Loved our site; next time we will request being near couples only. The family we had next to us on Friday until we left were loud, messy, littered and language was foul.

I had a great time. My room was very nice and I loved having a view of The Sound! The Sunrise was beautiful.

It was awesome! Despite the steps washing away in a recent storm. Access to the beach was still accessible. The waves were great. And the staff and amenities were great to! We will back again in the fall.

The main bed in 1503 is terrible. Didn't sleep well for 3 nights but the bunks weren't much better. Had a non working grill and the lady i called about it was rude, but the maintenance man was very kind when he came over and replaced it. There were mishaps in the stay that werent KOAs fault, like the fire ban,but the stay was so nice overall. I'll come back, but be sure to not get the unit again.

10s all around we love the outer banks the staff are always friendly and helpful I have to mention that the cable is the worst that we have ever seen no tv our entire stay they have to replace the whole system really couldn’t stream the internet is poor at best hopefully they will fix both of these issues when we return

Would’ve been a full 10 score. It wasn’t so darn windy. Not your fault, but it goes. It was unfortunate that the stairway to the ocean had washed out, but Sasha was very accommodating to offer some compensation agreeable to us both for the inconvenience. My thought was that if the damage had occurred prior to our arrival, we should’ve been told. As.senior citizens it is difficult to climb du

Wonderful place. Beautiful area and accommodations with friendly staff.

Very friendly staff.

Overall, this KOA is amazing and all staff is friendly. There were some weather related issues that impacted my stay such as no fires at any campsites and beach access was past campground to neighboring beach access area that would have led me to choosing an alternative accommodation had I known this ahead of time. Also, why can't we choose the coastal cabin on a map to show location at booking?

Camp Staff were very kind and helpful and answered all my questions about the park and the surrounding area. Love that there is a "General Store" on-site to pick up extra items without having to drive anywhere. I love the Hot Tub/Pool Area for relaxing after a day's excursions up and down the Outer Banks. Bathrooms/Showers were always clean when I went and there was always an available room.

Enjoyed our stay. Check-in was quick and easy. The KOA staff provided all of the information needed.

The perfect campgrounds for families on the Outer Banks! My son didn't want to leave the playground and trampoline! Cape Hatteras KOA is gonna be my go to campground whenever I go camping at the OBX!!

Was disappointed that beach access was closed, but other than that had a good time

The cabins were cozy, perfect for what we needed and very well located to everything. The cafe was amazing, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. We already started planning our next trip up there before we even left!

The beachside spots are premium priced but other than the location, they were not well kept. The pads were not level and pretty broken up. The swimming pool was great and the staff was nice.

Very nice. Hope to be back someday.

Overall it was great. We really enjoyed the amenities like the pool and the hot tub and the bouncing pillow, as well as the acess to the beach. We had called to confirm that our camping cabin would have a mini fridge, and were suprised when we arrived that ours did not have one because it was a 6 person camping cabin. Also, that bathrooms really needed to be cleaned much, much more frequently.

We were backed up to the dunes and steps away from access to the beach. We got up in the morning to watch the sun rise and then after dinner walked over the road to watch the sunset

We had a great time, we loved having beach acess, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and the breakfast food at Tina's is delicious! My one complaint would be that the bathrooms were definitely not cleaned on a daily basis, other than that, I would still recommend this campground.

NO INTERNET at our site! My wife teaches a college level course online. We needed to go to office building lounge which did have quick connect service. Also, without internet at our site the new smart TV in our RV was of no use. Our extended stay encountered high winds and storm for the first two days. This caused erosion, losing walkways. We never set foot on the beach. A one day !0% was offered

Came in not knowing what to expect and was highly satisfied with our stay and campsite. Especially appreciated the escort service to our site. Lots of options for those not using a camper too and right on the ocean! Would recommend this campground.

Enjoyed our stay. Bathroom and shower were clean, although the shower #1 didn’t have anywhere to put your stuff when showering, need shelf but noticed the others had a chair. The laundry worked great, no problems. A little difficult to get to beach need to have boardwalk to get down for older people but otherwise ok. Would definitely come back.

We had a great stay. We loved how close to the beach we were. We could also walk across the street to watch the sunset as well. The pool area was as nice. The new beach steps also were great. It would be great if you could add a bike rack near the beach area close to the entrance and bathroom area.

shower ran out of hot water; 88 degrees in bathhouse. two access points to the beach were closed. the one access they had was rented out to someone, so it is rude to cut through people's camp sites. Went out of park to beach. No car parking at pool/hot tube only for golf carts. The bed in the cabin was uncomfortable you could feel the bed slates.

Sasha, Ashley and Cody - your hard work is paying off. Huge improvements since I was there last. You should be proud!

We were led to our site with the person wanting us to turn way too tight for a big rig and then, had us headed into the pull through in the wrong direction. So instead of a very easy pull through, we got routed around the park and got a scratch on our rig from the trees. Tight roads with big rocks you are supposed to drive over when you turn--no thanks!

Our stay was really good. We enjoyed the campground. We usually are in our travel trailer, however, this trip was going to be more comfortable in a cabin where all the family could fit. The cabin was clean and convenient to everything. The only thing was the weather which is beyond everyone's control. It was windy all week which means we will have to plan a return trip for fishing.

First time staying at the cottage always stayed at the glamping tent .. I thought it be a little more cleaner there was dog nose markings on the door and window in the loft that was never cleaned. Also I wish for more younger kid friendly time on the bounce pad alot of older & larger kids were on there throwing rubber mulch and throwing a football hitting other guest to the point it became unsafe

Very nice and clean camp ground only bad thing is there isn’t a lot to do outside of the camp ground

Stayed in deluxe cabin with 2 Grand Daughters. They loved the playground, marshmallow pad, pool and mining. Can’t wait to come back soon

We had an excellent site that we had paid extra to reserve. Unfortunately Mother Nature created a problem with beach access and we met every beach goer that came through our site. Most were respectful and acknowledge that they were going through our quiet spot but some came through with bikes, dogs, and all their beach equipment with no regards for our privacy. Info a check in would have helped.

Updates to beach access were appreciated. A notice of the burn ban would've helped. Also, the area for the dump station has too much of a small hump. Essentially, when pulled up to use, the rv is tilted forward prohibiting all the fluids to escape, some remains trapped in the low area of the tanks.

Everyone at the campgrounds was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was excellent and the daily maintenance of the grounds was good. Layout was fine, although a bit cramped in some locations. Not the KOA’s fault, but the wind was a big downer on the camping experience… outside personal property had to be secured/stowed, awnings retracted, and a fire ban was in effect the entire week. Beach accesses were washed out due to the wind as well.

We got 2 sites and tent camped here for 2 nights with 5 kids and 6 adults, including my elderly parents. Everyone enjoyed the trip. Beach during the day and pool time in the evening was great! The kids had a blast on the Glow Train. Our sites were thankfully next to each other and had a fire pit, grill, water, electric and picnic table with a cover. We'll be back!

Site 100 was pretty neat to people watch at the beach access. Not intrusive, but tje sewer hook up there was a challenge. High of our RV was not compatible with the hookup, but we made it work. Lots of activities and great pool and music. Beach areas are receding so be prepared for high tide when you set up out there.

The campground has a variety of arrangements including small cabins, dog areas, covered picnic areas on individual camp spot. It has a pool, hot tub volleyball sand area all that I didn't use. There is a small store where you check in. They also cook on site. They have activities during the day: bingo, train rides for kids, karaoke etc. The campground doesn't back up to the beach; its more like a narrow shoreline. The current access to this is a series of narrow multiple level steps. How would anyone be able to carry cooler, chair, towels etc down to just gaze at the water seems unsafe. I didn't see anyone do that. Instead I had to travel to visited another beach. People friendly. Bathrooms were alright. They also have washer/dryers (didn't use). The parking areas are mostly gravel. It has rain before I got there and some places had pools of water. It was nice to hear the ocean sounds at night when it got dark and quite. There was a nice breeze during my entire trip.
