I called them the day before we were supposed to arrive and ask if they had room for our trailer that night and they came back with an affirmative. We arrived 5 minutes before they closed and the staff waited to give me my package The staff was very friendly and accommodating my needs. Very well done. We also ordered on the menu and they did the delivery to our trailer and the pizza was good.

The facilities were always so well kept. There was tons of great activities for the kids. They had a blast.

This is a well maintained campground. We stayed in June 2026 and really enjoyed our visit. Our site was spacious. Washrooms and showers were very clean. Pool was great for the kids and there were lots of other activities going on to keep them busy. Staff were very helpful! Loved having the kitchen on site and the pizza was delicious.

The newly paved road is a great improvement, the new water system gave us 60 psi all day long. Much improved control on the pool swim times for adults was greatly appreciated.

The park is very neat and well kept, the staff was helpful and the guests were friendly. The sites were easy to enter with large trailers and had all the extras. We would definitely recommend Barrie KOA to family and friends.

Booked this KOA for the family activities, and it was the biggest disappointment. Movie night wasn’t even the advertised movie, the activities felt thrown together, and an ice cream float event ended with a staff member making my daughter cry. The dog park also had very little shade, and our dog escaped because the fence was too high and not secure enough. Was not a great experience at all

The temps were very high when we stayed. I love that we would just put our garbage out daily and it was picked up. Nice clean park and friendly staff. We stayed an extra day and there were no problems. Always my favorite KOA closest to me.

All the staff at Barrie KOA are wonderful. The Recreation Staff were amazing. They really made this past week a lot of fun for our grandson. The staff were amazing cleaning up the roads and making them safe after the July 1st storm. The fireworks were amazing. Many thanks to all the staff. We will see you next year. Have a great day

Best camping experience by far! Everyone is so nice love the resort amenities but it’s at a campground. We booked another stay August Long Weekend as it’s the only place we will camp now! Thank you Barrie KOA!

We love the KOA. We go every year, usually more than once. The cabins, camp sites and facilities are clean and well maintained. We rented a deluxe cabin and it has everything you need all the comforts of home nestled in a beautiful location.

Awesome was there for Canada Day , July 1st , nice firework, nice restaurant, and store very clean. We were in the adult section very quiet , no dogs barking ,

Everything is first class service I.e. order delivery to site, pick up garbage from site, clean up all public area. Two suggest minor improvements. 1. We were not told there was event happened on th camp so we missed a lot. 2. The toilet paper can be better quality that can save a lot. Thanks

With exception of a blonde lady, store staff not as friendly as last year. I don't know her name but she was great. The staff delivering food, clean up, garbage pick up were all exceptional helpful an�d friendly. Park was kept very clean and well cared for.

As always very clean, wifi much improved. Staff very helpful. Only knock we have is our relations came to visit for the day. She is pregnant and a baby. When heading out to leave they brought the car to the site to load up. Staff stopped after 4 min told them they have to move the car as they were loading the car. it is a very far walk for a pregnant person with everything to carry.

Just a quiet week before summer rush. Went into Barrie to shop the big stores. Took a day to Midland for a play. Had fires walks and read time.

It was our first time camping at KOA Barrie. It exceeded my expectations. Clean, fun, safe, and an overall great weekend! We will be back again at some point in the near future.

The Barrie KOA was the last stop on a round trip from Burlington ON to PEI. The KOA offered a clean, fun place to stay where I felt pampered. I’ll definitely stay at KOA again.

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
