Overall, I felt like the campground was well-run, very welcoming, and in an amazing location. The campsites were very tight with barely enough room to park the truck. There were large fifth-wheels being crammed into the same site as my 30 ft travel trailer. This made pulling in and out with the campers very difficult and nearly impossible without coordination.

The stay was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and engaging with guests. The only complaint that we have on the stay was the cleanliness of the bath house.

The staff was amazing , absolutely wonderful. Kind friendly and outgoing ! The activities for the children were TOP TIER! My kids really enjoyed the fun train , glow train and really all the activities!! Such a joy for children. The facility needs work and upkeep / maintenance. Septic issue near the pool , pool itself was so nice but needs minor coping repairs .

There were always activities going on for anyone who enjoys getting involved. There were some great fundraisers as well. The pool was lovely and big. The bathhouses were well maintained for the most part. We had a great time. Close to the beach, close enough to the town if you wanted to venture out. Would definitely go back and would recommend to others for sure.

The celebratory atmosphere for the 4th was incredible. The bath house remained clean 95% of the time. The staff was courteous and informative. Returning later this year and expect the same experience!! Will stay again!

The stay was wonderful. The only complaint I have were the speeding golf carts as I was almost hit by one driven by a teenager. I am too old to be dodging golf carts.

We’ve been coming here for a decade and the campground continues to not be maintained. The laundry is always out of order and the ones that work eat your quarters. We lost $10 trying to do our clothes. Kids are everywhere on electric bikes, scooters etc and speed limit and road laws are not enforced. We saw a ln electric bike run over a kid at our site. It’s a miracle they weren’t killed.

I did not realize when I booked my stay that there was no sewer hook up at the campsite, but I did notice that there were a few campsites towards the front that had sewer hook up. I wish we would’ve had a sewer hook up. My tanks were full by the end of by the middle of third day of stay maybe you could offer a dump service. I know there are companies that come out and dump RVs holding tanks.

We stayed on what is undoubtedly the busiest week of the year, but we had a fantastic time! Lots of fun activities that we enjoyed as they passed our RV. We look forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful site on the end of a row. IT was perfect. However, if you are in the middle, you could feel a bit tight. The amenities were great. Beach access and pool a plus. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay!

We were there for 4 nights, and for the most part it was enjoyable, until that godd**n “train” went through, blaring “music” disrupting the peace. The Tiki bar was advertised as a “cocktail” bar… not, wine and beer only. It would have been nice for Tina’s to stay open later, especially in the summer, but that was not really an issue. It was great! We have been there few times. I would like to suggest that the desk registration personnel need to be a bit more welcoming. I always stayed at the KOA's and this is the first time where the desk is no really happy to see u. Otherwise the place is great, grounds are well taking care of and bathrooms are clean.

KOA employees are always nice friendly and helpful i have been to OBX KOA 9 times n 8 years l had a bad site this time I had to hand walk my discharges to dump them cause the dump site was higher than my discharge outlets I loved the new ramp to beach except the steps on the other side to hard for wagons and carts that was dumb love the peace and quite

I wish both bath houses were as nice as the one up closet to the front. I wish the prices would stop going up so much so that everyone could be able to experience it. All in all it's a great place and staff is friendly.

When booking we asked if an opportunity arose if we could get closer to the ocean we were interested in- they totally took care of us with a phone call before we got there. Campground is large but very walkable and never felt overcrowded. Beach and pool always had plenty of space. Very windy the whole time so be prepared for that. Staff very friendly.

Campfires on the beach are a must experience! It’s a great location to just relax. Felt like a resort but with your camper! Although they have cabins aplenty for those without. Chances of rain pass quickly but it’s windy all the time. Beach gets more crowded but plenty of space if you walk down a bit - waves can be rough so parents just be aware. Staff super friendly!

The Outer Banks KOA always provides a relaxing opportunity for us. We put our kayaks in the sound a few times and spent time in the hot tub. The sunsets are beautiful from the pier in the sound. Additionally, the wifi in the campground is excellent.

I love the facility and amnesties. The tiki bar and pool are awesome My only complaint is that it was way to crowded a little more space between campsites would have been nice. It was very difficult getting in and out of my space

First time KOA campground campers here. Next time would book FHU. Bathhouse was clean and fine to utilize but kids prefer our own space. maintain the grounds alittle more (ie: grass being cut and holes throughout gravel pathways filled.) The golf cart we rented was pretty basic but could use some TLC. The electrical plug was very junky and wouldnt charge on all electricall outlets

Lousy Wi-Fi! For $200 per night, I at least expected decent wi-fi. Signal was so low at our site none of our devices (Laptop, Tablet, the TV and our cellphones) could connect. If Wi-Fi is important to you, this is not the place. Had to use our cellphone (5 bars) hotspots. Apparently, you are only paying for the location. Great beach and good amenities. Nice pool.

This is the second time we've stayed at this campground. It is very nice. This year it was a last minute pivot (long story) so we were unable to book the premium sites by the office. We had site 226 and it was closer to the beach so that was a plus. They were still cleaning up from a nor'easter so there was some debris around that they were cleaning up. No big deal. Our site did not offer a lot of shade and our awnings didn't help either. So I'd get a sight where your camper shields the sun. Centrally located to lots of things to do. Office staff very nice. We ended up having to evacuate because another nor'easter was coming in. Aww the adventure of RVing!

I love this spot, especially on October. We travel by RV, but there are plenty of cabin options for other family and friends to meet us there. This year we were chased out by a storm/mandatory evacuation, but staff handles the evacuation smoothly and refunds were given instantly. I try to come every year.
