Returning Customer for several years. However, the whole week we were there we did not see any mosquito treatment that week and usually there’s a truck that comes while we’re there. Mosquitoes were horrible.

Felt the “Deluxe” cabin was overpriced and underwhelming for the cost per night; rated for 6 persons, kitchen needs proper utensils for eating and cooking, a larger coffee maker is desperately needed (especially when one person drinks a pot of coffee), bathtub leaked, floors weren’t swept. Positives: wrap around deck is nice, great pool, Tina’s Cafe was very good. KOA staff very friend

We stayed in one of the suites above the office/store and we enjoyed our stay , the room and facilities were very clean and roomy. I would recommend people to stay with the Cape Hatteras KOA. It was very convenient to just walk over the board walk and you are right on the beach .(Awesome) Thank you for your hospitality.

I had a wonderful stay at Cape Hatteras/Outer Banks KOA! The friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and comfortable accommodation made it the perfect getaway. I loved that it’s dog-friendly, making it easy to bring my pup along. It was a great place to unwind and have fun. I’ll definitely be back next year!

Amenities were great, nice pool, tiki bar was great, good live entertainment. Access to beach was nice. Staff was for the most part really good. We had an issue in our room upon arrival and it was handled promptly. Unfortunately on our last day, some of the guests we were with had an unpleasant verbal altercation with a KOA employee that they said was latin and spoke Spanish as we all do.

Stayed in one of the cabins, the door didnt fit right and I had mosquitoes in my room every night. Would be nice if the cabins had a microwave-- it stormed the whole time I was there and made cooking outside impossible.

My children and I had the best stay! I came to Hatteras KOA as a kid and now I’m able to share this wonderful resort with my children. The staff is great and the activities schedule gave us so much enjoyment. We can’t wait until next year!

After we got over the room being dirty and filled with dog hair, it was great. We got there 15 min before check in. Said the room may not be ready by 3pm. The older lady at the front desk had an attitude about it. I get a text 10 min later saying the coin is ready. It was ready because they didn't clean it. We had the best time and loved the convenience of being able to walk straight onto the beach from the campground! The pool and hot tub, the entertainment were also so much fun. Just bring your bug spray because despite their best efforts, palmetto bugs may be in your lodging, that was the only negative..besides that, would highly recommend!

Cabins needed to be cleaned a little more counter was dirty, cabins also need to be sprayed for bugs we had cockroaches show up. The bathroom facilities need to be cleaned more often especially when so many people are using them. The KOA amenities were great we had a great time at pool and beach and tie dying shirts.

The only thing good about this resort was the beach. We had a deluxe cabin rental, 1502, the door frame to the master bedroom came off when we opened the door, we found dirty soda bottles, socks, and trash in the bunk beds, the master bedroom bed was VERY uncomfortable, the staff was rude at the front desk, I can go on. Oh, cockroaches in the room. Yeah. Beach was great.

This was a beautiful campground. We stayed in the elevated 6-person Deluxe cabin which was very nice and spacious. The 8 person cabins, which my adult children stayed in with their families were very nice also, but they definitely had less space in the living/kitchen area. My only recommendations would be to update the kitchen cookware/utensils. Also, add more shade umbrellas around the pool.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We had a few hiccups our cabin wasnt ready at check in and had an almost hour delay to wait. One night at 1:47AM we were woken up by the people staying directly across from us & they flashed their headlights in our cabin constantly waking up our baby. We loved the amenities and my sons enjoyed the train ride especially the glow ride. We will be back again

I knew I was paying for minimum with air conditioning. I was very impressed with the double bed and bunks. There were two chairs on the porch and a picnic table. Did not expect the small refrigerator. We loved the pool with a 0 to 3 foot end for our grandsons. Will go again, next time we might stay longer than one night and bring our camper.

Black mold, ants, destroyed flooring, dirty. There are two lodging options on the website with the same title "Deluxe Cabin" with the exact same description. One was a more modern, upgraded finish, the other was a wood cabin. We thought we had booked the modern cabin -- and had called to confirm but even the KOA employee did not know the difference between the two different lodging options.

I had a whole week to spend down here and it was just wonderful. The weather was awesone. The campground was clean and operating wonderfully. Friendly people everywhere. I recommend this KOA to everyone. I will be back!

Overall we had a great stay! The events were a lot of fun and we will definitely be back. A couple small things we did have issues with was no blender at the tiki hut, so a virgin pina colada was just the drink mixed together and tasted thick and just awful. Then all of staff was great except one woman at the counter on Wednesday morning who just didn’t seem happy and a little condescending.

We live in KDH, pool had black algae all over the south walls, hot tub was absolutely disgusting with black algae around the entire perimeter and in grout, like y’all get inspections from the health department and they would shut it down if they saw what I saw, manager said they would take care of it but didn’t, their pool boy needs to go retake class and do his job, grounds are great though

Everything went well. I had one issue that was resolved quickly with no problems. Very good text communication as well. The room was clean and mostly comfortable. The bed was great the pillows are in desperate need of an upgrade. The chairs were comfortable but also could use an upgrade. Great amenities and lots of fun things to do at all times.

Cape Hatteras KoA is a family oriented campground on the Atlantic Ocean. It has been a family summer vacation destination for 19 years. We love the pool, Tiki bar, camp activities, the on site restaurant (Tina's), and proximity to the beach. It is a nice get away we enjoy each year.

We had a great time at the Cape Hatteras/Outer Banks KOA. The staff was super friendly, the pool was huge and there were scheduled activities throughout the day to participate in. Our kids loved taking the train rides throughout the campground. The campground was clean and easy to navigate. We will definitely be recommending this campground to others!

Cabin had to be cleaned upon arrival. Cabin was dirty(food crumbs, candy smudges) ants were everywhere(in beds, on floors and walls). Lock wouldn’t function properly, sometimes took over a minute to get it to unlock. AC smelled like mold, used as little as possible despite needing it. Bathrooms were almost always dirty even after they were closed for “cleaning”. Destination was nice but poor

Corner Vacation Suite requires a deep cleaning. We love the place. It's our second year in a row. The only disappointments were the grill & air conditioner. The air conditioner was fine until the mid afternoon heat then it was overwhelmed and couldn't keep the cabin cool. Needs replaced. The grill was broken last year. I told someone. It was very poorly repaired with a mesh grill sheet and is still broken. It needs replaced! It's a fire hazard!

Love this campground and location! The men’s bathroom was completely closed the week we were there which led to more use and other bathrooms very used and dirty. Cabin had large palmetto bugs, staff was responsive to spraying but they kept coming. Heard this is common in obx? Despite these things will 100% be back again love coming yearly!

Always have a great time here. We were in one of the older camping cabins. I get the rustic look but you need to replace the door with a real one. Ours had a big gap that allowed rain to come in during the bad storm Monday morning. Also, there were a couple of mornings when ALL bathrooms were closed for cleaning. Need to alternate so a couple are open. But, we do love this place.

This is the second time we've stayed at this campground. It is very nice. This year it was a last minute pivot (long story) so we were unable to book the premium sites by the office. We had site 226 and it was closer to the beach so that was a plus. They were still cleaning up from a nor'easter so there was some debris around that they were cleaning up. No big deal. Our site did not offer a lot of shade and our awnings didn't help either. So I'd get a sight where your camper shields the sun. Centrally located to lots of things to do. Office staff very nice. We ended up having to evacuate because another nor'easter was coming in. Aww the adventure of RVing!

I love this spot, especially on October. We travel by RV, but there are plenty of cabin options for other family and friends to meet us there. This year we were chased out by a storm/mandatory evacuation, but staff handles the evacuation smoothly and refunds were given instantly. I try to come every year.
