We've stayed here twice now (and also at many of the Colorado KOAs) and this is definitely Colorado's best KOA.

We were in a tent and I have to say staying by the river was absolutely gorgeous. Bathrooms are clean and new and the lounge area was very cozy. I’ll definitely be back next year.

The staff was helpful & kind. My riverside tent site was beautiful & spacious. There are colorful fall trees & the setting was lovely for walks. The bathhouse is clean & modern. I probably will try one of the cabins on my next visit there.

Second time staying here a great spot for access to many activities. Fishing is close by on Gold Medal rivers. Hiking and biking are also close by. The facilities are very good highly recommend it.

Excellent super-clean bathrooms. The games were fantastic:corn hole, volleyball, horseshoes. The general store and staff were super nice and helpful. The location was beautiful right along the river.

What a gorgeous location! Clean and cozy, we had a tent site right on the Crystal River and it was heavenly! Excellent value and friendly staff....praying I can visit again soon!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff-- all facilities and campgrounds were extremely well kept and clean. We had a tent site by the river and it was so peaceful and calming. Only negative would be about other guests, not the campground itself (running generators at night, bright LED lanterns on continuously that illuminated their campsite as well as ours, etc.).

It was a beautiful weekend on the river, even with the rain. My husband was able to fly fish 20 feet away from our tent. I was able to ride my bike all the way to Basalt (could have ride to Aspen, if my bum could have handled it). Then a dip in the pool. Campfire at night while star gazing. It was marvelous. Nice staff and a gorgeous KOA campground, highly recommend.

What an amazing campground. Beautiful along the River and so close to so many special mtn towns. Hosts incredible helpful and friendly. Nice and quiet. Great for kids and dogs!

The bathrooms were so nice and the staff was really great. We arrived very late and had no problem checking in and grabbing our map. Thanks Crystal river KOA!

Our stay was great, we love this place. I would suggest making a “quick run” through the bathrooms after the morning rush. Just a quick clean. Somewhere around the trash cans some recycle bins would be nice, it was terrible to see so many plastic water bottles in the trash. We took ours to Carbondale. See y’all next year if not this fall. Thanks:)

Only two shower stalls for the entire facility. The laundry machines had mildew. Quiet hours not enforced.

I only stay one night, but I was pleased with the cleanness, nice bathrooms, pretty place, good location, and very friendly staff. I like too all the amenities they offer in the main office for rainy times; TV, games, mini-self cafeteria, and more. I will be back!

My wife and I had a tent site along the river and really enjoyed laying in our tent listening to the river rushing by. The restroom and shower facility was clean and kept stocked. The staff was very friendly. The drive back to Carbondale wasn't bad and we enjoyed our hike and rafting trip. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are already talking/planning a trip next summer.

The staff was very friendly but the camp site didn’t live up to our expectations. All of the tent sites on our row were directly in the sun with no added shade and no way to add your own shade. The water faucet at the site did not work.

Clean, beautiful, varied options for lodging such as tent, RV, cabins, TP. Kara at the front desk was warm, helpful and welcoming. We would love to come back again.

We had a camp site next to the river and on the sound of running water put me to sleep! The campgrounds offer lots of clean facilities and activities. Loved the stay and will be back again.

I have been to the Crystal River Campground 4 or 5 times. It is one of my favorite campgrounds. I like the staff, the cleanliness, the location, the river, and there are a lot of things to do and see in the area. We hiked to Hanging Lake, drove to Crystal Mill, and hung out in Carbondale.

The campground is always in great condition, and the staff are beyond helpful; it's always a warm friendly experience. The environs of Crystal River and the Carbondale area are beautiful beyond words. I'll be back again... in just a few weeks actually.

This KOA was amazing. Location, cabins, host all great. Arrived with some snow and still got a great tour of the campgrounds. We stayed right next to the river with a view of mountains as soon as you walk out.

Overall good stay, clean, and friendly staff. BUT we went to leave on the closing date and water was shut off so couldn't flush out the tank.
