We enjoyed our stay with Barrie KOA. The only suggestion I could make is to have a separate bike lane for people with their bikes. Its great to see people out playing and off screens but it would also be great if they had a bike lane away from vehicles pulling trailers so everyone is safe.

We are used to provincial parks, so the closeness of the trailers was a little too much for us. No privacy at all. Very different. And when leaving the setup was crazy. We paid extra to have water hook up and sewer hook up, but yet still had a lineup of people in front of our trailer that needed to use the dump station. Which meant we could not leave until there was room for us to get out.

We hadxa premium site in the adult section. All of the premium sites had a very nice table and chair set, and the table had a hoke for an umbrella, but no umbrella was in it. Also, it would have been nice to have the cement pad and the patio stones swept off of debris and stones. Also I had to call the office 4 times on Saturday to tell them that the ladies and mens washrooms had no paper towel

Was great stayed in 307. Only thing was the delivery to the sites seemed a little slower than normal but I don't know how busy they were. All the staff here are friendly and very hard working from check in right to the ones that clean the sites when people leave.

Breakfast from canteen was undercooked and tasted microwaved. Staff were helpful and camp and facilities were clean.

Staff upon arrival and throughout the day were absolutely amazing, friendly, courteous, fun and professional! Our only complaint is that we rented a cabin without a washroom and in all honesty, those beds are absolutely horrible to sleep on. We have a deluxe cabin rented in October for the Halloween weekend and I hope those mattresses are much better. Beautiful part nice paving awesome staff

What a beautiful park. We stayed in the adult area and it was just amazing. Perfect site, bbq provided and chairs and table, garbage pickup every day as well. The staff were great to us and worked hard to maintain the park and it showed

Very early in the season but staff was super attentive and helpful. Staff everywhere smile and greet you everuy time you cross paths. Still the best pizza and the best ice cream. Thanks for a great week.

Beautifully kept park. We stay in the back adult section and absolutely love the sites. I have to admit, after travelling a long way then setting everything up and trying to get a dog settled in who isn’t used to camping yet, the pizza we had delivered to our site was the best pizza we have ever tasted!! Lots of places to go for a nice walk with the dog or just by yourself.

Very nice quite comfortable park most of the time. They have really nice swimming pools, warm and clean. The park is well manicured and taken care of with lots of flowers everywhere. The only complaint I have are the gas powered golf carts going by our campsite many times per day. They are a little loud .

On nous a dit que la piscine fermait à 17h30 nous sommes arrivés à 16h30… on se dépêche pour aller se baigner… c est barré et impossible de se baigner 5 min… On demande des infos concernant la carte de membre… on nous explique les points pour les rabais mais jamais dit que l on avait 10% sur chaque réservation… c est triste que vos employés ne soient pas au courant des choses de

I have been camping here my entire life and absolutely loved it! My only concern was that our cabin door would only remain closed if it was locked, so while we were outside, the cabin door was open. Other than that, my stay was amazing!

The site was beautiful! Just wish the store was open later. 6 PM is too early on the camping/driving night so we were not able to enjoy a campfire when we got there as I forgot to pre-order wood and the shop was closed.

Excellent as always; except it will be better when we find out what replaces where the bouncy pillow used to be. Its been 2 seasons now so we are excited to see what new attraction or attractions are coming to this Holiday Koa. Thanks for continuing to make this a great camping experience.

Clean, beautiful, organized. This is a top notch facility. I brought people who had never been to the KOA before. They were blown away. Everyone working there was professional, kind and knowledgeable.

Staff are fantastic! The breakfast delivery amazing and food was too! The girls running the Bingo….thanks for allowing us 80’s themed dressed ladies enjoy Bingo with you and the disco and glitter tats!!! The park is amazing! The guys cleaning up the garbage and delivering wood/food very pleasant! Thanks for an amazing weekend!

We loved the KOA Barrie. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Our site was clean and worked well for us. Garbage pickup, wow. We are coming back for the Labour Day weekend.

Staff was great. Absolutely phenomenal. Pricing was great. Some disgusting human took a dump in the male shower, then proceeded to smear it on all the handles, taps, door handles etc in the shower. Even the outside handle. This can get people extremely sick. It made me second guess every time going to the bathroom and overly cautious using all entryways.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the kindness of the staff. Very friendly and very helpful. Love the convenience of the text and they deliver what you need straight to your site. Also love the fact if you don't feel like cooking get the KOA kitchen a call or text and order some food. The KOA makes life easier. Highly recommend staying here.

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
