The Cape Hatteras KOA is our family's favorite place to visit each summer. The campground has excellent amenities and lots of activities for kids. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

We didn't know what to expect with camping at the beach but we had a blast. This resort is top notch, clean and everyone was extremely friendly. The camground was safe for kids to play. The pool was huge and never felt crowded. The store has most things you could need with a cafe on-site you literally don't have to leave for anything. We loved everything about it and will certainly be back!

We sure enjoyed our stay!!! The site was by far the best, and the dog pen was well liked by our dogs. From the beach to the pool, staff members were always smiling, and definitely love what they do. We booked the same site again for next year!!!!

It was a shaky start. I think with a little effort from the staff we could have gotten off to a better start. The kitchen was well supplied and had nice appliances. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. (upgrade the pillows). I also think for $300 a night there should've been Wifi and something other than coax cable for TV reception. We weren't able to watch TV at all b/c of the poor signal.

There were ants all over. We didn’t have cable TV for a day and a half. The activities were very good for kids and bounce pad, pool and close ocean were a plus

Very nice site, almost perfectly level. Lots of activities. Our dogs enjoyed being in their pet pen. Appreciated the short walk to be on the beach!

The entire week was perfect and exactly what was needed. Deluxe cabin had everything you need. Great view from any side. Really enjoyed the rocking chairs. Very much appreciated the texts to let us know of events and storm emergencies. The staff was over the top friendly and really helpful. Our last night was really great, hot tub in the rain! We will be back

Our 3rd time coming back to Cape Hatteras KOA and we will plan a trip again in the future. By far, the best KOA we have ever experienced. Being right on the beach, less commercialized area is the perfect combination. We recommend this campground to anyone we talk to about camping. Thanks for another amazing vacation!

Staff very friendly. Facility has improved since our prior stay 3 years ago. Grounds still need much work. Potholes everywhere. Buildings still need investment. Wi-Fi virtually useless even at sites near main building. Fresh paint on aged materials does not make them new. Location in fantastic. That is the real draw. Will try again in a couple of years to see if things continue to improve

The only thing was that we were told that the glamping tent had dishes with cutlery but when we got there, we found out that none of that was there. The front office did accommodate us and let us borrow some for the week, but the website should be specific about what is there and what is not there.

Staff and amenities great, sizable clean bathrooms. Multiple segment dog park terrific. Big drawback is density and space size. Small lots, feel on top of each other. Would it hurt to eliminate some spots and make them more spacious?

We had a great time at KOA Hatteras. Very family friendly. All the facilities were clean. They have so many activities put together for the kids. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the oceanfront cottage. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable and a perfect weekend getaway

It was very cost-effective, as we used the cabin just to sleep, but we had access to the pool, BBQ, campfire, activities, etc., and visited different beaches and attractions. The only problem was some bed bugs biting my kids. Now we have to prevent the bugs from infesting my house.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this KOA. We have been to many different ones and thsi is by far our favorite. Stayed in a rustic cabin, used the shower houses which were so clean, pool/hottub awesome. Best part beach is dog friendly and able to have fires on the beach! Can't wait to return next year!

I picked up my cabin slip it had someone else’s last name on it. They did not verify any of my information when we checked in. Upon arrival to the cabin the cabin was found unlocked, the toilet handle was broken after a first night it was discovered that the ac in the main bedroom was broken. The next morning we informed the staff and they said that they would inform maintenance, wasn’t fixed.

We usually stay 2 times a year but this time I was really disappointed in all the golf carts and motorized scooters. On several occasions I was walking my 3 year old grandson and nearly got wiped out with children and their electric scooters going way too fast. In my opinion these should not be allowed. Too reckless

We were there for five nights. We enjoyed wood fires, the ocean, the swimming pool, the tiki bar, the kids train, the Derby drawing ducks. A good time was hand by all!

I come once a month, especially in the warmer months. I love the coastal cabins. The staff is very friendly. The activities are fun. The beach is the best, of course.

My family had an amazing time! There was ALWAYS something going on at the pool. Great amenities, clean bathrooms, oceanfront and access to the Pamlico Sound for sunsets, this KOA had it all! It was the perfect family getaway for my family.

Stayed on padded tent site and it rained so got a little soggy for us. The location is prime near the beach. Staff is friendly, cafe was nice. Bathrooms were ok I guess, loose toilet seats and piles of sand brought in from beachgoers. Some folks are just animals so not blaming koa for that.

It’s beautiful there and will be back but I feel the need to mention that the bathrooms were in need of repair and better cleaning and the relaxing hot tub they mentioned is actually a kiddie pool with babies in diapers and toddlers sticky popsicles �Ͻ

400 characters isn't enough. Pocket door off railing, table leg broken off, TV's with grainy image (no cable), shelf on fridge door had bar missing, 2 outlets not working, outdoor chair arm broke off, and key to lock/unlock had 2b vigorously jiggled to work. Spent too much of my vacation waiting on maintenance to fix things & not everything was fixed. Been coming 4 over 10 yrs will not be back.

This was our first stay here and it was fantastic. The club house/pool/hot tub area was really good but the access to the beach was even better. A major bonus was the K9 area because it’s one of the best seen at a KOA. It’s huge with 3 sections plus a water station. My 2 labs had plenty of running room plus they loved the beach. We will definitely be back.

Overall had a great time! Plenty of activities through out the week to keep kids/ adults entertained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only real problems that we found were that sites were not very big, especially to have a fire ring in ithem, our neighbors would light theirs’ and it was only 15 ft from our camper. The roads were narrow which makes any kind of passing difficult

Very friendly staff. My mom had an emergency and the staff was so helpful. Several stopped by to see how she was the next day. Park was kept clean. Bath house very nice.

We had the best stay in the deluxe oceanview cabin. It was a treat to wake up to the beautiful ocean and dunes. KOA continues to impress us with the clean facilities, safe environment, and plentiful activities for kids. We look forward to visiting again next summer!

Stayed in a deluxe cabin. The air conditioners both had black mold growing in them. Other than that everything was fine.

We have stayed at the Cape Hatteras KOA many times. This time our trip was planned with less lead time, we ended up in a site with a low spot. Luckily we didn’t have much rain during our visit, if we had gotten much rain we would have had a deep puddle as we got off the steps from, out camper.

We got 2 sites and tent camped here for 2 nights with 5 kids and 6 adults, including my elderly parents. Everyone enjoyed the trip. Beach during the day and pool time in the evening was great! The kids had a blast on the Glow Train. Our sites were thankfully next to each other and had a fire pit, grill, water, electric and picnic table with a cover. We'll be back!

Site 100 was pretty neat to people watch at the beach access. Not intrusive, but tje sewer hook up there was a challenge. High of our RV was not compatible with the hookup, but we made it work. Lots of activities and great pool and music. Beach areas are receding so be prepared for high tide when you set up out there.

The campground has a variety of arrangements including small cabins, dog areas, covered picnic areas on individual camp spot. It has a pool, hot tub volleyball sand area all that I didn't use. There is a small store where you check in. They also cook on site. They have activities during the day: bingo, train rides for kids, karaoke etc. The campground doesn't back up to the beach; its more like a narrow shoreline. The current access to this is a series of narrow multiple level steps. How would anyone be able to carry cooler, chair, towels etc down to just gaze at the water seems unsafe. I didn't see anyone do that. Instead I had to travel to visited another beach. People friendly. Bathrooms were alright. They also have washer/dryers (didn't use). The parking areas are mostly gravel. It has rain before I got there and some places had pools of water. It was nice to hear the ocean sounds at night when it got dark and quite. There was a nice breeze during my entire trip.
