We had a wonderful time staying in one of the Deluxe Cabins! The grounds were beautiful and clean, everyone was friendly, lots for kids to do, staff was very helpful!

We love the cabins but they do need some updating (windows are hard to open, tv hard to operate, outside needs staining) We are happy that our dog is allowed. Grounds and bathrooms are clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Love that there is pizza and that it is delivered to our cabin(a little pricey though) and Kawartha ice cream...yum!

Physically, the stay was great however, when having items from the store delivered to a friends cabin, they save the card whether it’s yours or not this needs to be changed to prevent others from being charged incorrectly.

This was our first stay at the barrie KOA and honestly we (group of 8) couldn't of asked for anything more in terms of comfort, cleanliness and staff attentiveness .I would definitely recommend this campground to everyone who is looking for a great place to escape from the city , we've already booked for next year.

I was very disappointed. Not only did I feel unimportant and ignored, I felt humiliated by the response I received when I asked for help. We’ve been going for 7 years but something in the vine hAs changed. We’re done.

We had an awesome stay Had 2 trailer sites and a cabin Grandchildren had a great time Lots of activities I would plant some more shade trees and bushes for privacy between sites.

We have been coming here for years and have found it to be going down hill. The pools were very dirty as well as the showers in the bathrooms. The activities for the kids during the week is less and less and is filled with things like cotton candy thats not an activitie and it needs to be paid for. The jumpy pad is no longer and was replaced with a boring blow up maze. The staff were great though.

We enjoyed our stay in cabin 218. Staff were very friendly. We did run out of hot water. The microwave needs to be replaced. All in all we would stay again great for young families.

Amazing campground. Very clean and well maintained from the washrooms to the grounds and pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This campground has a pizza, hotdogs, ice cream, etc. They even deliver the food to your site. Highly, highly recommend the place. We stayed in a cabin and was very comfortable.

Another great stay at the Barrie KOA! The only concern we had was the cabin beside us looked to be housing 11+ people. It was a little noisy and chaotic. Other than that, everything was super!

We had a great stay. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. We have already booked for 2027 in cabin 219. We hadn't been there for 20 years ( when we used to tent ). We couldn't believe how things had grown and changed. Thank you for a great stay. See you next year.

We look forward to coming every year! My 8 year old son asked me if we’d be able to go every year FOREVER ;) A couple recommendations: I think we need those speed bumps back. There were a lot of vehicles going way too fast. Maybe bigger signs indicating the speed limit? An inflatable movie screen out on the lawn would be amazing and would draw a great crowd! Thank you! Best camping experience by far! Everyone is so nice love the resort amenities but it’s at a campground. We booked another stay August Long Weekend as it’s the only place we will camp now! Thank you Barrie KOA!

We love the KOA. We go every year, usually more than once. The cabins, camp sites and facilities are clean and well maintained. We rented a deluxe cabin and it has everything you need all the comforts of home nestled in a beautiful location.

With exception of a blonde lady, store staff not as friendly as last year. I don't know her name but she was great. The staff delivering food, clean up, garbage pick up were all exceptional helpful an�d friendly. Park was kept very clean and well cared for.

WE were very disappointed with the price the kids on the site next to us on a trailer site were told to take one of there tents down when it was all good the years before. The policing of quiet time at 9;30 was a bit premature especially when we were very quiet.We lost the free third day which was disappointing as well.We as a group of over 50 have been coming to KOA for 13 years We wont be back

I was only here for 1 midweek night. I ended up early for check in (different times for RV vs cabin!!) I was told that even though the unit was ready it would cost extra to check in early. I waited an hour then checked in. Unit and park were nice, but for some reason (despite other unit availability) put mid reunion group sites. Very loud and kids all in our space. Poor check out. Not going back

This was our 3rd year coming to the Koa in Barrie for our family reunion. The staff are friendly and very helpful, I stayed in a cabin which was very clean and inviting. Looking forward to seeing you next year!!

We had our family reunion here for the third year. The staff is very friendly, helpful and obliging. The cabins and public washrooms are exceptionally clean. It is a beautiful campground that offers many fun events for the children and adults. The only suggestion I have is one or two portable toilets across from the cabins 206 to 210 for little ones and older adults due to urge incontinence.

Staff upon arrival and throughout the day were absolutely amazing, friendly, courteous, fun and professional! Our only complaint is that we rented a cabin without a washroom and in all honesty, those beds are absolutely horrible to sleep on. We have a deluxe cabin rented in October for the Halloween weekend and I hope those mattresses are much better. Beautiful part nice paving awesome staff

I have been camping here my entire life and absolutely loved it! My only concern was that our cabin door would only remain closed if it was locked, so while we were outside, the cabin door was open. Other than that, my stay was amazing!

We had a great time and really enjoyed the kindness of the staff. Very friendly and very helpful. Love the convenience of the text and they deliver what you need straight to your site. Also love the fact if you don't feel like cooking get the KOA kitchen a call or text and order some food. The KOA makes life easier. Highly recommend staying here.

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
