We rented the deluxe cabin overlooking the ocean, and it was amazing, everyone was friendly and helpful and would definitely recommend anyone to stay there.

First time at OBX, First Family trip in an RV and it went really well! The KOA was Amazing it felt safe for the kids and they really enjoyed it! Kids ranging in age from 11 to 32 and all enjoyed the trip! They are already begging to return!

We had a Great stay. We started in a site that flooded after 2 days of strong winds and torrential rain. I requested a move to another site. The request was honored quickly, and we had no further issues. All of the facilities were clean, and there was plenty to do at the campground and in the surrounding area. We definitely will be returning.

Someone was Parked on our site when we arrived had to wait for them to be contacted before we could set up, was really hard getting out this year first time. Our cap now has some scrapes hopefully they come out and Roof is ok. Lastly I know accidents happen my son broke his leg Tuesday night on the bounce pillow had to go to ECU hospital which we were there a couple days, surgery rod in his leg.

The stay was great!! The only complaint that I have is when I went in the office/store to buy something and I didn’t see it so went to the counter and the two ladies did not acknowledge me for about 4 minutes because they were trying to figure out what cabin had a microwave or refrigerator. They kept going back and forth about it until I finally spoke up and then they acknowledged me.

We love the place. It's our second year in a row. The only disappointments were the grill & air conditioner. The air conditioner was fine until the mid afternoon heat then it was overwhelmed and couldn't keep the cabin cool. Needs replaced. The grill was broken last year. I told someone. It was very poorly repaired with a mesh grill sheet and is still broken. It needs replaced! It's a fire hazard!

Campground and facilities were clean but for the money the sites definitely could have been bigger they were by far the smallest KOA sites I have seen yet.

Love this campground and location! The men’s bathroom was completely closed the week we were there which led to more use and other bathrooms very used and dirty. Cabin had large palmetto bugs, staff was responsive to spraying but they kept coming. Heard this is common in obx? Despite these things will 100% be back again love coming yearly!

Please spray for mosquitos! They were really bad this year. Music played during the day near the pool should be "family friendly". The hot tub has loose tiles that need to be fixed. Would be nice if there was a filter put on the pump so we could hear the music not the scream of the hot tub. Also please fix the valves for the outdoor water showers. One of our kids cut their finger. thank you

Overall good place to stay. Discouraged that we were without water and when it was turned back on it had very low water pressure. Notice would have been appreciated for all campers.

Always have a great time here. We were in one of the older camping cabins. I get the rustic look but you need to replace the door with a real one. Ours had a big gap that allowed rain to come in during the bad storm Monday morning. Also, there were a couple of mornings when ALL bathrooms were closed for cleaning. Need to alternate so a couple are open. But, we do love this place.

My stay was okay, we upgraded to spot with a shade shelter only to find that there was no electric to the site. We were able to contact the after hours crew who did show up to fix it but a bit frustrating trying to get things set up in the dark until it was fixed. The new updated shower rooms are nice. However there seems to be a lot and I mean a lot of sand and hair all over the floors. Gross.

We have a 35 ft fifth wheel and this is asked on the reservation. They assigned us to site 207. This site should not be for this size trailer. We had to park the a little on the road and we were not able to get into the passenger side of the truck. This site should be for a trailer no more than 30 ft. The gentleman that escorted us in told us to make it work.

This trip wasnt that great, because of the weather, and the ants where really bad, I couldn't even keep food in my cabin. This is our family vacation and it wasn't that enjoyable this trip. Then the booking people charged my neice for my bill, it was humiliating sorting that out, so yeah This trip wasn't as enjoyable as the past. The pool was actually the only thing I enjoyed. Maybe next year

Cabin needed several repairs. Fridge had 3 door shelves...2 were missing. TV remote didnt work....massive mold on living room window....bath fan didn't work....bedroom door knob falling off....ant infestation throughout

We really love the place but would hope that a couple things could be addressed. The kids in scooters driving excessively; fast especially at night with no lights on was an issue for us. Our son got knocked over because they weren’t playing attention. Also our kids loved the events put on except one suggestion. Have more things that don’t cost money. That was a big downfall for us.

The lot could have been cleaned better … fire ring was moved around and several burn spots.. the grass was in need of cutting and should have been raked, plastic crushed toys I think they were on the pad not sure and children’s silicone doll clothing found. Hot tub always full of little kids …it’s a great family place for the kids … not so much for people without kids !

I enjoy staying here with my grandchildren because there's a lot to do. It's in a beautiful area and the pool is great. I love that they added a shaded area on the pool deck but it could use a few more for us non sun worshipers,lol. My only criticism is how the majority of sites are grass and wet a good portion of the time. Maybe add gravel for rvs and fill dirt for low areas.

This is just the most beautiful crampground with the friendliest staff. Great activities for the kids. Music was great. Wish we could stay forever! See you again next summer!

We had a great experience except for the burrs that stuck to our feet and our dog!! They r awful!!! Can something be done to get rid of them??

Beautiful location: stayed a few times since the 1990's. The campground has transitioned to permitting locals to use Tiki Bar & Tina's cafe but also the pool & grounds. In the pavilion, a local teen approached & asked for some of our dinner. Bar customers occupied the hot tub w/ open containers for hours. These were amenities paid for by the campers, not the locals. TY for considering my concerns

Rustic Cabin 508. It was the tightest site we’ve ever had at a KOA. Parking for this cabin wasn’t next to the cabin, which was inconvenient because we need to run electric to our vehicle to power the cooler. We didn’t have an outside electric box or water at the cabin. We ran electric from inside and water was across the way in a field. Cabin door had noticeable gaps. Loved Resort; Bad Sit

I lost m'y deposit because i had to move the date because m'y husband was SICK and unable to travel. Skienesse can not be prévient. We took a stay 3 Day after the real date . Not fun to pays twice.

Manager at Cape Hatteras KOA made us feel at home. She took care of our request and great communication she posted us timely updates. Best Manager at KOA! She should be promoted to regional Director!

Our refrigerator would not stay cold, the water in the shower would not stay warm and the mosquitoes were terrible. We have stayed before and never had issues with mosquitoes, in the past I remember they always sprayed for them.

Awesome stay, however something needs to be done with their pets. Our dogs were charged by off leash dogs while being walked as well as several dogs inside gates and on leashes at campsites. People should be held accountable for their constant barking and untrained dogs.

We had a wonderful stay for our first trip to the Outer Banks! The campground was very nice, our site was spacious. The staff was very friendly. We already booked for next year, and can’t wait to come back to OBX!

This is the second time we've stayed at this campground. It is very nice. This year it was a last minute pivot (long story) so we were unable to book the premium sites by the office. We had site 226 and it was closer to the beach so that was a plus. They were still cleaning up from a nor'easter so there was some debris around that they were cleaning up. No big deal. Our site did not offer a lot of shade and our awnings didn't help either. So I'd get a sight where your camper shields the sun. Centrally located to lots of things to do. Office staff very nice. We ended up having to evacuate because another nor'easter was coming in. Aww the adventure of RVing!

I love this spot, especially on October. We travel by RV, but there are plenty of cabin options for other family and friends to meet us there. This year we were chased out by a storm/mandatory evacuation, but staff handles the evacuation smoothly and refunds were given instantly. I try to come every year.
