We had a wonderful time staying in one of the Deluxe Cabins! The grounds were beautiful and clean, everyone was friendly, lots for kids to do, staff was very helpful!

What more could you want? Like to have fun with the family, park near the entrance at the top. Want quiet then park at the back in the adult section. Beautifully kept with gardens and trees, wood delivery, garbage pick up at your site twice a day and one of the best pizzas I've had. Staff are friendly and competent. Enjoy full hookups.

This is our fifth year coming to KOA and we absolutely love it. We love the activities for the kids, and how safe if is. The camp staff are always so friendly and we appreciate that so much.

We enjoyed the creative, fun kid's activities and the super friendly staff co-ordinating them. The park was very clean especially the washrooms. The store prices and meals and cones are very reasonable priced. It was great having our garbage picked up and wood delivered. I cannot wait to return next year and start the same tradition with my grandchildren that my own kids had. Thank you!

Sites are clean, bit crammed together all expected. Friendly staff and secure grounds. The one odd thing was the sewer for our site and the sites next to us were higher then the site.

This is the most beautiful and well run campground we have been to. All the gardens are meticulously cared for making a perfect setting for a relaxing get away. Staff were all friendly as well. Will definitely be back.

We love the cabins but they do need some updating (windows are hard to open, tv hard to operate, outside needs staining) We are happy that our dog is allowed. Grounds and bathrooms are clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Love that there is pizza and that it is delivered to our cabin(a little pricey though) and Kawartha ice cream...yum!

The camp appeared well run and maintained, but the sites were not as good as we have experienced at similar KOAs. Our site was full hook up near the amenities, but was not level and was ground only (muddy after rain), no gravel. Set up required jockeying the rig and placing leveling blocks. Restrooms were insufficient for the number of parents and kids present - There were often waiting lines.

Physically, the stay was great however, when having items from the store delivered to a friends cabin, they save the card whether it’s yours or not this needs to be changed to prevent others from being charged incorrectly.

Stay was amazing and kids had a blast. Capture the Flag was a huge hit. Prices were reasonable. Staff were all fantastic and deserve high praise. I'll definitely be traveling here again. Only downside was the men's bathroom was out of order during part of our stay and only having one shower and two toilets was a little rough. Loved the stay, wish I could have tried all the fudge.

We usually we stay here on the “Cedarwood” sites between 10-14 days twice a year and always enjoy the staff and facilities. The owners of this campground are always working on improvements such as new sites, improving sites and new asphalt on the roadways. Thanks to the kind staff especially the “young ladies” at the canteen and rec hall for their kindness and patients with younger kids.

A very nice campground with good amenities, just as you'd expect from KOA. The people are friendly. Depending on the wind direction, you can unfortunately hear the train and the highway.

It was a terrific KOA campground, super clean, fellow campers were busy and actively involved at the pool, walking, biking, fishing, socializing.. The Best campground we’ve encountered in 5.5 years of full time RV’ing.. liked that it was gated, safe and secure.

This location is one of my favorite , however as I choose to stay in the upgraded Adults only section I did notice that there were younger kids on a site for several days. This was not an issue on this visit, but my assumption is that if the rules of adult only are not enforced this may change the experience in the future

The only think I could suggested is more activities for adults . Setting up notifications on activities through texts. Our stay was 14 days . The park is well run and clean . The take out area (food) is delicious . The pool is well kept. The pond is very beautifully . Lots of bike trails , starting across the street from the park. We will be staying next year for two weeks.

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
