We had a wonderful 3 days. Everyone at KOA was so friendly the campground well kept. Definitely want to come back!!!

We enjoyed a large level site near the ocean. Pre-season pricing made the experience more affordable. We do not support conditional pricing in season and would not recommend the park for that reason. The cost of a site should be set and not dependent on other unknown factors. The cost of a site should never be answered with “well, that depends on many variables”.

We stayed two weeks. Bathroom was very dated and never seemed to be clean. Two of the toilets wobbled when you sat on them. The dryer melted our polyester bedspread. Campground is ideally situated to the ocean, although one access route was closed. Staff was very friendly and repeatedly expressed interest in our needs, Joshua in particular. We will return, God willing.

It was a very nice stay although due to no fault of the KOA it was extremely cold. The only issue we had is that there wasn't any pressure in the showers at the bathhouse showers at the first wash house. Everything else was great, staff in the part were excellent.

Enjoyed our stay at this park. The sites are gravel and basically level. We had a pull thru site near the beach. Showers and restrooms were very clean and good to use. Staff was excellent, friendly and informative .. They were often in the park. They only issue we had was that we were unable to get tv reception which was a problem as the weather turned sketchy.

Campground was well laid out, bath house showers and facilities were cleaned. Bathroom near the beach was the only area of disappointment as they were not cleaned enough for the traffic they saw.

What a wonderful setup and beautiful location! Probably the best camping bathrooms I’ve ever seen! Well kept up! Very friendly and helpful staff! Will definitely stay again!!

I know it’s not the KOAs fault but the beach was filled with debris. After recent storms several properties have fallen into the ocean and their remnants are spread up and down the beach. Nails and septic covers. Posts and electrical wires. It’s just a mess. If your plan is to swim in the ocean while at the Outer Banks make sure everyone has their tetanus shots. And that’s not being dramatic

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this spectacular Campground close to the beach. The Bathhouses were heated and clean. The staff welcoming and helpful.

The campground and facilities were very clean and well-maintained. Ashley and Heather were so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best trip. All staff were friendly and kind. We can't wait to go back. Highly recommend visiting this KOA.

Second time visiting this KOA. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The sites are clean and spacious. We went during the down season so basically had the entire camp to ourselves. The dog parks were clean and they have two different sides. The beach of course is our favorite; clean and accessible. Will definitely be back to visit soon.

Bathrooms clean, clubhouse was nice. Only two details I can complain about. Cable didn’t work and the one beach access stairs were broken and dangerous.

enjoyed the stay & the area; campground clean and maintained well; staff is friendly; we were traveling w/another couple w/their own camper and asked to be next to each other-campground stated we should lock in sites for a $25 fee, so both we did (assuming it was crowded). My sister in law was changed another $25 to ensure the site; it was NOT crowded and we inquied; all was refunded to us!

This was our first visit to KOA. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bath house was very nice. Individual rooms for shower, toilet and sink. Would love to visit during a warmer time of year to enjoy more amenities.

Very accommodating. Our site was flooded after rain and muddy due to construction of electrical posts and they let us move to a site that was not quite as muddy. Super nice staff.

My family have been camping at your KOA for close to 40 years. We so enjoyed the Shuck Hatteras Festival! The KOA Rodanthe Team did a wonderful job. Thank you all! We will be back!!!

We loved our stay! The location is close to everything and the many campground amenities made for an enjoyable stay. The bathrooms are spotless and serviced multiple times per day. Additionally, the Tday feast was awesome! Thanks for a great visit!

The campground has a variety of arrangements including small cabins, dog areas, covered picnic areas on individual camp spot. It has a pool, hot tub volleyball sand area all that I didn't use. There is a small store where you check in. They also cook on site. They have activities during the day: bingo, train rides for kids, karaoke etc. The campground doesn't back up to the beach; its more like a narrow shoreline. The current access to this is a series of narrow multiple level steps. How would anyone be able to carry cooler, chair, towels etc down to just gaze at the water seems unsafe. I didn't see anyone do that. Instead I had to travel to visited another beach. People friendly. Bathrooms were alright. They also have washer/dryers (didn't use). The parking areas are mostly gravel. It has rain before I got there and some places had pools of water. It was nice to hear the ocean sounds at night when it got dark and quite. There was a nice breeze during my entire trip.

All in all a great campground for a beach vacation. No boardwalks, high rise hotels, tourist areas, malls or tee shirt shops every 1/2 mile, just beach, ocean inlets, a few restaurants and surf shops. . Some things to keep in mind when planning your camping trip. Do not get an RV site on the main roads. Foot traffic, kids on bikes and other toys, dog walkers and folks going back and forth to the beach. You won't have any privacy or peace and quiet. The paw pens are not secure and won't contain a big aggressive dog. There is definitely a roach problem. I witnessed an infestation around the outside sink on the bath house near our RV site and was in the office when 2 people were complaining to the staff about the problem in their deluxe cabins. Did not affect us in our RV. Also, some office staff can be very condescending and rude (witness that also). Ask to speak to management if you have a problem. There are some staff trailers on the perimeter and a small area of long term residents that could use some sprucing up. The front section could definitely use some covered trash cans as the birds can get very aggressive before trash is picked up! Easy access to ocean and inlet for spectacular sunsets and sunrises, great dog parks and lots of kids activities during the season. Knowing what I know now, will return.
