't need to dump you were forced to wait. Kids want to return so I guess we are!
