It turned out to be great weather, better than the forecast. My son had a great time with all the activities and loved the haunted house. We just had very messy neighbors and woke up to empty beer cans on our site that blew over during the night and their dog started barking at 6am and they didn’t get up to walk the dog so he continued to bark till after 7am

Was a great stay your staff were amazing it’s a shame we got rained out two days early tho. Had lots of wood and stuff so we managed to find other campers who could use the stuff. Had to leave Sunday and the rain managed to get into our tent and completely soak everything.

We had a wonderful 2-day camping stay and really enjoyed the overall experience. The campsite had everything we needed, with plenty of amenities nearby. The office was well stocked with food supplies and essential camping items, which was very convenient in case we missed anything. The swimming area, clean washrooms, and kids’ play area made the stay comfortable for the whole family.

9 of us family get together every year for a few days to celebrate my husband who passed away in 2020. We wanted fun and laughter and KOA Barrie provided just that. The kids aged 11-4 had an absolute blast and we felt safe letting them go to activities alone. We were across from them but we will definitely go again.

Very nice KOA, lots of activities for the kids. We're retired so didn't benefit from that. Nice that the campground was quiet by 11;00

My wife and I discussed that if a survey was received we would answer honestly We left one night early totally disgusted We admit this decision had a lot to do with the weather but have to say that what happened the second night of our stay was ridiculous People who moved into the sites behind us were VERY loud with music and noise going on up and past midnight We will NOT be returning ... eve

It's a very nice place, very well located near Toronto and Wasaga Beach. The showers are very clean. The staff is very friendly.

This is our fifth year coming to KOA and we absolutely love it. We love the activities for the kids, and how safe if is. The camp staff are always so friendly and we appreciate that so much.

Stay was amazing and kids had a blast. Capture the Flag was a huge hit. Prices were reasonable. Staff were all fantastic and deserve high praise. I'll definitely be traveling here again. Only downside was the men's bathroom was out of order during part of our stay and only having one shower and two toilets was a little rough. Loved the stay, wish I could have tried all the fudge.

We had a great time with the family. We had a cabin and a tent site. There were lots of fun activities to do with the kids as well as the pool, playground, mining shack and wagon rides. We were there during Karnival week and the kids absolutely loved it. We will be back for sure.

Stay was great, lots of fun activities for the kids. Camp grounds were well kept. Didn't love that the adult swim was right in the middle of the day. It would be nice if it was as soon as the pool opens or when it closes from 7pm to 8pm. There were also multiple dirty bandaids in both pools both days we were there.

It was our first time camping at KOA Barrie. It exceeded my expectations. Clean, fun, safe, and an overall great weekend! We will be back again at some point in the near future.

Everyone there was so friendly! Park and facilities were always super clean. Loved that pizza and firewood can be delivered directly to your site.

KOA is great! only complaint is the sandy sites instead of grass and they wouldn't buy back unopened bags of wood.

The campground and their employees were amazing. Facilities are exceptionally clean. It’s great for families with young ones. Good amenities with a store and restaurant. Tent sites are at the front of the property, right across from the entrance/exit gates. It’s constant traffic in and out all day long. There’s no separation between sites; expect road, train, plane, and constant camper nois

I had an easy time getting in and out, which made it super convenient for my concert in Toronto. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the short stay even better.

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
