First time at a KOA and it won’t be our last! Never really considered going to one as we generally prefer state parks. I really felt that we got a lot for what we paid and our family had a blast!going to another KOA in a couple months!

We always have a great time at your KOA and look forward to our next visit. The bathrooms around the campground need cleaning and repair. Our August stay is late in the busy season, so I am sure the tidal-wave of guests took a toll on the facilities. In the off-season, be sure to fix the plumbing. I found several showers, bathroom stalls, and the fishing station out of order.

Every person that worked there, you could tell enjoyed their job. It was so nice there were such family friendly activities, we loved it. A very clean campground that was well maintained.

Our 7 day stay was amazing. The staff is top notch and friendly. Camp ground was always clean .this is our goto camp ground

The campground itself was amazing. Updated, clean, and many fun activities! loved the beach access and campground amenities. Cabins were extremely dingy especially considering cost and state of the rest of the campground. Cabins had clogged sink, all kitchen drawers were broken, upholstery on couch was all torn off, stained bedding, etc. kitchen table and chairs didn't allow you to open fridge

Amazing stay!! The campground is very nice, we loved the cabins ! The beach is near and so is the sunsets right across the street! The pool is big and a lot of activities for everyone are proposed. We’ll definitively come back !!

It was one of the best KOA stays we have had.The accommodations were lovely and the cafe food was excellent.The staff was very kind and the activities were very well planned for the kids. We loved the Tiki bar and the music. Your staff was top notch!!The only recommendations we have are a cleaner shower area and the lots we were parked by looked like long term and we’re were an eye sore.

The staff was very friendly. Someone took me to my site and helped me back in. That was a nice touch. The sites were very crowded. We were along the dunes. It’s like 205. There was a dead rat behind my camper. There were several dirty Q-tips Near my shade shack. This is not the fault of KOA but the area where the dogs use. The potty was disgusting. People do not clean up appropriately.

We stayed 9 days, was very nice. Loved how pet friendly it is. Bathhouse is nice when you have 4 people getting ready in a camper. Great location for sunrise and sunset.

Everything was absolutely brilliant, except for the state of the bathrooms in the center of the campground. They should be cleaned more often. The biggest issue for me was the lack of RECYCLING! For an area which prides itself in its natural beauty, I had to throw away a ridiculous amount of plastic, as I didn't have room to take it with me. PLEASE RECTIFY! I FELT TERRIBLE! Otherwise, fabulous!

Chose this CG for our extended family's vacation Plenty of activities for all! Large sites! Underage electric cart drivers made walking at night especially at night tricky.

We liked the cabin and all the activities for the kids. Loved easy access to beach, pool, playground and jump pad. With the bathrooms being used by so many they need to be cleaned more than once a day.

Absolutely love the location and vibe of this KOA. Stayed in a ocean front deluxe cabin for 2 nights. Cabin itself needs some love and updating ,rest of the koa seems to be in great condition. Would not chose the ocean front cabin again, based on nightly price and what the actual accommodation is.

Location was nice, however, this park should not be listed as a resort or charge as such. Just having a cafe does not make a resort. Sites are very tight and close, barley had room for my RV and towed. Used the laundry and was really disappointed. Very dirty only one dryer working others broken and appears all are on the last leg. The only thing it really has going for it was the beach.

Two problems I see with this campground. Becoming very expensive to stay there. And I have expressed before, , you need to get control of the golf cart situation. Under age children operating them. Operating wrecklessly and driving too fast.

My wife & I stayed for a week, wish we would have stayed another week. Great resort & location right on the Atlantic with a beautiful beach to walk, play in the waves, or simply relax. The pool area & Tiki Bar were great, our kudos to Jim. yes, the Tiki bombs are a hit. Only thing, next year is full service site! Our stay was great. However my family stayed in cabins ones with no bathrooms and said how disgusting the bathrooms and showers were. Looks like they were never cleaned and smelled so bad. Unfortunately they will never be back. We on the other hand loved our site whoever need to be cut in the back of the dune sites.

Great, nice clean grassy site. Just walk to beach and swim. All the bath and shower houses air conditioned, trash pick up at your site, we loved our stay. Only thing I did not like was it seamed every other camper had a dog or dogs, a little too pet friendly for me but campers kept them well cared for with no barking and cleaned up.

We have been coming to KOA for 10+ years. We love the campground and staff! I was a bit discouraged that the hot tub wasn't working again. Unfortunately, my KOA rewards cannot keep up with the changes/increases in pricing. I feel it's bad business for those committed to a full week in your deluxe pull thru w/patio sites to have the nightly rates change according to the day of the week.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing campground. Beach is just a few steps away. Bathhouse and showers convenient to clean up from beach. Gorgeous large swimming pool in other direction. Children and adults can both enjoy. I wanted to stay forever. Everyone I met was smiling and happy. Will be back for more fun in the sun.

We had a wonderful time at the KOA in Hatteras, it was our first trip there and we will be coming back for sure. I did feel the campsite are right on top of each other and our grass area was over grown. We did see someone cutting grass as people left, so maybe it was just missed in between leaving & coming. The activities were great and the staff was great at regulating the kids & teenagers.

I was there for a property inspection, and sadly, not for a stay, but it's a nice place. Cabins to rent, a great pool, snack bar, very clean, very neat, and from a professional standpoint, very safe.

Camped with friends and kids in mid September, and the campground was absolutely perfect. It was very quiet at night, you can hear ocean waves crashing while you sleep in your tent. Campground is very kid and toddler friendly, with many activities through the day, in addition to a very large pool, playground, and a jumping pillow, which all adults enjoyed as well. Having a pool side restaurant and bar made it very easy to feed tired hungry kids without ever leaving the water. Front office staff were friendly and helpful. Bathhouses and grounds are kept very clean. We will definitely be back many more times!

Beautiful location. Probably the best in Buxton. Simple, basic, no frills accommodation. You pay for the location. You can hear the ocean at night. Beautiful sun rise. Accommodations need some upgrades and renovations. Especially the water supply that has a weird smell and taste. But you cant beat the location.
