Another great stay at the Barrie KOA! The only concern we had was the cabin beside us looked to be housing 11+ people. It was a little noisy and chaotic. Other than that, everything was super!

Our kids absolutely love coming here! This campground does an incredible job organizing activities and events to keep them entertained, which means the adults actually get to kick back and relax. The entire property is kept spotless, the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, and having the kitchen on-site is a fantastic bonus. This place checks every single box for a perfect family getaway!

Nice layout of sites, plenty of activities for families. Would have been nice it thebdump hook up was lower on the hill. Hard to dump up hill

We had a lovely site. The flowers throughout the campground are always beautiful. Was so peaceful in our area . site 377. We are seniors so like the peace and quiet. Our favourite campground.

Stayed in the adult section and loved it! Lots to do if you want or just relax. We enjoyed the live music Saturday night and ordered a pizza from the kitchen especially delivery to our campsite. We will be back!

It was amazing!! Only concern is they need more umbrellas at the pool. There seemed to be more when we first started coming . Less now, and weather is definitely hotter.. overall definitely a 10/10. Great memories! Thankyou

There needs to be more chairs and especially umbrellas at the pool. Our friend has cancer and couldn’t find a chair under an umbrella. They were used up. There should be no playing with balls in the pool. It was very busy and one lady got hit with a ball. These were adults playing volleyball with teens.they took half the pool over. Little kids couldn’t swim in that area. Otherwise we loved

Exceptional staff! Services were great. Camp store Kia excellent. Site was slightly small, and most disappointing it was not very level at all. I expected larger sites, but for the costs of the stay, a site that was fully prepped and very level for receiving a trailer should be a given.

We have been guests at Barrie KOA since 2024 and consistently enjoy the well�maintained amenities, family�friendly activities, and reliable RV services. I would like to note that RV sites 23–62 appear worn, with grass largely gone. These spacious sites have strong potential and would benefit from surface restoration.

We loved our stay only a few suggestions we stayed at lot 22 which was lovely it had a patio set and bbq it would of been nice to have a umbrella with the patio set. Also have a few more umbrella set up at the pool

Excellent stay, very enjoyable. The only concern was a young staff lady texting while driving through the park on a golf cart/UTV. Extremely dangerous with all the kids around. Shameful that an employee would be driving while texting.

We stayed for 2 nights to take in and enjoy the Canada day celebrations and loved the firework display. Great facilities overall, super friendly staff and we love staying in the adults only section and the clean, paved site with relaxing views that this section offers. Also a big fan of breakfast (and food in general) delivery to the site! This KOA is a regular stop for us!

Our last stay of 9 nights put us in a very busy site, we asked to move but were not accommodated although there were empty sites every night. Also pool closes too early for July with later sunsets. Staff are friendly washrooms and pool are very clean and well maintained. The campground landscaping is gorgeous.

Lovely park. We stayed in the lower loop and enjoyed the shady sites, with plenty of room between spaces. A shout out to Greta and Lindsay who helped me when I took a fall in the bathroom. My bloody nose made quite a mess, but they were kind and professional throughout. Greta sat with me until I was ready to move on. Thank you!

This is not our first stay at Barrie KOA, we try to make it out at least one time a season. It is close to Barrie for Day Trips and always lots to do at the camp ground.

Beautiful Campground, well kept and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night but decided to book on our way back from our trip for two nights to discover more of the area and enjoy the campground

Very nice campground. The girls in the office were very friendly and helpful. We requested a move to a different site that had more shade and they were very nice as they helped our move. Sites have nice space between them

We had an awesome stay your campground is beautifully kept. Oyr 2 grandsons loved the pool, your blow up maze & playgrounds. We definitely will be back

We had a great stay. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. We have already booked for 2027 in cabin 219. We hadn't been there for 20 years ( when we used to tent ). We couldn't believe how things had grown and changed. Thank you for a great stay. See you next year.

The park was well run and organized. The activities were more for children than adults. The overall conditions of eating area and restrooms were more then adequate. Helpful staff . The pull through areas need to be dumped more often. I would definitely come back, 4.5/5 for our stay.

A very enjoyable stay, very appreciative of the garbage pickup service. Staff very friendly. I would definitely stay at KOA again. however it is a little pricey and that would lessen how many times I could actually book.

It was great . We are hoping they will pave back in the Cedarwood area. The only issue we had was the bbq was almost out of propane. Only used it once and it was out. Another wishful thinking suggestion is to put a pool back in the adults only section that we can use all day .

We look forward to coming every year! My 8 year old son asked me if we’d be able to go every year FOREVER ;) A couple recommendations: I think we need those speed bumps back. There were a lot of vehicles going way too fast. Maybe bigger signs indicating the speed limit? An inflatable movie screen out on the lawn would be amazing and would draw a great crowd! Thank you! We loved all the activities going on for the kids it kept them busy while still including our special needs son. Just wish there was the same style deluxe sites above the hill as the hill and steps were difficult for our disabled son.

We absolutely love KOA, and it's usually our go-to choice whenever we go camping! My wife and I have both been coming to the Barrie KOA for as long as we can remember, and now getting to bring our own kids here and create those same memories is something really special to us. We came for the final Halloween and closing weekend of the season, and overall, we had an amazing time with friends and family. The kids had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories! That being said, we did feel there was one thing worth mentioning: the staff. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I completely understand that by the end of the season, everyone is exhausted, ready for a break, and looking forward to some well-deserved time off. We know how demanding the industry can be, and we appreciate the hard work that goes into making these experiences possible. However, customer service is still a big part of what makes a place special. Typically, the staff at KOA are bubbly, energetic, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this weekend, every staff member we encountered seemed unhappy to be there. Even asking a simple question or requesting something made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We understand that everyone has off days, but when that experience seems consistent across the board, it's hard not to notice. Did it ruin our weekend? Absolutely not! We still had a fantastic time, and the kids loved every minute of it. However, it definitely took away from that traditional KOA vibe we've come to know and love over the years. We'll absolutely continue to love KOA, and the Barrie location holds a special place in our hearts because of the memories we've made there over the years. We're sharing this feedback because we genuinely love the experience KOA usually provides, and we hope it's taken constructively. We look forward to coming back and continuing to create those special family memories for years to come!

Updated on Oct 13, 2026. - While we love returning here, it has become quite pricey compared to other high-quality, family-owned campgrounds. That said, we have to give a huge shout-out to the haunted house actors and organizers; the organization was flawless, and they did a fantastic job! Updated on Jul 13, 2026. - We've been staying at Barrie KOA since 2024, and it remains one of our favourite campgrounds. The location is incredibly convenient, and the variety of activities keeps our kids happily entertained throughout the weekend. The common areas and amenities are consistently well maintained, and the convenience store reliably saves us from the things we inevitably forget to pack. I do have one observation regarding the RV back‑in sites from 23 to 62. As always, all services — electricity, water, and sewer — worked perfectly, which has been our experience every single time at this KOA. However, these upper sites could benefit from some attention. The grass has worn away over time, leaving a mix of dirt and sparse low grass‑weed. It doesn't affect functionality, but given how spacious and genuinely impressive these sites are, I can't help but feel they have great potential with a bit of surface improvement. Overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more visits. A little refresh in that upper section would make an already great campground even better.
