It was wonderful! Thank you so much! The camping cabin was perfect for my family. The only thing I would change would be for it to have heat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were nice and clean! Beach access was such a plus…great family atmosphere. Thanks again!

We had to stay an extra day, and that was no problem. Then we had to delay our delay by a few hours because of high winds- again, no problem. Everyone at the desk was so nice! and I especially enjoyed the hot shower in the bath house

Deluxe Cabin. Nice and clean. Thanks for all the soaps (including dish soap). Fitted bottom sheet for the bunks would be a real plus! Outdoor furniture was wonderful. Electric grill was nice, but ours was very dirty. Grounds were so neat and clean and staff was extra friendly! We will return. Thanks for a great place to enjoy the beach.

Excellent location! We were able to visit sites north and south of the campground from this central location on the Outer Banks Clean bathrooms. We loved hearing the waves each night. Lots of long walks on the seemingly endless beach. We do wish the WIFI worked better. The host in the office acknowledged that the WIFI doesn’t reach very far and offered us the cafe space if we “had” to us

The deluxe tent site was fantastic. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. My reason for four stars was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I do realize it’s a beach resort, but more could have been done to keep the floors clean. Also, some slight mold in the showers.

My best friend and I, along with her kids, booked this stay as an end of the year treat. We were so surprised at how much this KOA offered. The kids had a blast. The shop saved us money and time for last minute needs. The views were beautiful. The rooms were just right for what we needed. Will be back. Happy to be a KOA member.

Facilities were very nice, however there had been a lot of rain the day we arrived and the camp site as well as the road leading to the bathrooms were flooded for several days making it impossible to simply walk around the campgrounds, we were in a tent site so didn’t have a lot of options. We dealt with this for 2 nights and were refused a refund for our remaining 2 nights. Disappointed.

We stayed at a site next to the dunes and really enjoyed it. I used the shower facility, and it was clean, convenient and the water was hot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great set up with pool, tiki bar, Cafe, etc. Enjoyed watching the parasurfers and sunset across the road. Lots of cool activities too. Would definitely stay again.

One of the best KOAs we have had the pleasure of staying at. Tent site has a nice pad and large covered area for the picnic table. Highlights include that Koa stretches across the whole island so it was a 3 minute walk east to watch sunrise on the beautiful sandy beach and 3 minute walk west to a lovely field with rocking chairs, gazebos and a pier to watch the sunset.

Great KOA. Lots of activities. They had a nice Halloween party for kids. The campground has plenty of activities to do. They are very nice and caring. We were stuck on the island due to road closures and they let us use our site for a few hours after check out time. Of course no one was coming on the island or going out but it was very nice. I loved the island and also Ocracoke.

We stayed in a rustic cabin in late October and loved our stay. The cabin stayed cozy even without heat. I really liked that they provided a mini fridge. The amenities were really nice. There were so many...dog play area, tiki bar, awesome pool and hot tub, laundry, trash pick up, game room, the list goes on. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly. I would absolutely stay again.

It’s a daring experience just because of the hurricane Melissa roaring in the islands. The whip tail of this caused a strong wind blowing in to the outer banks. This is one of the reasons why bailed out early. The a/c in the cabin is old and noisy.

Great campground located on the beach with beach access. Great store with a cafe where you can order food. Beautiful, large pool and a large hot tub. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Marion and Sandra both are very customer service oriented and go out of their way to help you.

The Bad - roads in the campground were the worst we have seen in 5 years coming. Lots of pot holes all over the place. The cable did not work. The so called premium site was super small. Even the fire pit was over on the neighbors space. Poorly designed. Need to rethink the layout. Beach access was terrible. People with foot or leg issues were having a lot of difficulty getting up the ramp

We got 2 sites and tent camped here for 2 nights with 5 kids and 6 adults, including my elderly parents. Everyone enjoyed the trip. Beach during the day and pool time in the evening was great! The kids had a blast on the Glow Train. Our sites were thankfully next to each other and had a fire pit, grill, water, electric and picnic table with a cover. We'll be back!

Site 100 was pretty neat to people watch at the beach access. Not intrusive, but tje sewer hook up there was a challenge. High of our RV was not compatible with the hookup, but we made it work. Lots of activities and great pool and music. Beach areas are receding so be prepared for high tide when you set up out there.

The campground has a variety of arrangements including small cabins, dog areas, covered picnic areas on individual camp spot. It has a pool, hot tub volleyball sand area all that I didn't use. There is a small store where you check in. They also cook on site. They have activities during the day: bingo, train rides for kids, karaoke etc. The campground doesn't back up to the beach; its more like a narrow shoreline. The current access to this is a series of narrow multiple level steps. How would anyone be able to carry cooler, chair, towels etc down to just gaze at the water seems unsafe. I didn't see anyone do that. Instead I had to travel to visited another beach. People friendly. Bathrooms were alright. They also have washer/dryers (didn't use). The parking areas are mostly gravel. It has rain before I got there and some places had pools of water. It was nice to hear the ocean sounds at night when it got dark and quite. There was a nice breeze during my entire trip.
