We stayed for the weekend in a premium camping cabin (no bathroom). We enjoyed the amenities at the camp ground. My son especially enjoyed the pool and the jumping balloon pad. Being located in Rodanthe, the campground is in a good central location to visit the whole of the Outer Banks. Would definitely stay again!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The campground has plenty of activities with a very large pool, and hot tub that is well kept. We really enjoyed the Tiki Bar next to the pool. The best part is having access to the beach from inside the campground.

This was our first visit with a KOA. My family was so impressed and happy with all of the events & accommodations. Despite the rain, my kids want to know when we are coming back! KOA OBX Rodanthe is going to become an annual tradition.

Stay was great love all the activities, how close the beach is, all the amenities. We stayed in hotel floors were sticky, the ceiling fans caked with dust. Could be cleaner. I’d suggest a quarterly deep clean of all rooms.

Arrived after hours and the key was not left in the box. It was 8:10 so we were able to locate an employee. Visited the bathhouse around 9:00. I fell and hit ground missed bottom step. I was holding the rail. I feel like there was not appropriate lighting. In a lot of pain during night. Packed up in morning and went to urgent care. Office refunded 3 of our 4 night stay.

Everything was in the cabin that was needed, just had some bugs that I wish were not there. The cabin was spacious had everything i needed. Very nice campground.

Deluxe cabin we stayed in was just ok. The bathroom smelled like urine and one of the totes that stored bedding had bugs inside. Other than that..it was ok. For the price we payed no one should have any of those issues or concerns.

Bathrooms rarely had toliet paper and we had no knowledge that the ramp beach acesss with less stairs was closed upon check in.

Rude staff! I asked for clean towels and was told that I'd need to wait three days, with tons of attitude, like I'd done something wrong. I insisted and asked for 4 towels for my family, instead, I received 2. Another guest told me a staff member cursed under her breath when she asked for toilet paper. All signs say to simply call for towels. For $350 a night, can I have toilet paper & a towel?

It was great! Only complaint was in our cabin one of the air conditioning units and fan went off on the middle of the night, each night. Then the room was quite warm for our kids. It was looked at by maintenance but still happened cabin 517. But an overall wonderful experience!

Me and a buddy rented a primitive cabin for a week and it actually had a fridge in it this time which was a nice upgrade, as I have stayed at this KOA in most of its lodgings including many of the primitive cabins. The air conditioners could stand to be upgraded in these units imo but everything was great.

This was the first year I haven’t given five stars. It is solely based on the fact that the bathrooms were not kept up properly. I never saw anyone cleaning them and there was frequently no toilet paper. Otherwise, our stay was excellent.

I love the Cape Hatteras KOA. I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years and haven’t had a bad experience. I will say this time it was inconvenient to have the ramp entrance to the beach shut down. Having to carry all our stuff up and down the stairs wasn’t ideal. Also this time, we stayed in a cabin and the AC had trouble keeping up with the heat and humidity making it hard to get good

First time camping for our grandkids 6 and 9 years old. We only stayed for 2 days as we were headed to Okracoke. The kids wished we stayed there longer. They loved the activities, the pool, the golf cart. My granddaughter said when we camp again, we can only stay at KOA campgrounds! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Wonderful weekend stay in cabin 503! Close to the bathhouse which was immaculate and a short walk to the ocean. This is our 2nd year staying here & we’ll be back in 2027!!

My family and I had such an amazing stay. The staff was so nice and helpful, and there were tons of things to do at the campground. We will definitely be staying again when we return to outer banks!

Excellent location with great beach access and sound side access. Super family friendly. Good staff. Fast internet (rated 85 MBPS). Lots to do. We can't wait to come back

I wish the staff had indicated the beach is gone in Rodanthe we would have planned to do other things - the KOA itself is great but not knowing about the beach being washed away is a bummer.

The deluxe cabin we rented was NOT cleaned. Hair in the bathtub, bathroom sink was nasty, rotten apples & oranges in cabinet, dog hair all over unswept floor. Guy in office said that it was NOT marked as clean but the lady said it was. We ended up getting cleaning supplies and doing it ourselves. The ladies in the store were rude everytime we needed new towels. I was disappointed.

The activities, safety, and amenities of common areas were beyond compare. The activities staff were very kind and accommodating. Would stay again just for that. However, the cabins were dirty, unkempt, and not very well maintained. The staff was quick to fix any issues, but the floors were filthy when we got there, and a lot of unresolved water damage. We mopped the floors 3 times our 1st day.

We had the best time. Everything was wonderful. We flew kites on the beach and my daughter rode on the fun train. We always enjoy the amenities at KOA. Can't wait to come back next year!

Check in was GREAT! Sandra was fantastic. The grounds and bathrooms were clean, as well as the coastal cabin wr stayed in. Everything looked like it was up and running. Only 2 items are negative. 1- no beach to speak of. NOT CAMPGROUND FAULT! 2- looks can be misleading. In reference to remolded bathhouse. No counters or shelves for toiletries. Weather saver showers took forever to rinse soap off.

our stay was awesome. this was our first time staying at a KOA and we were not disappointed. next time we know what to bring and not bring. the only problem was the toaster did not work.

We had issues with our camper cabin during our stay. We had a camper cabin with a tarp on part of the roof- it didn’t leak during a massive downpour but at night you could hear the tarp blowing. We had electrical issues that were resolved with maintenance. Our door was SO hard to open and close. There was sand all over the mattresses on arrival. The cafe/pool area was great. Short walk to beach.

Love this KOA. We have camped here several times and it never gets old. Amenities and location are everything. Staff is helpful and friendly. New shower houses are great too!

We had fun!We love the pool and the beach. They have activities scheduled and pool is well maintained and clean! They have pretty much everything you need for like camping stuff, bonfire and smores kit at the convenience store! We stayed in the glamping tent, the shade needed to be replaced because its almost tearing apart by the wind, the bed and A/C needs an upgrade but overall its good.

This is the second time we've stayed at this campground. It is very nice. This year it was a last minute pivot (long story) so we were unable to book the premium sites by the office. We had site 226 and it was closer to the beach so that was a plus. They were still cleaning up from a nor'easter so there was some debris around that they were cleaning up. No big deal. Our site did not offer a lot of shade and our awnings didn't help either. So I'd get a sight where your camper shields the sun. Centrally located to lots of things to do. Office staff very nice. We ended up having to evacuate because another nor'easter was coming in. Aww the adventure of RVing!

I love this spot, especially on October. We travel by RV, but there are plenty of cabin options for other family and friends to meet us there. This year we were chased out by a storm/mandatory evacuation, but staff handles the evacuation smoothly and refunds were given instantly. I try to come every year.
