One of the friendliest, cleanest and most fun KOA’s I’ve ever stayed at. Ocean on one side and bay on the other with a great place to launch a kayak. Very organized staff who were so helpful. Loved it her and most important lots of love for our dogs with multiple areas to let the dogs play.

I love the location and the people that work there. The grounds are always kept clean as well as the pool. We’ve always camped so staying in a room was a first for us. The room and kitchen area are great sized. The few things I’d change are the floors were filthy like they hadn’t been mopped and there was a broom but a stick vac would be better and the hot tub jets never worked.

Cabin was filthy, covered in dog hair (we do not have a dog) all over our socks, clothes, and bag’s immediately. Fridge was gross, surfaces were not wiped or cleaned. Crumbs everywhere. Dirty linen on the beds, trash stuffed in the sofa pull out. Legitimately roach infested. I wanted to crawl out of my skin the entire time. Been there before, never going back. 0/10. Id rather sleep on the ground

There was a problem with the cabin that I was assigned. The campground listened to our concerns and switched us to another cabin which was an upgrade from what we had rented. Then the new cabin had not been cleaned and the campground immediately took care of the situation. Very pleased with how everything was handled.

I received a friendly greeting at check in. The campground is very clean and set up nicely.. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Dog friendly.

We had Ana amazing time at our first KOA adventure. The staff was so very kind and fun. The campground itself is gorgeous. An easy path to the beach. We travelled with our pets and had a very enjoyable stay with them. Thank you so much! Would highly recommend to other travelers .

This is the worst year. They haven’t cleaned the showers in days, the depends laid there for at least 3 days, each day the person added one more pair. The wi-if no longer works, even by the office. The hot tub doesn’t bubble and is cloudy. Lots of cleaning and upgrading needs done to be a “Resort”. My check-in was horrible, dog in car over 90 degrees, couldn’t find a clean cabin for ov

Awesome time as always. A few things that could make it better are to heat the pool so that it can be enjoyed longer into the season (water was freezing) and to add the water slides or something similar that were there in previous years. Staff was excellent as always and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Cabin & weather were great! I stay there a lot for work & y’all are my favorite place to stay��� I had a flat tire & a rough morning & the staff was so patient & amazing in helping me. I really won’t stay anywhere else on the island. The staff make the experience so much more homey. Y’all are my home away from home.

This is the second time I have stayed here. I do like the campgrounds. Cottage 1444 had a huge crack in the bathtub and all the flooring was rotted inside of the bathroom. The bedroom TV was Fuzzy. You get maybe 10 minutes at the most of hot water for a shower. Also the washer and dryers were out of service in the bathhouse. It's not the end of the world I will stay here again.

We had a great time, however the bathrooms need to be cleaner, at times they were very dirty and looked not they had not been cleaned for a couple of days . Also on cabin one of the deck rails was loose and falling out of place , which was dangerous Otherwise the entire campground and staff were amazing

The campground and facilities are great. The beds were not comfortable at all in the deluxe cottages. We did not have a remote to the bedroom TV and when the staff brought one out to us, it would not work the TV. We rented a golf cart and instead of charging me $78.97 for 1 day the lady charged my debit card $787.98, which in turn had my checking account screwed up the rest of the vacation.

The cabin we stayed in (1444) had water damage in the bathroom. The floor was rotting and the tub had a crack in it from the floor rotting, I’m not sure how much longer it will hold up. With that being said, we would definitely come back and stay again, hopefully we won’t have that issue again, it’s a nice campground and I’d like to try one of the elevated cabins.

Everything was great, we enjoyed it as always. But there are several things that need attention: 1. ACs in cabins are way too noisy. Sleeping is not very comfortable with that. 2. Bathrooms need better cleaning (doors, walls) 3. Hot tub was not working :( 4. It would be great to have mini-fridges in all cabins a lot of other KOAs have

Excellent staff . Mosquitoes are ferocious so bring protection . Plenty to do . Bathrooms are ok . Main problem to me is the slobs that refuse to flush and clean up behind themselves . You can’t blame staff for that . We will be back .

We really enjoyed the fact that you can go from the beach to the pool in the same day. The activities are nice for the kids and the playground was in great condition. There were some small things with our cabin that bothered me like trash on the ground when we arrived and it doesn't look like anyone cleaned under the bed in months. The love music was not great. Overall a good experience.

Other than the cockroaches in each room of the cabin (adults and babies), no TV connection even though website stated 20 channels were included and inaccessible office due to steps, the campsite itself was great. I would only recommend it to people who have their own camper, which unfortunately was not my situation.

We had an amazing stay with KOA! The cabin was great the location wonderful the dog park was great and close for our four legged baby. The activities that the kids could do were great. The pool was clean and clear the tiki bar!! I loved our stay and will definitely be back again. Susan at the front desk is amazing she worked with us she was friendly and helpful she got to know our family.

I hoped other reviewers were wrong but first hand noted that the resort was amazing and had ALL the amenities but the bathrooms are atrocious:( If you are staying somewhere in the campground that has its own bathroom and shower it’s lovely but if you depend on the campground restroom think twice. The staff is very friendly and good food!

This was our 5th time staying at this location. Noticed that many of the amenities had gone away or needed lots of TLC. The hot tub was not working, there was no shade umbrellas at th open pool. Our cabin had broken railing that severely needed repair we were unable to control the temperature on the air conditioner as it was out of our reach. This is too bad as this is such a lovely location.

My stay at KOA Cape Hatteras was nothing short of spectacular! I traveled there with my boyfriend to stay in the cabins for a week and enjoy a much needed vacation. During our time there he proposed (I said YES!). The cabin and amenities were great, the campground was very clean, and there were constant activities to do. The KOA staff were very friendly and helpful as well. See you next year!

This was my second time staying here and I absolutely love this campground. We stayed in the camping cabins. Very comfortable and convenient. I really enjoyed all the activities the campground has going on. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. Will definitely be back!!

Cabin 513. A mouse got into our food the first night. When we were leaving I found a marshmallow under one of the beds from a previous camper. Our biggest concern was the bathhouse near the cabins. None of them were clean. The section with multiple showers had several out of order the first night. When we left on Monday they were all out of order and the place smelled strongly of sewage.

The shower area was not working except for one room and that was filthy. There were clumps of human hair, dirt and no toilet paper.When door on our cabin was closed there was a half inch gap. Was bitten by a bee during the night that could have come in through that gap. Very expensive for low quality.

The bath house in the middle of the park was disgustingly filthy, there is black mold on the ceilings and walls and rotting around the floors. For the amount of money charged they should be pristine and mold free.we will think twice about returning.

Added two new photos, well a photo and a video of the beach while being ravaged be tropical storm Ophelia. We hunkered down and made it through. The campground was back in full operation the next day. --------------------------- Great beach KOA. Has nice pool, and play equipment for kids. Good clean modern bath houses w/laundry. Easy beach access regardless of your site location. Also has rental cabins in case you are a non-RVer or ⛺. Great service staff. They even pick up your trash from your site daily.
