We stayed in a cabin, very happy with the amenities, the activities for kids, bathrooms always clean and smell nice! Slight disapointed with no more free coffee in the morning at the store, the splash pad was not working and the chip truck didnt open on Saturday with out notice, tried to order a pizza they stopped taking orders because they had too many orders. Everything else was good.

Park was quiet as it was early in the season. Site was good and bathroom was clean. Had to wait for check in but other than that a decent stay.

Love it at KOA Cardinal. The campgrounds are well maintained, booking is easy, and the staff/team are amazing.

This is an amazing, family friendly spot. We appreciated all of the well maintained activities and well organized events. The laid back atmosphere helped us enjoy our time even more. We will be back and we will tell all of our friends!

Quiet, very helpful staff to register us upon arriving. Bathrooms well maintained, clean. A quiet setting to stay for 1 night as we were travelling along Hwy 401. I would recommend this KOA. C Weber

We understand it is early season and this stay way perfect for us traveling across to the Maritimes, but with the campground basically empty they assigned us a site where there was a major mud hole right between the camper pad and the electric/water hook ups. Other than that it is a very nice facility.

I camped at an electric/water site; daughter and grand kids were in the cabin next door. Very rainy and cold weekend but we managed a few games of mini golf, pizza night, ice cream social, lots of play ground time, and one campfire. (Cost of wood was high) Loved: the clean bathrooms, camp staff, and especially loved the RV dump station having a hose already attached - so helpful!

Although the weekend temperatures were not ideal, the kids had lots of fun in the park, around the sites with the activities organized by the staff. While it was yet and cold all weekend, we are happy to have a hot cabin thanks to the furnace. It really made the weekend more enjoyable. The linen in the cabin felt and smelt fresh upon our arrival and everything was very clean. Thanks

Unfortunately our fridge in the lodge wasn't working. They switched our fridge with one from another lodge but by then our food had been unrefrigerated for 25 hrs. We ended up leaving one day before the end of our booking since we had nothing to eat. They refunded me one night but still out of $62 worth of food.

We LOVE Cardinal KOA. So many great activities and always so clean! We were excited to see they have a new pool liner this year! Pool is heated and better than ever. Also pretty impressed with the giant fireworks show they put on for the May long weekend. Much bigger and better than we expected. Keep up the great with Cardinal KOA! We'll be back in a few weeks - can't wait!

This was our third time at this KOA. The campground is clean and they had lots of activities for the kids. A recommendation is to cut back the bushes along the A campsites. The overgrown bushes make it very difficult to back in the trailers and scratch the vehicles. 1 pump out station isn't enough when the campground is full even with the mobile unit.

It is inconvenient that the campsite does not have a drainage system. It is unreasonable to charge $20 for manual drainage. This should be the basic service of the campsite.

During our recent stay this month May 2025 there was a HORRIFIC smell in the cabin. An animal must have died under the cabin. We told office staff multiple times, no move was offered, no checks. Our family has 2 autistic individuals who were severely affected, and still are, because EVERYTHING we brought HAD to be washed twice over to be rid of the stench. AND the women's showers had NO hot water

Absolutely highly recommend this campground. Especially to those who have children. The staff is very easy to deal with and they always have special events going on to help you and the little ones enjoy your stay! We've stayed at this location on multiple occasions over the last two summers and plan to do so again next year!

Everything was done very well. The only disappointment was that some of the extra events such as the haunted house, pumpkin walk…. seem to be smaller every year. Would love to see them restored

There is not enough space to list the reasons why we loved this park. We travel all over Ontario and the US, always staying at KOA campgrounds. This KOA is the cleanest and friendliest KOA we’ve visited. From showers to grounds to garbage/recycle shed. Impeccable. Other KOAs should visit and strive to be as organized and clean. Kudos to the owners of this park.

We are new to this but reserved ahead of time as late getting in that night. We were provided with excellent information/directions by front desk taped to the door upon arrival which helped us settle in for the night. A lovely spot, friendly helpful people and staff and we will definitely return and stay for a longer period of time so we may take in all this lovely campground has to offer. Susan

The stay was pleasant but too costly for the time of year and the amenities we didn’t use. Didn’t use the washrooms or shower house so can’t rate that. Had pine needles everywhere-ugh

Two years in a row we have done Halloween weekend and we have had a lot of fun! The kids want to do it again next year. We may make this an annual tradition for years to come.

We stayed in one of the log cabins. They were clean and well kitted out with a mini fridge, microwave and Coffee machine. The activities for the Halloween themed weekend were fun and the kids had a great weekend.

We enjoy going to the Halloween themed camping every year. I would suggest for next year going back to parade instead of tractor ride took too long for the kids waiting their turn. Also I think each site should get 30 mins free on the bikes if they wish to go a second or third time then pay. Overall excellent!

Amazing, fun filled Halloween weekend, spent with my husband & kids! Staff were very helpful and nice- They went above and beyond with the haunted house & all other activities! We plan on coming back when pool/splash pad is open! Only downside is the price of firewood. $15 for 8-9 pieces is outrageous.

We were happy with our stay and had an enjoyable experience overall. Pros: * The cabin was clean and well-maintained. * The heating and air conditioning worked very well. * The cabin was well-equipped * The recreational facilities and activities organized for children were fantastic and very engaging. * The staff were very friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service. Cons: * The cabin was advertised as accommodating 6 people, with a queen bed, a bunk bed, and a pull-out couch. The beds were reasonably comfortable, but the couch was unusable for sleeping due to a severe dip in the middle, making it uncomfortable and likely to cause back pain. In reality, the cabin only had 4 comfortable sleeping spaces, not 6. * The propane BBQ had a very weak flame, which made it difficult to cook our food properly. * There was a sewage-like smell inside the cabin throughout the night. * There was also an unpleasant sewage smell in the campground, apparently due to the RV dumping station being located nearby. * At 3 PM on Sunday, I was told bike rentals had ended for the season. Two hours later, my upset 8-year-old saw other kids renting bikes. The staff explained they had resumed rentals due to high demand and kindly offered us a free ride, which I appreciated. However, the inconsistent information left us both disappointed. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Nice campground. No sewer hook ups but there is a dump station. Place was pretty empty when we came so was a little disappointed they put us in a pull through site that was very hard to turn into and no room for our truck. So many sites would of accomodated us better

If you have kids and they love interacting with other kids come here. Kids all over having fun. Lots of things for them to do. Splash pad and large play structure was the highlight. Although better parental supervision is required. Park was clean and staff pleasant. Some sites were very narrow however our patio site was probably the best for space. Lots of nice large trees. Park is close to Ottawa and the 401. $15 for firewood is reasonable. Only 4 stars as no sewer available (strange for KOA). Better dumping setup and control by staff during check-out is required. Road to exit was completely blocked. Even if you didn't need to dump you were forced to wait. Kids want to return so I guess we are!
