Campfires on the beach are a must experience! It’s a great location to just relax. Felt like a resort but with your camper! Although they have cabins aplenty for those without. Chances of rain pass quickly but it’s windy all the time. Beach gets more crowded but plenty of space if you walk down a bit - waves can be rough so parents just be aware. Staff super friendly!

We did not get text messages for the events each day for kids and the paper given was so small a print it was hard to read.

We stayed for the weekend in a premium camping cabin (no bathroom). We enjoyed the amenities at the camp ground. My son especially enjoyed the pool and the jumping balloon pad. Being located in Rodanthe, the campground is in a good central location to visit the whole of the Outer Banks. Would definitely stay again!

The Outer Banks KOA always provides a relaxing opportunity for us. We put our kayaks in the sound a few times and spent time in the hot tub. The sunsets are beautiful from the pier in the sound. Additionally, the wifi in the campground is excellent.

Great location, central to anything you want to do on the outer banks! They do pack them in and sites are tight but otherwise we had a great stay!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The campground has plenty of activities with a very large pool, and hot tub that is well kept. We really enjoyed the Tiki Bar next to the pool. The best part is having access to the beach from inside the campground.

I love the facility and amnesties. The tiki bar and pool are awesome My only complaint is that it was way to crowded a little more space between campsites would have been nice. It was very difficult getting in and out of my space

This was our first visit with a KOA. My family was so impressed and happy with all of the events & accommodations. Despite the rain, my kids want to know when we are coming back! KOA OBX Rodanthe is going to become an annual tradition.

Stay was great love all the activities, how close the beach is, all the amenities. We stayed in hotel floors were sticky, the ceiling fans caked with dust. Could be cleaner. I’d suggest a quarterly deep clean of all rooms.

First time KOA campground campers here. Next time would book FHU. Bathhouse was clean and fine to utilize but kids prefer our own space. maintain the grounds alittle more (ie: grass being cut and holes throughout gravel pathways filled.) The golf cart we rented was pretty basic but could use some TLC. The electrical plug was very junky and wouldnt charge on all electricall outlets

Lousy Wi-Fi! For $200 per night, I at least expected decent wi-fi. Signal was so low at our site none of our devices (Laptop, Tablet, the TV and our cellphones) could connect. If Wi-Fi is important to you, this is not the place. Had to use our cellphone (5 bars) hotspots. Apparently, you are only paying for the location. Great beach and good amenities. Nice pool.

Sites along the beach need to be upgraded. Appears to be older blacktop as pad and is breaking up. Also I was able to mitigate ants invading our RV but would advise some pest control where there are visible ant hills and carpenter nests in old wood fencing. Beach definitely needs fortified.

I have camped at this KOA numerous times. The staff is always a pleasure to deal with and the amenities and activities for families and children are first glass. Always something going on to keep the little ones occupied.

Arrived after hours and the key was not left in the box. It was 8:10 so we were able to locate an employee. Visited the bathhouse around 9:00. I fell and hit ground missed bottom step. I was holding the rail. I feel like there was not appropriate lighting. In a lot of pain during night. Packed up in morning and went to urgent care. Office refunded 3 of our 4 night stay.

We really enjoyed the covered shelter. We stayed on a pull thru patio lot and it was great. I was glad we were not on the patio lots on 400…. I assume that area may be for your employees but it really needs to be cleaned up. That area is the only reason I didn't rate the park as a 5. We loved the pool but you do need additional seating at the pool. There is plenty of room for more tables/chairs.

I’m not sure if this is a new thing for KOA or if it’s just more common on east coast KOA’s but the golf cart rentals and usage on property is out of control. If this is the direction of KOA properties I will no longer be a customer. Allowing kids to scream around the property with music blasting all hours of the day is not what I’m looking for when trying to get away.

Everything was in the cabin that was needed, just had some bugs that I wish were not there. The cabin was spacious had everything i needed. Very nice campground.

Deluxe cabin we stayed in was just ok. The bathroom smelled like urine and one of the totes that stored bedding had bugs inside. Other than that..it was ok. For the price we payed no one should have any of those issues or concerns.

We love this KOA! Large, flat sites, a huge pool, easy access to the beach and an on-site restaurant that serves delicious breakfast and lunch. The maintenance staff promptly fixed a problem with the shore power.

Our stay this year was disappointing. Even under new management, the campground has offered less and still charging more. KOA campgrounds have just become finically prohibitive. After 8 years of staying here, we will not be back.

Overall great campground with good activities and amenities. Wish there were more septic sights, especially being at a beach. Two campgrounds around then offer all full hook ups, not sure why this campground can not. There is no handicap accessibility for the beach.. steep dangerous steps and only one access for beach.

The campground was very clean; they offered a TON of activities for the kids. My biggest complaint would be the stairs going out to the beach. My second complaint would be the dog owners. They were very rude as far as letting their dog just poop anywhere. I said something to two owners who let their dog just poop on my site. Another dog barked from 5:30 AM until night at EVERY person.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only complaint we had was the bathrooms were pretty dirty during our entire stay.

The grounds were well maintained, the amenities were excellent, and my campsite was just fine. I did notice that the restrooms were not cleaned often despite signs stating they were cleaned periodically through the day. I only witnessed the bath house being cleaned once. More than once there was blood on the floors/walls that was left for HOURS/overnight which is absolutely a biohazard.

Enjoyed the stay with the kids. They played on the bouncy pad, playground, and pool for hours. Walkable to the beach! Having Tina’s cafe on site was great for breakfast and lunch options.

Bathrooms rarely had toliet paper and we had no knowledge that the ramp beach acesss with less stairs was closed upon check in.

Overall it was a wonderful stay and a lovely campground. I would recommend just a few things though … bbq grills at all campsites, shelves in showers, better pool maintenance on equipment (there was such a loud constant whistling noise), and better attention to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Thanks!

Your support staff out in the Golf carts were amazing. 10/10 Your office folk up front were ok 6/10. Not rude but not outgoing or friendly like last year.Also, no one up front asked for or reminded us about next year's reservations which I thought was odd. Atmosphere was good but we did notice a large uptick of pot smoking on the grounds and beach. Not necessarily your fault but worth mentioning

This is the second time we've stayed at this campground. It is very nice. This year it was a last minute pivot (long story) so we were unable to book the premium sites by the office. We had site 226 and it was closer to the beach so that was a plus. They were still cleaning up from a nor'easter so there was some debris around that they were cleaning up. No big deal. Our site did not offer a lot of shade and our awnings didn't help either. So I'd get a sight where your camper shields the sun. Centrally located to lots of things to do. Office staff very nice. We ended up having to evacuate because another nor'easter was coming in. Aww the adventure of RVing!

I love this spot, especially on October. We travel by RV, but there are plenty of cabin options for other family and friends to meet us there. This year we were chased out by a storm/mandatory evacuation, but staff handles the evacuation smoothly and refunds were given instantly. I try to come every year.
