Enjoyed our stay but sites are a little tight for the prices we paid. Holiday weekend or not $215 per night is crazy. But we paid and tried somewhere new. But love the concrete area with chairs and fire pit.

We only had two issues with our stay the bathrooms are disgusting. Camp ground or not they should be being cleaned daily with all the people staying there. One shower stall was covered in feces! We used the same stall the three days and the same pant liner, glob of hair were still there. Also we had a family get there at 9pm to set up there tent with high beams right in our face for almost 2 hour!

The employees were wonderful, we had a hurricaine, and everyone was so understanding and helpful. The place is clean and amazing. Wonderfull place to stay and visit.

My stay at KOA Cape Hatteras was nothing short of spectacular! I traveled there with my boyfriend to stay in the cabins for a week and enjoy a much needed vacation. During our time there he proposed (I said YES!). The cabin and amenities were great, the campground was very clean, and there were constant activities to do. The KOA staff were very friendly and helpful as well. See you next year!

The RV sites were OK but not cleaned to arrival, and the cabin we rented it had nothing but issues

Traveled with 3 other couples. We booked for 3 nights - Hurricane Idalia decided to make an entrance so we decided to leave early - KOA refunded our last night - no problems. This campground has a Beautiful Pool area - and it’s right on the beach. Sad we had to leave early. We had a great time.

Our stay was great. The KOA had awesome amenities and the staff was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The beach access was perfect. We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay at the KOA.

Great visit, very professional staff. Beach a two minute walk. Hurricane threw us a curve ball, but stuff happens. We will be back!

We had a great visit! Pool is clean and big enough to not be bothered by others. Beach is amazing! Had fun at the Tiki bar and the front desk and store personnel were the best! Thanks! We already booked for next summer!!

Best KOA we’ve stayed at. The staff was amazing in every way. The grounds were clean, the staff again was amazing. We had a spot by the dunes. Just a great KOA all around.

The campground was amazing. We loved everything about it. The beach was perfect. The pool and tiki bar was phenomenal and all the activities kept my kids busy all week. Special thanks to all the staff who were exceptional! The girl at the tiki bar service skills and personality was simply the best around. The activity staff kept us busy all week. Thank you all!! Can’t wait to come again.

The staff was very friendly very helpful. Lundry room in the center camp ground had 6 broken units main lundry everythin was working but the floors were dirty the washing machines were filthy hadent been cleaned for sometime. we cleand up trash and etc. Lots were just ok large gravel hard to walk on no pads for the rig or tables not as nice as I thought a KOA was supposed to be. :/

Loved our stay this year. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the grounds are well maintained and clean. Bathrooms needed more attention a couple times but just a small thing. We love the Hatteras KOA and appreciate all the work done to make it a wonderful experience.

This was my second time staying here and I absolutely love this campground. We stayed in the camping cabins. Very comfortable and convenient. I really enjoyed all the activities the campground has going on. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. Will definitely be back!!

Had a great time this past week at OBX KOA. Staff was always nice and helpful. Pool was great. Hot tub looked a little cloudy though. One suggestion as I stayed in site 109, the shade shelters are a great thing, but it would make things a whole lot easier to get the campers in the sites against the dunes if they were toward the back of the sites. It is already tight backing in those sites.

Overall, very nice until you look at the details. The absolute worst thing was the cleaning and upkeep of the bath house and bathrooms, they were not cleaned often enough or not at all and in one bath house had 6 out of the 8 showers out of order, how is it possible at the rates they charge to have 75% of the showers not working, pretty unacceptable.

Cabin 513. A mouse got into our food the first night. When we were leaving I found a marshmallow under one of the beds from a previous camper. Our biggest concern was the bathhouse near the cabins. None of them were clean. The section with multiple showers had several out of order the first night. When we left on Monday they were all out of order and the place smelled strongly of sewage.

The shower area was not working except for one room and that was filthy. There were clumps of human hair, dirt and no toilet paper.When door on our cabin was closed there was a half inch gap. Was bitten by a bee during the night that could have come in through that gap. Very expensive for low quality.

The bath/toilet facilities are filthy.They were clean on the same day some KOA inspectors were on the premises and maybe 3 other times;long term campers have to beg to have sites mowed;sewer system had the middle bath house stinking for many weeks until campers requested help;people cutting thru occupied sites; beach accesses need repairs/sand removal. Not very impressive this year at all.

The bath house in the middle of the park was disgustingly filthy, there is black mold on the ceilings and walls and rotting around the floors. For the amount of money charged they should be pristine and mold free.we will think twice about returning.

We stayed last week and the weather was perfect every day. When we checked in I realized I didn’t book a full hook up, they upgraded our campsite no problem, which made all the difference! Every time we stay here it just gets better. I love the activities that they have for kids and the detailed schedule they send out so you don’t miss a thing. Definitely a 10/10!

We’ve been coming here for the last 4 years but this year we were not impressed. All the bathhouses were VERY dirty - and majority of the showers out of order at the one by our site. (10/12 out of order). The hot tub was not working-but open- so it was gross. It seemed like the activities for kids have changed. More often than not they were not free as they were before. Not a great experience.

Great place for a family vacation even with 2 teen kids…we all enjoyed our time there together off our devices for 4 entire days. Much needed family togetherness vacation highly recommended!! Hope to be back next year.

We had a great weekend stay at the KOA. Small, quiet, and well taken care of. The pool was fantastic. My only suggestion there would be to have something to provide some shade. The beach are was nice and it was great having a bathroom right there. Suggestion for this area would be to remove the deep sand along the boardwalk area, it is also not handicap friendly at all. Staff was very friendly.

We LOVEEEEEE the Outer Banks KOA! The staff makes you feel like family, and the resort has everything you need on campus. The beach is just over the dunes. It's heaven on earth and we are going to make this a yearly ritual to go here every summer!

The cabin was filthy. There was urine stains on the bunk beds, there were ants by the couch and kitchen sink. There was some kind of food debris stuck under the couch. (A white sticky substance) , the floors were sticky and dirty. It seems every time we stay it gets worse.

like always the staff made me feel right at home and went out of the way to make sure my stay was the best it could be. i was disappointed the the rates had gone up quite a bit, not sure if i will be able to stay as offften as i use to, but like i say its always a great stay and i will return as much as i can. the staff is the BEST thank you all

The staff was very nice, fun daily activities. But, the grounds were not maintained well. The bushes were grown over the sidewalk to the bathroom, weeds grown up everywhere, some cabin railings were half rotted away. Went 12 hours without toilet paper in the ladies bathhouse, after telling staff there was none at 8am, had to call after hours at 8-830pm for TP. There was more but no room to finish.

Added two new photos, well a photo and a video of the beach while being ravaged be tropical storm Ophelia. We hunkered down and made it through. The campground was back in full operation the next day. --------------------------- Great beach KOA. Has nice pool, and play equipment for kids. Good clean modern bath houses w/laundry. Easy beach access regardless of your site location. Also has rental cabins in case you are a non-RVer or ⛺. Great service staff. They even pick up your trash from your site daily.
