Had a great time despite some less than favorable weather, we were able to find some sunshine and catch a couple of sunsets on the sound. We love this little slice of heaven and the Coastal Cottage had exactly what we needed. Only note is that the ac seemed to have some mold on it very minimal but it was definitely there. We loved the porch area and separate fire pit.

This was our 2nd RV trip and we didn't have a vehicle. I am handicapped and the walking distance from my RV site (401) to the office/store and the pool would have been difficult so I didn't go. I appreciate the staff delivering ice and firewood. But we did have a great time. We will be back.

Pleasantly surprised that my 'rustic' cabin had electric outlets, air, a light, and even a mini fridge. Multiple events daily. Bathrooms reasonably clean. Construction on units next to mine meant it was very loud from ~8am-6pm Saturday and Sunday. Saws, nail guns, hammering, etc. Won't last forever but should warn guests ahead of time. Would have been upset if I'd planned a campfire or sleeping in

Great time, friendly service, good amenities only issue I had was with the mattress on the bed in the cabin. It was extremely thin and uncomfortable outside of that, It was good.

The KOA is really nice; love the convenience of the beach, pool, Tina's Cafe etc. Lots to do for kids and grown ups alike. The only draw back would be TV/internet. We basically had none the whole time, which is fine because we dont come to watch TV, but at night kids enjoy it to settle down and relax

A very well maintained campground with a staff that is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our fellow campers were all very friendly. The weather during this trip was the only downside with high winds and mostly cloudy skies until our last day. We are now planning our return trip for next year Live the Hatteras KOA

The Deluxe cabin is really nice! We never have to worry about buying an RV!

Nice staff and lots to do. The pool was nice and clean. Campground was pretty full and the sites were very close together. We were closer to the beach so the Wifi did not work where we were. We would stay again.

You are the best koa in the country. Best location, reasonable price, friendly service, swimming pool. Thanks

The location is great, the customer service is 5 star. However, the sites backed up to the Dunes are really too narrow- difficult to back trailer into and, with slider out, just too close together. Neighbors sewer was only a couple feet from our fire ring.

The campground had tons of activities for everyone. Right on the ocean, huge pool, playgrounds, bounce pad, store, cafe, tiki bar, dog park and the list goes on. The variety of housing is amazing from tents to cabins to RVs to hotel type rooms above the main activity building. There was several bath houses and laundry room. Very clean. They staff was very helpful and friendly.

Excellent activities for kids. Only 1 beach access available and pretty steep stairs. Other access was closed and looks like it would not be as steep if opened. We paid for a premium site that was near some older rusted permanent units. Location of fire pit was super close to the next site. While there staff communicated well via text. Garbage pickup and firewood delivery was great.

I had a power issue which I brought to the attention of a man driving in a cart with a yellow shirt. He didn’t check anything just told me it was my camper. Spent the first hot as I had no AC. Spent the whole second day calling to get it looked at and fixed. Ended up buying a new power cord and nothing. Only to find out when the MEN around me complained when they checked in. It was actually off!

We had a great time visiting your location for the week. All the staff were friendly and professional. The facility was always clean, and there were a ton of activities/events. We have already planned our next stay with you and have recommended to friends and family.

The staff was amazing and super friendly, the cabin was perfect - clean and great spot on the location and my girls loved our stay! There were so many amenities available to the kiddos that they enjoyed. I will be back next year for another stay.

I want to give a shout out to all the staff members I encountered throughout our stay. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful with every question I had and made my stay very enjoyable. The bath houses were quite nice, and the campground is what you would expect from a true resort. Beautiful location and we will definitely be back soon.

We really appreciate the kind staff at the Cape Hatteras KOA. Our scheduled room had an issue with the air conditioning the night we arrived and they promptly found us a new room to address the issue. We loved the events and the great location of this campground.

After hooking up the water it smelled so bad like rotten eggs and it set off our LP/Carbon Monoxide detector and was even cloudy when put in a Britta water filter. Also after scanning for TV channels the only thing that came through was a snowy picture and several of my neighbors said the same thing. I left and went to the KOA in New Bern and have good water and over 50 TV channels clear as a bell

Pretty sure this is the happiest place on earth not Disney! It is like being on a cruise, activities all day and such a fun, friendly, energetic campground. The vibe here is vacay and wether you are here for a short stay or a long one that is what it truly feels like

Love the location but no ramp for wagons or handicap accessible to the beach lots of stairs. We had a room above office wasn't clean dirty spots on the bathroom mirror. Food under and in cough. Next to the garbage can was old Mac and cheese that sat there for two days before it was picked up.

Always a pleasure to stay at a KOA. Have travelled from east coast to west coast staying in KOA’s and they are neat , clean and a friendly staff. The Cape Hatteras KOA need to give the man that does the train a raise, he is great and the kids love him.

Very nice clean bathrooms, lovely pool area and even though our children are grown, there are so many things to keep them busy. Lots of activities for adults too. Awesome campground!

Really exciting for first time KOA campers. Never knew how much you guys have to offer. Thanks, we'll definitely be back.

We got 2 sites and tent camped here for 2 nights with 5 kids and 6 adults, including my elderly parents. Everyone enjoyed the trip. Beach during the day and pool time in the evening was great! The kids had a blast on the Glow Train. Our sites were thankfully next to each other and had a fire pit, grill, water, electric and picnic table with a cover. We'll be back!

Site 100 was pretty neat to people watch at the beach access. Not intrusive, but tje sewer hook up there was a challenge. High of our RV was not compatible with the hookup, but we made it work. Lots of activities and great pool and music. Beach areas are receding so be prepared for high tide when you set up out there.

The campground has a variety of arrangements including small cabins, dog areas, covered picnic areas on individual camp spot. It has a pool, hot tub volleyball sand area all that I didn't use. There is a small store where you check in. They also cook on site. They have activities during the day: bingo, train rides for kids, karaoke etc. The campground doesn't back up to the beach; its more like a narrow shoreline. The current access to this is a series of narrow multiple level steps. How would anyone be able to carry cooler, chair, towels etc down to just gaze at the water seems unsafe. I didn't see anyone do that. Instead I had to travel to visited another beach. People friendly. Bathrooms were alright. They also have washer/dryers (didn't use). The parking areas are mostly gravel. It has rain before I got there and some places had pools of water. It was nice to hear the ocean sounds at night when it got dark and quite. There was a nice breeze during my entire trip.
