Excellent campground ocean is literally a five minute walk from just about any site if not less very clean and well-maintained. The pool, laundry room, game room and the café on site where a definite plus conveniently located to local stores and gas stations. We would definitely stay there again.

We love coming to this campground but this year we had a bigger camper but put the length of our camper on reservation and the site we were given was barely the size of our camper when there were other sites empty all weekend that were longer. Also I feel like the upkeep on the campground is declining. Just wanted someone to know my concerns. Still had a wonderful time!

Staff are friendly, professional, & knowledgeable. Fun events scheduled for all ages, the campground is clean. The sound system for music at the pool was “crackly”. The beach erosion is within feet of dunes, left little to no room for walking &/or spending time on the beach. We left early due to daily inclement weather & flash flood warnings. We are hopeful the beach can be restored and save

We loved all of the activities that were planned! So much fun! We love the location, the staff was very friendly. We love all of the amenities that it had to offer! Things I would recommend is have Tina’s cafe open when it says it will be open. We were looking forward to having breakfast our last day so we could avoid clean up and saved eating here until last as a treat. Updates to the bath hous

Great campground that is always clean and well kept. We stay there every Memorial Day and always have a fantastic time. We have a large family and there are activities for all ages from toddler to seniors. The beach is in rough shape though due to recent erosion but there was plenty to do at the pool.

My site was underwater for a long period of time and one dumping station is insufficient. On top of that, the coordination of setting people up at there site was all that great, I had to stop in the middle of mine to let someone else get set up was disappointing.

Very friendly staff all around from the front desk to the site trash pick up crew. There was not a single person we interacted with that wasn't pleasant. The pool was awesome and the Memorial Day atmosphere was electric!

Great location and amenities. Staff at check-in were nice & very helpful. Hookups were stretched out. Glad I had extra lengths of water & sewer lines. We will be back.

I was surprised that the concrete pads where not cleaned off had grass on them everywhere and the furniture was dirty seems to me being the start of the year it would have been a better presentation. And I’ve stayed at a lot of koa over the years . And one chair from my neighbor was missing slats in the seat with screws hanging out . Shannon horton 17404640144

Staff was friendly and very attentive. Bathrooms could have used cleaning more frequently but they were still clean enough to take a shower. We will probably be back.

While KOA of Cape Hatteras is a great place to stay with all the amenities especially the swimming pool and the proximity to the water, KOA should look at the enormous cost of the sites and they should consider either stabilizing the prices or discount them. The cost of a site for most people especially with the price of fuel for RV ers today, is just getting to be unreachable.

Excellent campground. Close proximity to the beach absolutely gorgeous. I wish they would do recycling so so much trash would not go into the ocean. There wasn’t a lot of trash, but I sure wish they would do recycling.

Bathrooms near us which was by the dunes were a mess, no ventilation, faucets not working properly, no place to hang clothes in bathroom. Pool to cold we thought it was a heated pool.

Clean and friendly, from the pool to the bathrooms. Staff is very helpful. I loved the trash pick up and wood delivery. Great beach access! Also loved the dog park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Overall stay at Outer Banks was great. Plenty to see and do. The WiFi was not good at all and no pressure at the showers. But still had a great time.

We enjoyed our stay, loved the location to the beach and the sound. Restrooms were clean. Thank you for the doggie bag stations throughout the campground.we will be back.

The campground has a variety of arrangements including small cabins, dog areas, covered picnic areas on individual camp spot. It has a pool, hot tub volleyball sand area all that I didn't use. There is a small store where you check in. They also cook on site. They have activities during the day: bingo, train rides for kids, karaoke etc. The campground doesn't back up to the beach; its more like a narrow shoreline. The current access to this is a series of narrow multiple level steps. How would anyone be able to carry cooler, chair, towels etc down to just gaze at the water seems unsafe. I didn't see anyone do that. Instead I had to travel to visited another beach. People friendly. Bathrooms were alright. They also have washer/dryers (didn't use). The parking areas are mostly gravel. It has rain before I got there and some places had pools of water. It was nice to hear the ocean sounds at night when it got dark and quite. There was a nice breeze during my entire trip.

All in all a great campground for a beach vacation. No boardwalks, high rise hotels, tourist areas, malls or tee shirt shops every 1/2 mile, just beach, ocean inlets, a few restaurants and surf shops. . Some things to keep in mind when planning your camping trip. Do not get an RV site on the main roads. Foot traffic, kids on bikes and other toys, dog walkers and folks going back and forth to the beach. You won't have any privacy or peace and quiet. The paw pens are not secure and won't contain a big aggressive dog. There is definitely a roach problem. I witnessed an infestation around the outside sink on the bath house near our RV site and was in the office when 2 people were complaining to the staff about the problem in their deluxe cabins. Did not affect us in our RV. Also, some office staff can be very condescending and rude (witness that also). Ask to speak to management if you have a problem. There are some staff trailers on the perimeter and a small area of long term residents that could use some sprucing up. The front section could definitely use some covered trash cans as the birds can get very aggressive before trash is picked up! Easy access to ocean and inlet for spectacular sunsets and sunrises, great dog parks and lots of kids activities during the season. Knowing what I know now, will return.
