Always enjoy our Halloween weekend lodge adventure. Staff always extremely friendly and helpful. Campground well maintained and welcoming. Lots of activities to keep kids busy. Love it !

We stayed in Cabin 214 it was clean & comfortable. We had a great weekend with lots of family fun activities. Suggestions: Change porch light so it illuminates the entire porch. Make the family/accessible washroom available without a key as 9 year old boy doesn't want to be in women's washrooms, but not alone in men's either,& seniors can't shower standing without a hand held nozzle on hose.

The facilities were very lovely and the programming was very engaging. We really enjoyed the overall culture of the campground. Facilities were clean and well maintained, staff were very kind and helpful.

We had a great stay. Checkin was smooth as sik. Special recognition to Taggert who helped the old folks with the TV and the air conditioner and even a pot for our spaghetti. Thank you Taggert. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Five stars for sure.

We have been gong to the KOA in Barrie for 11 years with a group of friends. We come from the Sudbury area and golf while there. We stay in the deluxe cabins and the staff has always been helpful and the cabins are always ready for when we arrive.We hope to return next year again.Thank you Barrie KOA.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay/accommodation, it was the perfect outcome for us hanging out with friends. It was a quiet/calm/relaxing/stress free time. Just what we needed. It was a great time!

I really like the idea of having a coffee machine in the cabin. However, it would have been nice to have cups and sugar, stir sticks etc to go with it. So it was pointless for us. �� Also when we opened the coffee maker to put water in it, there was already water sitting in it from who knows when. Disappointed as a warm drink on the cool night and morning would have been nice.

We had the best stay in a cozy little cabin. Kids had so much fun!! We will be back again and recommend the KOA for anyone looking for an amazing camping experience.

3 families, wanted fun for kids, ages 1,4,7,10 They loved the safe freedom to explore, really enjoyed the programmed events. Very good young staff. Flowers spectacular. Great cabin setup. Beach quality sand in playground - able to castle. We used to have time share at Horseshoe and are at home in the area. I lived on RCAF Edgar the last 3 years until it closed in 1963. Mini golf, bouncy pad?

We took our 2 grandchildren to stay for one night in the two room cabin and they had so much fun. Our only complaint was about the firewood that we purchased. They were very large pieces and not aged at all. As we did not bring an axe to cut kindling we could not get our fire going even with a whole package of fire starters from you. Kids were disappointed about that.

We had some trouble with our neighbours on electric scooters that also insulted the weight of one of our friends on another site & consistently pestered the children. Staff dealt with it professionally & quickly, but still put a dampener on the trip. Only other tiny complaint would be to change adult swim time from 3-4 to 10-11 or another time. That is primetime that kids want to go.

We had a great stay at KOA Barrie from August 24! The campground was clean, peaceful, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and had a relaxing time camping. It was a great little getaway, and we would definitely come back again! ����

All in all I think the Barrie KOA does a great job. The washroom was kept clean and so was the grounds. People at the office were most helpful. I will probably be back next summer.

I was disappointed with my cabin and the service received regarding it. The mini fridge, which is ridiculously small, was not keeping food cold. Twice it was looked at and nothing done about it. Spending $300+ per night, better service is expected. A big bag of garbage was sitting by the fire pit when we checked in. The water was shut off without warning, which made for a freezing cold shower.

Beautifully kept campground, lots of fun things to do! Staff were all very polite and friendly— even going above and beyond to share tape with us for crafting as we left ours at home. You can feel the genuine desire to go above and beyond and ensure everyone enjoys their stay!

Our family enjoyed our stay very much! The tie dye event, store and pools were a big hit with the kids. Cabins were spotless and very comfortable! We are planning to book again for next summer�

We really enjoyed the park. It was very clean, peaceful and everything you hope for in a camping experience. We rented a small cabin. It was perfect for us. I love having our firewood delivered and garbage picked up. If I could change anything it would be to keep the pool open from 8 to 9 for an adult only swim. The pools were so relaxing I could not get enough.

Another great family memory making few days! We always stay in the deluxe lodges, very comfortable. Will bring a spray cleaner next time as one wasn’t available this visit. Visitor parking passes seem a little inconsistent our neighbors had a third car with visitor pass and yet our pregnant with toddler daughter visited and was told she couldn’t drive in and had to park and walk down.

I always rent a cabin and have found it clean I do believe that two cars should be able to park at the cabins. They then would be safer and allow traffic to flow. Thanks for looking after the family over these many years..

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
