One nite, paid 140 most expensive Koa we have stayed at, disappointed had to pay 20 for two guest for a 2 hour visit. Clean and quiet, friendly staff .

We have been coming since 2017 for Halloween. We have a great time, staff are great and despite our kids being too big to come with us, we still decorate and hand out candy. Btw, the pizza is delicious!

Campground was very well maintained only thing we didn’t like is they still charged if you have guest come over even though all the events for the season were over and the pool was closed so not sure why you would have to pay to have a friend come to your campsite for a couple hours to visit

Very wet conditions due to excessive rain and our lot had great drainage. A bit tight for our 32 foot fifth wheel.

It had been 2 years since our last visit and the park was noticeably run down dog park gate broken the roads have many potholes and the cost for fall should be less when all amenities are not available

We had the very best time celebrating Halloween this past weekend. The haunted house was the best I’ve seen. Even better then wonderlands Halloween haunt. Well done !!! I really enjoyed decorating my camper with my Mr Bones on top and all my skeletons everywhere. We will definitely be back next year for this one as well as a few other. Well maintained, very clean, great activities. Shop is clean and tidy, would like to see different sweaters(more variety). Only small challenge was the soap dispenser seems to be out frequently in shower stalls but not a big problem as most campers bring their own.

There was an unfortunate mishap with our stay. A water main burst on our site, which they quickly accommodated us another site. Which turned out to be already occupied. So the site beside that was available which we accepted. But we received no compensation in any form for the inconvenience. We planned to stay with friends and ended up too far apart to spend any evening quality time together.

We stayed in the adult only section and we were happy to see the concrete patio to park the trailer on, the outdoor patio set and bbq. Staff were extremely friendly and had amazing activities for everyone of all ages. The only downside were 2 nights where fellow campers in the adults section were quite loud beyond curfew but not the KOA’s fault.

The campground and their employees were amazing. Facilities are exceptionally clean. It’s great for families with young ones. Good amenities with a store and restaurant. Tent sites are at the front of the property, right across from the entrance/exit gates. It’s constant traffic in and out all day long. There’s no separation between sites; expect road, train, plane, and constant camper nois

Enjoyed our recent stay. Friendly, helpful staff, clean facilities, the wood delivery and available on site pizza and other snacks was a surprising touch.

We have noticed that not all dogs are a leash in their spot or even when walking , we do our best at all campsites to obey all rules , has owners never know on how 2 dogs or 3 will act , in particular when there’s a lot of smaller dogs around they are part of the family and don’t need for them to get injured . 2 ) it should be a must for a security guard to wear a vest at night time going aro

Had a great time! The kids love all the Halloween activities. My only comment is that the trick or treating is too early at 4-5pm. Would be better at 5-6pm or 6-7pm. The first year we started coming it was later and it worked better in our opinion. We will be back next year!

The good: After hours check in was easy and fast. The cabin was clean and just like I'd expect it. Price was okay. The bad: Kids were screaming just outside the cabin while we tried to sleep. Once the kids finally settled down close to midnight, there was a lot of noise from the tree above the cabin scraping on the metal roof and dropping acorns all night. Terrible night sleep unfortunately

I found there wasn’t much to do. The trail is too short to really enjoy. The other guests were blaring music all weekend and the bathrooms were awful. We stayed last year and had a much better time. But I don’t think I’d come back, especially because of the bathrooms. They were just gross.

We stayed in the adult section of the park and it was truly one of the nicest settings we've stayed at. Very beautiful landscaping everywhere and the lot size was spacious, with lots of privacy too. The staff were incredible, very quick to look after whatever you needed and very nice, friendly and polite. Will definitely come back!

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
