Great stay. The campground was well kept and improvements were evident everywhere. The pull through site with the concrete patio was a nice touch. It was nice to get out of the sand from other campgrounds. The owners are a family and they are wonderful to talk to. Dedicated people. Two suggestions for future: 1. Add cable to the park 2. Consider making the exit gate 2 way to allow folks in.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We would love to have cable but the expense is massive about $40,000 and then a monthly fee. But we do offer very good wifi so that you can stream. We need to have all guests enter at the office so as we can keep an eye on who is on park. Hence the gate.

It was a very nice stay and we're met by Rosemarie at 4:46pm at check in. She was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The campground was very nice and made our stay pleasant. Would definitely come back when in the area!

We loved our stay at Bucksport. The people were kind, the facilities where clean and the location was excellent. We stayed in #19 which was slightly unlevel for our 38' TT but the patio, firepit, and table made it feel like home. I highly recommend Bucksport/Fort Knox KOA if you are in the area.

The campsite was very clean and the utilities worked well. The staff were fantastic as we asked to extend our stay twice and they made it happen seamlessly.

Staff was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Guests did not make noise. The only unfortunate issue was truck noise from nearby US 1. That's probably not an issue for RVs, but it's significant for tenters.

Nice Park! Way above average site sizes and quality, as compared to other KOAs we have stayed in. The staff is over the top friendly and welcoming.

We stayed in the treehouse and it was absolutely perfect. We loved everything about it and we had a great time!

Handed sheet asking to rate 5 star as 0 given by KOA for < 5. Gave 5 star for friendly staff. Really 4 star. Old KOA kept in decent condition. Rated big rig tolerable not big rig friendly due to seriously tight curves and steep hill you can scrape on. High priced sloped, unpaved deluxe patio site & no cable. WiFi slow. Loud neighbor arrived 11:30pm. Not up to Holiday status standard of other KOAs.

Friendliest staff we have met this year ! They went above and beyond helping us feel welcome. The campground is quiet , clean, and welcoming. We can't wait to visit again next year .

Wonderful, quiet campground with a great little store. Camp hosts were amazingly helpful and friendly. Loved our hammock chair and concrete pad. Very clean all over…good recycling…great, refreshing pool! Our dog loved walking around the campground!

New to camping, so we tried the deluxe cabin. Family vacation so we had two cabins. Kids enjoyed pool. Very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy the 3 days. Would stay again. Owners were awesome.

This is a wonderful place, central to the midcoast area. Although the campground itself doesn't have a lot of things to do; it acts as a great base camp. Short distances and to all of the midcoast. 45 minutes to Bar Harbor, Acadia and MDI. About 15 minutes from Fort Knox and the observatory. half an hour to lovely downtown Belfast and the Queen City, Bangor Maine. The owners are very accomodating.

We Really loved staying here. The owners and staff are fantastic, helpful and very personable. We had a KOA Patio site and it was perfect. Long level pull through and nicely landscaped too. The table and chairs on the cement patio were as nice as at home if not nicer. This is a well kept campground and it also offers activities for everyone from kids to seniors. Strongly Recommend this campground

Was ok, would've like to have been closer to Acadia National Park, was quite a ride everyday. Seems the park is pretty overrun with seasonal campers, would've liked to have a pull through, but none available.

Outstanding Fall experience! David and Marlene were fantastic. So friendly and fun and went out of their way to make it special for us! We had a great site and it was right at the tail end of their season! The leaves are beautiful and it's just a fun place to be!

Campgrounds were great. Clean well kept. Actually gave us a welcoming gift when we checked in which is unheard of. Gentleman that parked us extremely helpful. They should have a 10but only given 1-5 to choose from.

One of the best KOA's I have been to. Beautiful campground, friendly hosts, incredibly well maintained. We stayed in the glamping tent and it was an awesome experience. Very nice, comfortable, and fun; the experience of tent camping with none of the challenges. Comfortable beds, private bathroom, refrigerator, propane grill, etc. The campground is in a great location relative to bar harbor and Acadia National park as well as other things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this KOA for anyone wanting to go camping in Maine. Thanks David and Marlene!!
