It was an amazing framily vacation. We had sites as well as cabins. Everything was clean and the staff was amazing! The texts daily with information was an awesome feature! I highly recommend coming here!!

First time guests.....we had a great time at this KOA. Easy to get to, great staff, we were really close to beach access.

As usual it was very good, and the weather was with us most of the time. One improvement that could be done is to have "trash boxes" on every site/row, so that we didn't have to guard the trash from the various birds wanting to get hold of what's inside. We are booked again for next year.

We loved everything, the ocean and the sound with amazing sunsets. The sites are large and campground is clean. The staff are all very nice and helpful and plenty of fun activities planned and an amazing pool. Can’t wait to come back.

We have visited three times during the summer months. Proximity to the beach is great. The pool and hot tub are wonderful, especially with the live music each night. One thing that was a negative is that there were too many children using the hot tub as a swimming pool. One even swam past me under water! It should be adults only. Also sites are very small.

We enjoyed our stay, sites are typical koa size, not huge but doable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The activities were fun and the kids had a great time. Beach access was great, pool was great. We are planning a return for next summer. Thanks

This was our 4th trip to the KOA in the Outer Banks and we absolutely love this campground. We will for sure be back again!

It was a good stay. Notices were given offen. Even when our owning got cought in the wind that came up. If we come back we will stay at the KOA.

Everybody had a wonderful time. All of the daily activities were great, ice cream, ice cream floats, the glow train and foam party were all big hits. Like the renovated bathhouse. The live music rocks, loved Mary Joy McDaniel. Kudos to the staff, including Cowboy for his help backing in. Can't wait for the next trip.

Bathrooms disgusting. Power outages and water outages in extreme heat. Campground showed no pride in site appearance as many campsites looked trashy possible employee sites. No safe overflow parking for trailers and boats that are supervised with valuable equipment. Attitude from staff when trying to come up with a solution. Will not return.

I arrived in a major downpour. Luckily, I was greeted by Marion who was very responsive to my situation. She provided me with paper towels to dry off. Because the site assigned was now flooded, Marion sought alternatives. This could have been the beginning of an awful vacation, but it turned into a wonderful stay. Everyone was very professional and kind. The campground was neat and well patrolled

Great time! Only problem was all toilets were unavailable during shower time. And shower time was a 4-5 person deep waiting line.

Had a great time! Staff is very friendly (especially compared to the Thousand Trails campground we have stayed several times). Easily being able to go to beach or sound side was amazing!!!

From the first call to make our reservations, through check in and all activities while there, this place was amazing! Everyone smiling and friendly. We live 10 hours from here and I would make the drive again just for the resort alone…nevermind the beautiful Outer Banks! Thank you!!!!

This campground is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and helpful. And they do fun stiff for the kids every day. Very clean and friendly. The pool is the biggest I’ve seen at a KOA and always super clean. We have been going here for 4 years now and will continue. Always the best time

We had the absolute best time last week.We camped with our two sons and their families-13 of us in all with 7 being grandchildren.We were in sites 306 308 309. There was nothing that could have been better!Well - maybe less heat!HAHA! The campground is absolutely beautiful!Our one son was there last year and said we all have to go this year.This kids want to go back!Your texting is great to have

Friendly staff and very clean both outside and the bathhouse. Grandson loved the pool and my son enjoyed the band. Thanks for a great time. We’ll be back.

I feel shade coverage (sail)is needed over the jumping pillow and playground for use during the day for kids to play. Also, additional shade coverage is needed by the pool. The entire one side needs coverage extended or some large umbrellas to enjoy amenities all day. Additional golf cart parking is needed by the beach access areas. Barrel rides should run longer and start later because of sun

Wonderful Campground very clean and organized. I would recommend anybody use this Campground you have access to the ocean wonderful Beach. Then there's an in ground pool awesome swimming with a snack bar and a beverage bar. Bathrooms are clean and they are air conditioned definitely will be going back to this Campground again.

All staff are friendly. I love that they assist with parking the camper, definitely minimizes spousal disagreements on arrival � we love coming to the outer banks and when camping always stay at the KOA

The campground has a variety of arrangements including small cabins, dog areas, covered picnic areas on individual camp spot. It has a pool, hot tub volleyball sand area all that I didn't use. There is a small store where you check in. They also cook on site. They have activities during the day: bingo, train rides for kids, karaoke etc. The campground doesn't back up to the beach; its more like a narrow shoreline. The current access to this is a series of narrow multiple level steps. How would anyone be able to carry cooler, chair, towels etc down to just gaze at the water seems unsafe. I didn't see anyone do that. Instead I had to travel to visited another beach. People friendly. Bathrooms were alright. They also have washer/dryers (didn't use). The parking areas are mostly gravel. It has rain before I got there and some places had pools of water. It was nice to hear the ocean sounds at night when it got dark and quite. There was a nice breeze during my entire trip.

All in all a great campground for a beach vacation. No boardwalks, high rise hotels, tourist areas, malls or tee shirt shops every 1/2 mile, just beach, ocean inlets, a few restaurants and surf shops. . Some things to keep in mind when planning your camping trip. Do not get an RV site on the main roads. Foot traffic, kids on bikes and other toys, dog walkers and folks going back and forth to the beach. You won't have any privacy or peace and quiet. The paw pens are not secure and won't contain a big aggressive dog. There is definitely a roach problem. I witnessed an infestation around the outside sink on the bath house near our RV site and was in the office when 2 people were complaining to the staff about the problem in their deluxe cabins. Did not affect us in our RV. Also, some office staff can be very condescending and rude (witness that also). Ask to speak to management if you have a problem. There are some staff trailers on the perimeter and a small area of long term residents that could use some sprucing up. The front section could definitely use some covered trash cans as the birds can get very aggressive before trash is picked up! Easy access to ocean and inlet for spectacular sunsets and sunrises, great dog parks and lots of kids activities during the season. Knowing what I know now, will return.
